    1. SilverCheek says:

Great show, loved that she played Merman. I wonder why she left “Flavor” and “Star of Wonder” out though.

The orchestra experience has two sides: On one hand it opens up the songs and exposes them in a new way. On the other hand, it does limit her a bit in the performance which shows clearly on songs like Precious and Jupiter.

Still, we love her, don’t we?

PS. Jupiter was sort of in the “Dakota” version, might wanna add that to the list.

I loved every second of it!!! She’s been AMAZING!

    3. Holly says:

I was talking to Tori in the meet about the anniversary of Matthew Shephards death (12th Oct) and she played it at the show in his memory, she didn’t mention this before the song but I thought people might like to know this was the reason Merman was played on this occasion. RIP Matthew.

    4. Maciej says:

Wow, what a brilliant show it was. At first I didn’t expect that Jules Buckley will be conducting. And it was a nice surprise when he walked on stage. I loved how he controlled everyone during the show and it looked like he enjoyed working with all the musicians from Polish Radio Orchestra. As for the Polish musicians, they were perfect and professional. I’m proud of them!

As always, the show opener – Flying Dutchman – was powerful. It was the first time I had a chance to hear it live and it is one of my favourites of Tori. Then Silent All These Years and Gold Dust were so perfectly played. I realized it actually happens rarely on Tori shows, but these 2 sounded for me so much like the original record versions and it brought so many memories and emotions for me. Also highlights for me were Leather, Edge of the Moon, Snow Cherries From France and Our New Year. After ‘Leather’ Tori did a cute improv about how she’s having too much fun with her new Polish friends. Also, in a way traditional for Poland, was her saying that she knows where she is right now. This time, just like in 2007, she sang that during her improv (the one before Merman).

Even though this year I didn’t have a chance to meet her (M&G was cut in the middle because Tori had a tight schedule and there was just too many people there) the show itself was… <well, you can put an adjective here that you think is positive enough – I’ve run out>
