    Catching Up With The Tour

    Tuesday, June 19, 2007 | 05:07 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Although we haven’t been posting individual stories for each of the recent concerts on the front page (chalk that up to the aforementioned nap!), we have been updating the individual pages for all the shows on the tour so far, including the setlist and any photos, videos or reviews that Toriphiles have been sending in. Reviews have been added pretty much as they come in, but we got behind the 8-ball for photos and videos. In the past couple days, a slew of photographs have been added for Munich, Vienna, Nuremberg, Copehagen, and Seinäjoki. Additionally, we just posted video clips for Düsseldorf, Oslo and Berlin.

Thanks to everyone who sent us files and links!

    Second Sydney Show

    Friday, June 15, 2007 | 20:40 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

A second show in Sydney on September 24th has been added. As with the first, it will be at the Sydney Opera House. It is on presale now at the Sydney Opera House box office and Ticketmaster listing.

Update: And while it’s old news by now, we would be remiss to not mention that a second show in Melbourne has been added as well on Tuesday, September 11th. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster. Apologies for the late notice: Undented napped all weekend.

Update: Thanks to Zac for pointing out that the Sydney Opera House also lists two more additional dates which have not been confirmed: Saturday, September 15th and Tuesday, September 25th. Presumably, that these two dates are tentative holds on the dates that may or may not become real depending on how ticket sales for the two announced shows go.

    Stuttgart: Holy Tubular (Isa)Bells, Batman!

    Monday, June 11, 2007 | 01:00 UTC | Posted by Violet | Touring

Isabel opened the Stuttgart show (smoking in more ways than one, we’ve heard), and treated the audience to “Tubular Bells” leading into “Devils & Gods.” “Sister Janet” made her debut appearance for this tour. Head over to the Stuttgart page to submit reviews, photos, and videos.

Petition: Bring Tori to New Zealand

    Friday, June 08, 2007 | 21:06 UTC | Posted by Beth | Toriphiles,Touring

Alastair wrote in to tell us that New Zealand-based Tori fans are putting together a last-ditch effort to bring Tori to New Zealand by collecting signatures on this petition. While Tori went Down Under in 2005 for the Original Sinsuality tour, she hasn’t been to NZ since Under the Pink!

    Preferred Seating Australian "Pre-Sale"

    Friday, June 08, 2007 | 11:59 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Several people have written in to let us know that Preferred Seating has starting selling their allotment of tickets for all of the Australian concerts.

However, please note: they are a ticket reseller so 1) buying tickets through them will entail paying a premium and 2) they do not specify seat assignments because they are provided a block of tickets from the promoter which they then assign to their customers after the time of purchase. That said, all indications from people who have used them before are that they do, in fact, provide good seats. You just have to be comfortable with paying the premium.

Note: We have been told by Tori Amos’s management that buying tickets through Preferred Seating does not guarantee you a seat. We’re not sure why that is, but since the source is very credible, we wanted to get that out there.

Additionally, Preferred Seating is not to be confused with VISA Entertainment, which also sells tickets to concerts and other events.

    Munich: Clyde and "Black Dove"

    Friday, June 08, 2007 | 01:25 UTC | Posted by Beth | Touring

Clyde opened the gig at the Philharmonie with “Bouncing Off Clouds,” “Black-Dove (January),” “Rattlesnakes” (would that be Clyde covering Tori covering Lloyd Cole, or Clyde covering Lloyd Cole?) and others. If you were there, head on over to the Munich page to chime in on the show!
