There was no live coverage of this show on Twitter. This was the most challenging setlist we’ve ever had to piece together. So far we’ve not been able to find anyone who actually wrote the songs down, so this is compiled entirely based on the memories of three fans who were at the show (@DickerDackel, @hahahouser, and a third person whose recollections were relayed to us by Tammi). Thanks to Rabih for clarification on which songs were solo.

It was utterly brilliant and fantastic. I was astonished at how energetic the string quartet was, they sometimes seemed to be more driven by the music than the woman in the piano (who wore a greenish dress, to get the most important issues out of the way).

But that woman was all smiles on this night, and thankfully she hasn’t rediscovered the autopilot button she seemed to have switched on here and there some years ago. The absence of warbling keyboard sounds was delightful as well.

SATY was a revelation after, em, all these years, she messed up the beginning of Cruel when she forgot to activate the drum pattern but really nothing could tarnish this splendid evening.

I had the impression the string players were surprised by PGY, and also Graveyard seemed to come somewhat unexpected, but they just smiled along and remained silent. The solo songs I think were: Graveyard, SATY, Here. In My Head, A Case Of You, Bells For Her (which was one of many highlights), PGY. I don’t remember any improv after Scarborough Fair, it worked more as an intro to Nautical Twilight.

If anything needs to be singled out it was of course Seven Sisters, two musicians on the top of their game, marvelous three minutes of fun and warmth and wonderful melody that just went by too fast. It seems as if the singer has found a nice haven with this format of piano and strings and I wish she stays there for quite a while.

The show was stunning. My fifth time seeing Tori and it was definitely one of the best. I’ve got a new love for Suede, which just sounded so dark and rich and dramatic with the quartet. Cruel is also another reinvention that sounds amazing with the strings. (A good moment at the beginning of the song when she was looking towards the quartet to start for about 30 seconds before laughing and saying “F**k. I start this one.”) Another highlight was Shattering Sea, which was such a great opener for the show, with Big Wheel being the perfect closer… and of course we got to Seven Sisters with Andreas which got the entire room screaming, especially when she said this would be the first and last time this was going to happen.

Bells For Her was played with keyboards and piano and was very ambient and delicate and it was so good to hear Tori sing A Case Of You, which is one of my favourite covers from her!

The arrangements are so tight and dynamic on this tour and I would love to see how she would reinvent some of her other tracks. Also, her vocals were spot on! AWESOME show!!!
