    1. Jenny says:

Tori hurt her hand in Norway during a walk or something, so there were no signatures at the M&G, only pictures, which made it somewhat special, because she was chattier than usual and took her time to get a picture done with everybody. The M&G lasted for about 45 minutes, if I remember correctly.

The Show started off really really strong with Pip and Cruel, which Tori highly enjoyed. She was in a really great mood! Except Pip's Set, highlights were Bells For her, Siren and A Case of you. Before China, Tori did an “improv” about how she hurt her hand “in the land of the midnight sun (Norway). This was a complete song, over 3 Minutes long and utterly beautiful. Amazing.

The Waitress with Hang Ten Honey seemed to be a big surprise for many fans, but i’d also want to say that Take to the sky was fresher and more powerful than usual.

All in all a very intense and great show. As Tori said, she really loves Berlin and was looking forward to come here all tour – you could hear that.

    2. Hamilton says:

“Thanks for the waitress”.. that’s what I yelled at Tori when she was coming out of the Tempodrom around 12:40am, giving me the thumbs-up while she was getting into her tour bus…

Me and my wife arrived at the M & G around 3:30 to find around 70 to 90 people waiting for her.. it was our first time and one for the history…. she could not sign autographs due to an accident (a door slammed into her hand in Norway), so only pictures were taken. This is when I asked for my request “ the waitress”.

We chatted about Mark, how I meet him previously in Paris among other things…

I was looking forward for this night because I have seen her in Paris/Amsterdam and was eager to see if my request would come true!!! This show for me was in the top! Opening with Cruel raised the level to sky high + Teenage Hustling was great!

Pip is my favorite, so for the second time (Amsterdam) she was Pip! I was worried about her performance due to her injured hand (she wore a wrist brace), but she was phenomenal. In the first encore we ran to the front and that’s when “history was made.” I couldn’t believe “waitress”!!!!!! I thought I was in some kind of dream!!!! My wife keep yelling, “It's your song! It's your song!!!!!!!”.... phenomenal, fantastic.. no other words "Thanks for the waitress," I was telling her at the end of the first encore!!! After Hey Jupiter people where going “nuts “ commenting on how this song (version) has not been performed in many years. I was in in “shock." Fantastic show!

I would like to mention some incidents that we have had in this tour so far regarding some of the Europeans fans, and don't get me wrong they are great!

These might be isolated incidents but still are surprising for me!!! For the Amsterdam show and Berlin I thought some of the crowd had sort of low energy or lame!!! Hey I am not expecting a “Party Atmosphere,” but it seems some people either where numb or under the influence of something. In Amsterdam, my wife keep being elbowed (pushed) by this Dutch fan twice her size. I mean “people please leave your attitude outside of the venue please!!!"

I really didn’t understand the point. standing audience and can not have people close to you … and last night it was probably the best!!! Next to my wife there was an empty seat and right after Pip left for the change, this lady came to my wife and ask us if we could “ turn it down." I am sorry but WHAT WAS WRONG WITH PEOPLE? We were having a great time singing and clapping in a normal concert way!!! So I just had to put her in her place and said if you have a problem there are some empty seats on the to back section, this is not an opera concert or classical music!!! It was just insane!!! I guess the lyrics for the waitress pay respect: “but i believe in peace B…”

    3. Dirk says:

The show was just amazing! The best ever, and I saw every single tour since Plugged 98. Tori was in the best mood and she played her soul out. It was the first time I heard “Siren” live and tears came to my eyes, the same for “A case of you”. I just couldn’t believe she was singing some of my all-time favourites all in one evening.

It began all with a wonderful, call it magic, M+G. Tori was very relaxed, took her time to chat and ignored advises to cut down from her staff. Amazing! She gave me her left hand and I couldn’t believe I held the hand that plays Bö so wonderfully! I wanted to tell her so many things but my brain was empty when she came out of the building. Instead I asked her about her hand, she said it was alright and we should not be worried. I had a picture taken with here and when I later saw that it did not work (one of those “I want to die”-moments!) I asked her if I could get another one and she agreed without hesitating. I just love her!

The show was, as I said, the best I’ve seen so far. And I was surrounded only by people who had fun, enjoyed the show and were completely fascinated by Tori’s talent, strength and sensibility.

To Hamilton: Please don’t judge “PEOPLE” just because you had negative encounters with 2, I spell TWO, persons out of thousands. That is far to easy and really a kind of black and white thinking. I think most people had a great time. As you said it, these are isolated incidents. So let’s take them for what they are.

    4. sara says:

first of all i gotta thank this lovely red headed woman who gave everything to make the show an unforgettable…

ì‘m still feeling this high energy…

      it was really a blast…

I think this was one of TORI’s best shows ever. It was a lot more rockier than the last two tours.
Especially by playing a setlist that included old and new songs. That made us listen to sweet little nice and sad tunes (...china) as well as heavy dark sounds (...cruel). jippie-jippieh-yeah!
I liked the way she did her show showing us ‘PIP’ in the beginning changing to ‘TORI’ afterwards to give us a ‘hurt hand’ improv in her solo part. Another quote about another song being part of the show:
I loved TORI singing her version of Joni Mitchell's ‘A case of You’. Again it showed me how brilliant she is in doing cover versions.

For me this show could have lasted forever…

It makes me a little sad to know that it will probably last two long years before she will come back to this ‘magical place where never anything goes wrong’ and ‘her hand even got better’...

P.s. – Maybe I’m too much of a TORI fan but wouldn’t it be awesome to have a LIVE version of this tour like the one she released after the ‘Scarlets Walk’ tour…Does anyone got the possibility to let her know she should put it on CD or DVD...It’s time for another Live record, right…;))

P.P.s- keep up filling this side with comments about the show..to share experiences will make it all a lot more special…

greetings to all and back i go into the world of TORI’s music

    5. Mike says:

Wow, that was the best Tori show I have ever been to! And I have been to a lot since 1992… :-)

When she played “A Case of You”, memories of Berkeley 1994 came up when I first heard this girl live. Also, there was a lot of reminiscence of the plugged 98 tour, the first time I saw Tori rock in a comparable way. However, back then the energy seemed to be sometimes based on pain and inner agony…

Which was totally ok, as I believe a performance always to some extent mirrors the inner themes and feelings of a person.. and to me it’s best when it’s authentic.

I was a little concerned if Tori would still have the energy and intensity she used to have (after a couple of shows which seemed somewhat less authentic and more “professional”, still very good though).

But now, I her energy flows freely and seems to be an expression of joy and lust of life! And this was just a blast! Tori was in an incredibly good mood and she played and sang her heart out this night. I can still feel the joy and lust of life that was reawakened within me last Sunday…

To me, Tori is better than ever!

I also thought the Berlin crowd was amazing and relaxed and I experienced what I personally would call a great party atmosphere. In Munich, for example, a couple of days before she played in the Philharmonie (concert hall for classical music), and people were much much more reserved, no one rushed the stage, and only a few people even got up during the encores… so, this is always a matter of perspective.
