Although Tori had announced in an interview with a Greek magazine that she would come out as Clyde, she decided to do Pip in Athens, and she rocked, as ever. I felt so lucky to see her perform Cruel and The Waitress again!
The atmosphere at the festival was great. It seems there were quite a few Toriphiles around, and many people were dancing and singing (in a good way-it fit the festival atmosphere). Tori got lots of applause and in the end there were many “Tori, Tori” shouts. (The Bosey had got applause as well at the beginning!)
Pip was very sexy! She wore black latex leggings and a yellow top, which reminded me of a bee (the name of the festival was Fly Beeyond, so it was quite appropriate!) When she first came on stage, she knelt on the piano stool with her backside turned towards us and slapped her backside! She also did quite a few sexy moves during her performance. When Pip went offstage, she gave us the finger!
Tori seemed to be very happy and during the talk she said that she had promised for so long to play there, and that she’d finally made it. She was smiling a lot and enjoying the atmosphere I think. People really went along with the songs, especially during Bliss, Cornflake Girl and Big Wheel (we clapped the countdown and sung the “don’t you forget” bit, as requested by Tori).
All in all, it was a high-energy show with Cruel, Bliss and The Waitress as my highlights. I hope Tori comes to Greece again in the near future!
