Stunning show. Tori looked and sounded the best I have seen her for a long, long time. The rain held off and the beautiful gardens were the icing on this must-see show.
Mike says:
This was an amazing concert in a perfect sized venue and setting. Awesome
Ursula says:
First time I saw her and hopefully not the last… Was really sorry to have missed the M&G I couldn’t find the venue! Maybe next time I’ll get to make a request. Amazing show!
Katy says:
This concert was amazing; the atmosphere was incredible and the fact that she played Beauty Queen/Horses, Lovesong and Mother made my night! After seeing her 4 times now, I finally got to meet her and hugged her too! :D Incredible, she was amazing as usual. It was so nice to hear the crowd singing along to her songs. :D

Brilliant concert. I have seen Tori many times and this was the best since Glasgow 1994. Tori at her best, solo. The sound and setting were perfect, like Tori of old. Many of the comments from others at the end concurred with what I thought. My sister wanted her to play for another 2 hours- incredible gig

I must admit I was really excited before this show. It was my first general admission Tori Amos show, and… wow, I was totally blown away. The venue was truly beautiful, the support act (Our Little Secrets) were better than expected but, we can’t deny it, we were there for Tori!
And there she was. When I saw her spreading and getting ready to play both the Bösendorfer and the Yamaha, I gasped in anticipation. A very strong rendition of ‘Bouncing off clouds’ opened the show, and from that moment, I knew we all were in for a treat.
Then, I cannot believe the amazing singalong moment during ‘Silent All These Years’. The song took a very different meaning and vibe (very very different to the London rendition a couple days after). She had definitely won the audience.
And, combining old faves (‘Siren’, ‘Crucify’, ‘Precious Things’…) with some interesting choices (‘Fire to your Plain’, ‘Ophelia’ preceded by a heartbreaking improv, ‘Taxi Ride’…) she showed what the girl with a piano (and keyboards) can do.
Also, my impression is that she doesn’t need the band anymore to support her. Either slapping the piano (‘Take to the sky’), stomping with her high heels (‘Beauty of Speed’), helped by the audience’s clapping (‘Personal Jesus’) or even snapping her fingers (‘Beauty Queen’), her sense of rhythm is awesome!
And, just a suggestion before I finish my review. She should keep on doing general admission shows. The energy is incredible, people get more into the performance, we are able to dance and clap without disturbing anyone, and she is visibly happier, and gets all that feedback :)
This is definitely my favourite Tori Amos show EVER!
