Bart (Mitholas) says:
My third Tori show, first solo. It was really great, I really enjoyed it. Especially the last part of the show. She did no less than 4 covers (whole or partially), as Take to the Sky also incorporated “I Feel The Earth Move”. The Power Of Orange Knickers was kind of a nice surprise. I’ve always sort of liked it, and thought it was a good performance.
Body and Soul/Personal Jesus was really great. It sounded a lot like the Body and Soul version she did at Dranouter 2 years ago, so I recognised it immediately. She incorporated it with Personal Jesus wonderfully, in my opinion.
She performed Lovesong (in Belgium again… just as she did in 2009) and it was brilliant (again). She then went straight into Hey Jupiter (the Dakota Version). Or at least she tried (she fucked up the first line, so she had to start it again). I thought the two sounded really well together.
The only negative point I have to say about the show, really, was the keyboard. I really wish she’d go back to the 1998-99 keyboards. They sounded great, the new one sounds cheesy and just doesn’t do the songs any favors. Apart from that, great show. Was really glad I went.
Oh and on a side note: I thought that her singing the “I’ve put on my silver” part on Bouncing Off Clouds really broke the rhythm of the song, so I’m not really a fan of that. Other than that it was good.

It was really powerful. My seventh Tori show and I was expecting a lot. I wasn’t disappointed at all!!! Her voice was really there and strong

Just got back home and before going to work decided to drop a few lines.
Second everything been said about the concert – it was AMAZING. Tori was in top shape, singing in low register and playing in low keys, except for Icicle and Bouncing, which was rather horrible a show starter. All Tori fans got rather close to the stage, screaming and applauding and Tori liked it a lot – she was smiling all the time.
Highlights for me were PJ/Body and Soul – she literally ripped the crowd to pieces, and then TPOOK – perhaps the best version ever done yet
And this Gran Finale with indescribably intense Hey Jupiter /Dakota/ played almost in full on organ synth, it brought everyone to tears. And then fierce and angry version of TTTS / I feel the mother ocean move – that was great and a wonderful uplift closer to the show.
Still some disadvantages
- BoC as a starter… Wining and high, and oupfff
- no encores((( She quickly ran off the stage and they started pushing Bosey back off the stage to leave place for MILF Macy Gray backsingers
- an EWF kicked out of the front row by the guards, we all felt sorry for her!
- setlist composed of Bonnaroo and Montreux and STILL Cooling … I hope she will diversify her setlists and get rid of Concertina obsession.
So it was my second ever show, first solo show, tomorrow i go to Milano and on next Monday – Paris.
Cheerio!

Great show indeed in Bruges ! It was a pity though, that some spectators (??) were more interested in the standings of the Football World Cup - they were checking their iPhones every now and then and commenting about it loudly.

Magical, strong and strange. It recalled 2001.
