iTunes and the Quest for the Presale Code

Folks who purchased American Doll Posse through iTunes began receiving their tour pre-sale codes yesterday (finally!). One bit of useful information is that the pre-sales will start sometime in June, so it might be time to thaw out your credit cards and make sure your mouse-clicking fingers are in tip-top shape. Alfred and Andre, thanks for sending this our way!

North American Tour And Other Reports

During Tori’s CBC Radio 1 appearance, she announced that her North American tour will take place in October, November and December, with Canadian dates in October.

Also during the radio program, the station played studio versions of “Yo George,” “Digital Ghost” and “Bouncing Off Clouds.” Thanks to Raena for the report!

Meanwhile, over at the Orange Lounge, Tori performed “Beauty of Speed,” “Velvet Revolution,” “Father’s Son” and “Almost Rosey.”

Athens Date Confirmed

It’s confirmed … Tori will play the Fly Beeyond Festival in Athens on July 18th. She’ll be playing the same day as James and Air.

Josh Radin, Seth Lakeman Opening for Tori in Europe

Alexander tipped us off to the fact that acoustic singer-songwriter Joshua Radin will be opening for Tori on part of the European leg of her American Doll Posse tour. While Joshua will open for Tori from the June 17 show in Berlin to the July 4 show in London, English folk singer Seth Lakeman will open from the May 28 show in Rome to the June 13 show in Copenhagen. Joshua’s songs have earned recent play on popular TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Scrubs, and another of his songs, “Only You,” was remixed by Imogen Heap. Seth’s music has won a number of awards, both solo and with his group The Lakeman Brothers, with siblings Sean and Sam. Head to their Web sites to find out more.

Tori will be playing the Montreux Jazz Festival on July 11th. Tickets are on sale now.

How Tori Will Dress Her 'Living Dolls'

Amos prefers to support up-and-coming designers, so when planning this tour, she and Binns showcased emerging London designers in a variety of ways for the five dissimilar members. “When I think of Tori, I think of Freddy Mercury from Queen or David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust. When they were on stage, they gave you a bloody show,” says Binns.

Ticketmaster Releases U.S. Tour Details

Cliff tipped us off to the fact that Ticketmaster has launched a page for the upcoming ADP tour listing several cities and the tantalizing promise that specific dates and venues — and, we’re guessing, on-sale dates — are coming soon. TM is also plugging the iTunes pre-order deal, which includes those pre-sale codes.

iTunes Offers a 'Miracle'

Several of you pointed out this morning that both the standard and deluxe editions of American Doll Posse are available for pre-order on iTunes today, and shoppers can purchase “Big Wheel” there as of this morning.

Those who go in for the pre-order of either edition get “Big Wheel” now, and will receive the rest of the album’s tracks later, including “Miracle” — a bonus track we haven’t seen listed anywhere else — and access to a Ticketmaster pre-sale code, which is good for purchasing up to four tickets for upcoming Tori shows.

Edit: It looks like this offer is only being extended to fans on the US and Canada iTunes sites; folks at the UK site aren’t seeing listings for ADP or “Big Wheel” yet. However, folks in Italy — and perhaps other places in Europe, we haven’t heard — are able to buy “Bouncing off Clouds.”

On Sale Today, Istanbul (Well, Not Really)

Just a reminder that tickets for the Istanbul show go on sale today at Masstival.com and Biletix.com.

Update: Well, we thought they were going on sale, but we were sadly mistaken. Zeynep sets us straight: camping tickets for Masstival will go on-sale on April 11th and regular day tickets (either for a single day or for both days of the festival) will go on-sale on April 16th. Tickets will be available at Biletix (that much, at least, we got right). Note: on May 16th, prices for day tickets increase 10YTL so it pays to get them early!
