Tonight’s show was riveting. Clyde dazzled with the usual set. I loved the intro to Little Amsterdam. Tori’s set was pretty emotional. There was a lot of Pele and it was wonderful. Father Lucifer, Marianne, Twinkle… loved it. The Beekeeper and Liquid Diamonds were beautiful as well. I was STOKED to hear Taxi Ride.
I’m definitely buying the show! The improvs were killer.

Last night’s show was really lovely and seemed centered around the fact that her parents were in audience. Upside Down with the band was very nice and Little Amsterdam was preceded by a short intro, repeating “Mama, it wasn’t mine…” Clyde had on a really fragile-looking lace, semi-transparent gray-ish? dress with what looked like a black top and black tights underneath, and the effect seemed to set off her understated personality. I thought Father Lucifer started off strange, and it almost sounded like Matt was playing a different song since the drum beat didn’t seem to flow with the tempo of the song (although I was listening to one of the Legs & Boots shows on the drive home, and I guess that’s how it’s supposed to be?). I got a quick glimpse of the printed setlist and Honey and Liquid Diamonds were definitely reversed in order and I thought they were supposed to come after Big Wheel, but I’m not positive. At any rate, she paused before going into Liquid Diamonds and said quietly, “is it alright?” – I think in reference to the backing music for Liquid Diamonds not starting. At that point she went into the “you’re a diamond” improv which was nice, then there was a pause as Matt and Tori looked to the backstage soundboard area, and then the backing loop for Liquid Diamonds started up (which, despite the Diamond improv, was a pleasant surprise for me since I thought it sounded like Concertina). Towards the end of Liquid Diamonds, I saw her mouth the name of the next song to Matt and Jon and then Honey was next. The Pass the Chicken improv was really cute and funny, started off by saying her parents were coming over for dinner tomorrow night. Marianne was especially lovely and sharp, and the “shining star” improv next was very touching, I assumed it was about Michael: (something like) “tell my mother / I’m with you / I’m a shining star”. Twinkle was very nice and I was particularly excited to hear Beekeeper with the band, since I love the electronic drums of the album version. I was also happy to hear Taxi Ride. I was hoping for two songs per encore since she had an extra half hour (the tickets said 7pm show time, but Yoav came on around 7:30 and Tori came on around 8:30) – but alas… all in all though, I thought it was a really nice show. Not as vibrant as Ft. Myers, but still quite nice and enjoyable.

I could tell from the beginning this was a show for her Mom (which made it seem like it was for me as probably the 2nd oldest Mom there!) Then she pointed her parents out and began an awfully cute improv of “Mama’s Makin’ Chicken”. A sweet and playful Tori!
I have always felt my favorite concert was the first one I attended during the SLG tour after 9/11 in Orlando (where her parents were also attending), but now this has surpassed that night. So much fun but also extremely emotional especially by the time she brought out The Beekeeper.
We knew it would be special when she brought Little Earthquakes so early in the setlist. The improvs before Liquid Diamonds and Twinkle were beautiful and had the audience mesmerized. Thankfully, after being at the Hard Rock Live performance two nights before with all the obnoxious drunks, this evening we had perfect sound, the stage lighting was flawless and the audience very well behaved.
I have already downloaded the bootleg and will be able to relive every moment. Another amazing journey with Tori!!

The highlights of the night were “Juarez”, “The Beekeeper”, “Marianne”, “Twinkle”, and “Code Red”. Tori was so passionate. :D

I attended the general meet and greet and meet some amazing people. You know who you are and I promise I will send out the pictures to you all. Tori was amazing and I requested Taxi Ride which as you can tell was played so I was extremely excited.
I have been to many shows and I would have to say this is my favorite. I was hoping for Clyde as she is my favorite doll. I love the ballads so this was a perfect night for me. It was a very emotional show. A lot of songs about death/loss of someone, i.e. Marianne, Beekeeper, Taxi Ride, etc. She was very engaged with the audience and gave us some great smiles and love during the show.
Tori’s parents were 2 rows right behind me. They were so cute.
Tori, I want to thank you so much for playing Taxi Ride for me.

Tonight’s show was very classy. Not that Hard Rock wasn’t, but let’s face it… it’s a cave. I think her choice of dolls is really perfect for each venue. Can’t wait to see which one shows up tomorrow.
The show was Pele-heavy as someone stated before… Father Lucifer, Marianne, Twinkle, Little Amsterdam, and of course Hey Jupiter. I brought my Pele LP for her to sign before the show and told her that any song from it would be much appreciated. I’d like to think she remembered this.
She had tons of energy and really seemed light during even the darker moments. I guess she carried a little of Clyde with her throughout the rest of the show. :)

Last night’s show was so beautiful and the songs flowed so well. She played some of my favorites, Honey, Liquid Diamonds, Tear in Your Hand. Her improvs were so precious.
I had VIP Platinum tickets, and arrived at the venue at 4:15pm. Tori was still in the middle of the meet and greet outside, so I went up and took some pictures, but didn’t want to take up time talking to her since I knew I would see her inside. We were able to watch two songs during the sound check, which were Horses and Tear in Your Hand. When I met her, I told her that my husband and I were adopting a baby girl from China, and requested Ribbons Undone for tomorrow’s show since my husband will be there with me. She wrote it on her hand and told me she has a friend who adopted from China as well, and she knows what a long process it is. She was so sweet and sincere. I was amazed that I got up the nerve to talk to her since I just froze at 2 other M&G over the years.
I was in the third row, and the audience around me was very well behaved and respectful. I met a couple of people from Jax, and Dana from Orlando. Hi Dana! You Tori fans are so sweet.
I thought that in the beginning of The Beekeeper, the sound was off, and I even saw Matt shake his head a little bit. It seemed to even out though, and it was absolutely beautiful and touching. She blew me away with Precious Things, 2 hrs into the show, and still so strong and full of energy. Her voice is just flawless. I loved how the boys jammed during Professional Widow.
Looking so forward to Clearwater tomorrow! Thank you Tori!!!

What a wonderful show! Definitely one of the best Tori shows I’ve ever seen. The emotions were so raw, the sound was amazing, and the crowd was perfect. I requested Honey, and she played it. I was so excited, and it was a beautiful performance. It was really fun meeting all of you folks at the Meet & Greet.

The show was awesome. The improvs were by far the best part. The “shining down” one was bawl-inducing. She was very present. Loved the show.
