    1. T - Finland says:

As PIP entered the stage, I was amazed! I hoped for PIP or CLYDE and I got “both” since Tori played also Clyde songs. For me the show was perfect. I hoped for DollPosse, and I got it. Parasol would have been great also.

But then..the negative part. After the last song, people started to shout for encore. They shouted for 15 minutes, even when the crew was already taking the piano out the stage and the lights were on, people shouted for more! WHY DID NOT TORI RETURN? It would have been enough even to come back to stage and say “Thank you!”

Lots of people left the tent happy, but somewhat disappointed…The great show was somewhat “ruined” because of no encore…IMHO.

    2. pristie says:

I wasn’t that unhappy about Tori not returning for an encore because I saw it coming and I was prepared for it. That’s the way it works at festivals because the schedule is so tight.

I saw Tori twice during the Beekeeper tour but this gig really blew me away! The crowd was really intense and eager to see Tori because she has never been to Finland before! All the diehard fans were there.

I loved the fact that she toured with the band and played so loud and didn’t do solos with the piano. It was a true rock show! I was really happy about hearing Cruel, God and Precious Things – what a treat! The new songs worked well, too!

I really don’t have anything negative to say about the gig. I’m just truly amazed of and impressed by Tori’s ability to change and make interesting music and different kinds of shows.

    3. Saar says:

There are NEVER encores at a festival. That’s how things go. :o)

    4. Em says:

Statistically speaking I was expecting Clyde to appear, but was overjoyed we got Pip! Her dark energy suited the big tent very well, and her opening with Cruel was just a great touch. She sang it standing like she’s done before on this tour and only went to the piano about mid-way through the song.

I was glad to hear Pancake as the rest of the set list was predictable. Not that I’m complaining! :o) Tori wasn’t very talkative, but sounded quite cheerful and kind when she introduced Matt and Jon.

      Lovely show, it was!

    5. K says:

It was fantastic when Tori started with Cruel. She sounded and looked amazing and the set was pretty fine considering the time limit and all.

Absolutely brilliant. Isn’t she the sexiest woman on Earth?

    6. Encore says:

Well most of the other bands I saw played encores, except Velvet Revolver. My personal opinion is that ths show was awesome, but no encore kind of made a disappointment to the end. I was waiting also for another “encore” and I mean like a theater encore. Band returning the stage and (can't remember the word) bow? to the audience [Ed. — curtain call] and then leaving. Overall great show.

    7. Lunatic Express says:

Wow this show WAS great! And for those who have followed the past concerts’ set lists, it was predictable indeed that she’s not coming for encores. In fact, Precious Things was an encore, they just didn’t go away between the songs. But even in the usual concerts, Tori and her band don’t wait for big applauds to come back – they do it every time for four more songs and they come back almost as soon as they’re gone. So the whole encore thing is not about the audience’s reaction, it’s just a part of the show. So there’s no use to scream and shout her back! :)

Cruel was an AWESOME opener!! I was in Tori-heaven and so was everyone else around me. We were screaming and jumping around and overwhelmed with excitement! Pip is such a perfect character for many Tori songs. I think this whole role-play thing allows Tori to show some different energies and this Pip set was really rocky, hot and sexy at the same time! Dark energy. But that doesn’t mean bad energy, we all should know that by now! :D

And in my opinion, that was a VERY good first-time experience for the land of the midnight sun (as she refers to Finland)!

    8. Meeria says:

It was absolutely worth waiting for 15 years. The show was amazing and Tori really rocked my world. Even my heavy metal kind of husband said that she was more than cool.

    9. Anna says:

The show was amazing, I don’t even have words to describe the feeling of being there in the front, looking at Tori singing, playing and just being Tori. :D It was well worth the wait, Tori-heaven indeed.. the atmosphere was great too, being surrounded by fellow fans. :)

I was expecting the no-encore thing since that happens a lot at festivals, but I was still disappointed. She just came and went! (Though you can always say that, because there’s no amount of Tori live that’s “enough”..) A girl standing in front of me looked at me like she wanted me to explain WHY ISN’T TORI COMING BACK? She looked like she was going to cry (not that I wasn’t about to..). I just looked at her back and said “She’s not coming back, is she?” And felt crushed looking at the empty stage.. I was sad for about 1,5 minutes. Then I was high on Tori for the rest of the day (and weekend).. :o)

So I don’t really agree with the opinion of it ruining the show. What could possibly ruin the show?

I miss you Tori, come back!
