Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
Back on Thursday, TomCruel was the first to let us know that the word was Taylor Swift had played “a sorta fairytale” during her concert the night before at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. Before too long, a YouTube of the performance appeared and, since then, a few others have popped up as well.
Turns out she sang a portion of the song while accompanying herself on acoustic guitar during a part of the concert where she plays a few songs by musicians and bands from the area of that night’s stop on the tour. So, while on the short side, she does it justice and we wouldn’t mind hearing the whole thing!
Check it out below — she plays it right after Lisa Leob’s “Stay”.
Thanks to hemisphere for the video link!
Map the Music, a documentary created by Samantha Hale that celebrates the community-building and healing powers of live music and features Tori, among other artists, is close to selling out of its first pressing!
In honor of this, Sam has posted a new clip featuring footage from Tori’s performance with the Metropole Orchestra last month interleaved with comments from many of the fans in attendance talking about what Tori, her performances and live music in general mean to them.
Check out the video below and, if you like what you see, pick up a copy of the DVD from Insound. If they sell out, they may just have to make more!
Thanks to Chris for the tip!
Friends of the site and Internet darlings, the PS22 Chorus got into the Halloween spirit by covering Tori’s “Hungarian Wedding Song!” The costumed chorus’ performance, which includes some nifty pantomime from two of their members, was posted on YouTube and their blog a few days before Halloween, so this is a bit of a belated boo…but still cute!
Thanks to @kirkland24 for catching this and letting us know!
This past weekend, A&E rebroadcast the episode of Private Sessions featuring Daughtry which included a segment in which the band reacts to a question Tori puts to them about the favorite places and haunts they have found while out on the road. In response, the band spends a fair amount of time discussing Tori’s influence on them and, eventually, gets around to addressing the query she put forth.
You can catch the snippet in this YouTube clip; Tori’s question starts around the 4 minute mark.
The episode originally aired on July 19, 2009 — while Daughtry was touring around the same time that Tori was out on the Sinful Attraction Tour.
Don’t to be outdone by the Aussies, the Polish version of So You Think You Can Dance? has also featured a dance performed to Tori’s music. This time, competitors Leal & Bartek dance a modern piece choreographed to Tori’s version of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” The segment that features the performance can be watched on YouTube — it starts at the 1:30 minutes mark:
Thanks to Jarek for the notice!
At the request of a fortunate fan who won a charity auction benefiting Concern Worldwide, Imogen Heap performed “Cornflake Girl” at a concert in Melbourne, Australia last Thursday, March 25th. As those who are familiar with Imogen’s music might guess, it’s a unique interpretation of one of Tori’s signature songs, but like it or not, it was for a good cause and is worth checking out:
Thanks to limbonite, Imagaro and everyone else who let us know about this!
SPIN Magazine has posted video of the secret show Tori played at their offices back in December. The short set featured “Ophelia,” “Wednesday,” “A Silent Night With You, “ “Star of Wonder”, “Pink and Glitter” and “Snow Angel.” All songs but the last are available for your streaming pleasure! Enjoy!
During the frenzy of Midwinter Graces promo in December, Tori also swung by the offices of Spinner and chatted with Jessica Robertson about Midwinter Graces. The resulting two-part video interview was posted on Spinner on Christmas Even afternoon. In addition to the seasonal collection, Tori also addresses the rebirth of Lilith Fair (which Spinner reported on earlier last month), family and holiday memories and traditions.
Thanks to Armen for the tip! Jump the cut to check out the clips!
Literally minutes after we signed off for Christmas and New Year’s, Parker linked us to this interview from TV Guide where, between live clips of “Lady in Blue,” they chat with Tori about Midwinter Graces. Thanks to her for the tip!
TV Guide kindly placed the video on YouTube as well for easy-peasy embedification:
