The first part was absolutely amazing with Virginia (one of my favs, but solo even more impressing than with band); DMMCtV was very unexpected and a mindblowingly strong performance. She sorta joked about being nervous about playing Digital Ghost (requested), but IMO she nailed it!

I’m not really into YKTR, but having heard her do Fire on the Side will seriously make me give it another listen; it was forceful and really impressive! It was preceded by Cooling and followed by Sugar, which seemed to make perfect sense, at least musically :)

She commented that she hadn’t played Silver Springs for 15 years and that it was its birthday. Love is a Battlefield was the only one noone has to regret having missed, the first part was ok, but halfway through she just didn’t seem to be able to make it work, but that’s just my opinion.

Wild Way and 16 Shades were both gorgeous, although I did find the latter a bit weird as a closer. She ran off the stage afterwards and everyone was expecting her to come back, except she didn’t and the switching on of the lights brought us back to reality :( I’m not sure but maybe the set was a bit more intense for her as well with these girls.

The performance was full of energy almost angered through part of it but definitely passionate. Tori seemed to go back and forth with many emotions. I liked Concertina a lot. Don’t Make Me Come to Vegas was raw and edgy. It’s as if Tori was either not happy about something or angry with someone. Rotterdam is Kick Ass !

Well guys.. where to begin! it was amazing!!!!! absolutely fabulous! She was on fire. She told us that we were in for a lot of surprises and that we should “stick with her to the very end” :) She had the wrong glasses on and she made a lil impove about saying “fuck” and that Putin wouldnt like it! she nailed the songs! Concertina, Cooling, Sugar (every highnote spot on, it went on and on), Digital Ghost, Slekie, Wild Way, Virginia.. MAN highlight after highlight…
The best part of the night was most definetly “fire on the side” I havent heard the song in ten years. I used to play it over and over and over again back in 2000/2001. I was someones fire on the side… the moment she sang: “purple sunset, orange moon” I was transported back to those days and I have to admit I cried the entire song…

Cornflake girl wasnt the encore but the last song of the main set. If I have any critisism (If I have to ;-) It would be the backing track on both CG and 16 shades… it feels like you’re listening to the cd and however gorgeous it is… her pianoplaying en life vocals are kinda drawn out.

Funny tho: during CG the security tried to tell the people running forward to go back. Tori was playing and saying: “its alright, babe” “they’re allright” because the backing track was playing she couldnt really do anything more, but it was cute
(anyone remember the enourmous fall out with a lot of F*cks in Groningen back in 2008!)

      hugs to all!
And seeing you again thursday! AMSTERDAM!

The show was amazing! Concertina and Virginia were gorgeous, I loved them. She started Don’t make me come to Vegas and than stopped saying “fuck, fuck I’ve got the wrong glasses!” So she put on the right one’s and started over again first with a little improv that went something like “Mr. Putin what if I forget my glasses and say fuck in June?”.
She also said she was nervous to play Digital Ghost as she hadn’t in a long time. I thought it was perfect though. I really loved this show she had so much energy and her voice is perfect! It’s better than last tours imo. She has such an energy on stage, it’s raw and very emotional.
I can’t wait for this Thursday, I’m super excited!

    5. Marianne says:

Such a wonderful experience to relive the concert through the videos. It was truly an amazing show, the best show of Tori I’ve seen so far. I love the pureness of Tori and her Bö. The energy in Rotterdam was very special, very different from a couple of days later in Amsterdam. In Rotterdam, Tori seemed very intense and the songs she played truly reflect that.

I must admit I don’t like the songs with backing track, it doesn’t work for me.

But other than that, perfect show, wonderful Tori <3
