    Tori Article in Brisbane Mail

    Saturday, May 05, 2007 | 20:15 UTC | Posted by Beth | Articles

“I’d been reading different books on the psyche and how we as women all have these ancient character types in us. Before Christianity became the central ideology the women were much more complex, so I was really drawn to this. We have different percentages of these women in us, but every woman can apply this to them. I’m just showing you my process.”

Aunt Sally sent in the link for this article, which ran in the Sunday edition of the Brisbane Mail in Australia.

Regis & Kelly Performance on YouTube

    Saturday, May 05, 2007 | 01:34 UTC | Posted by Beth | Video

The fun never stops, does it? CrystallineColey just sent us this clip from Tori’s “Big Wheel” performance on Regis & Kelly this morning (technically, today it was Kelly & Anderson). Mind you, this is the abbreviated version — without the “MILF” bridge. Afterward, she explains the chicken she’s holding on the cover of American Doll Posse. Well, that clears that up, doesn’t it?

“Father’s Son” was among the songs Tori performed the other night at the Sirius radio taping; Franco was good enough to post a video clip of her performance on YouTube. Check it out:

    The Observer's ADP Review

    Saturday, May 05, 2007 | 01:15 UTC | Posted by Beth | Reviews

Thanks to James, we know that American Doll Posse was reviewed in the UK Observer Sunday:

With her daughter nearly grown, war and femininity replace fairy stories and songs about orange knickers on Amos’s ninth studio album. The obligatory concept endures. This time, the music is channelled through five female characters representing different aspects of her personality and, with an eclectic 20 tracks, there are nearly as many musical styles on offer. Country hoedown (‘Big Wheel’), trance (‘Bouncing Off Clouds’) and heavy rock (‘Teenage Hustling’) are all united by Amos’s exaggerated American twang. Some of the power rock moments feel misjudged, but this is, none the less, a mammoth achievement.

    Hot ADP-On-Chart Action

    Saturday, May 05, 2007 | 00:59 UTC | Posted by Beth | TV/Radio/Web

OK, so technically we don’t know how American Doll Posse is doing on the charts yet, but what we do know, thanks to tmosaori and Ryan, is that the album is #10 on iTunes’ sales charts this week.

Meanwhile, Ivan let us know that “Big Wheel” has moved up the AAA charts from 19 to 12. Mama got it all in hand, indeed.

    ADP Release Party Video

    Friday, May 04, 2007 | 13:19 UTC | Posted by Violet |

Trent, publisher of PITNB, managed to take this cute video at the release party on May 1st. Tori did an “it’s just me” improv about being on her own without the boys or the posse, then went into “Almost Rosey.”
