Like last Monday in Rotterdam, Tori’s vocals were soaring and amazing. And a great setlist, wonderful to hear Strange, a personal favorite, live once more. And this version of Purple People…. Gorgeous! The Madonna cover was a treat as well! This show was among my favorites of the past 20 years of Tori-shows for me

Wow, you are quick with adding the videos I uploaded :-) [We don't mess around! Thank you very much for filming and uploading them!]
It was a very nice show, with my personal favorite Winter and a great cover of Frozen.

I have a feeling this is going to be long and English is not my first language, but please stay with me.
I started preparing for tonight’s show before I knew is was going to happen, before I ever heard of Unrepentant Geraldines. I started preparing right after I saw the Gold Dust Tour in Rotterdam in 2012. After that show I really felt the need to sort out all my Tori music to make sure I had all the songs from her catalogue. After that I spent some time with every song. I wanted to understand every story she was telling. I wanted to feel the music. I knew almost all her songs, but I really wanted to dive into them. This project was finished with the release of Unrepentant Geraldines and tonight’s show.
The show was amazing. I had never been in the Concertgebouw which is strange because I see it everyday when I go to work. It’s such a beautiful building and I’m so glad I finally got to see what it looks like from the inside. The stage is really high so it felt like Tori was sitting on a throne or something. Hard to desribe, but it looked lovely. And the acoustics… wow!!
1. Parasol (personal debut)
When I found out she was starting this tour with Parasol I was really glad, because it meant I finally got to hear a song from The Beekeeper live. I have a strange relationship with that record, because I didn’t like it at all when it came out (except for some songs), but during my project it started to grow on me and now I love it and the way she performed Parasol was very nice.
2. Blood Roses (personal debut)
WOW!!! Such a good song and her performance was so powerful. She slapped the piano really hard which sounded great. The crowd went complete bonkers after the show and Tori sang an improv about that she really felt home.
3. Putting the Damage On (personal debut)
One of my favourites from Pele. I was so in the moment with this song. So good!
4. Taxi Ride (personal debut)
She ended this song with some different lyrics about going to Moscow and St. Petersburg and that it was a long way from Amsterdam. It felt so fitting to this song and everything that is going on in Russia right now about gay rights.
5. Oysters (personal debut)
The first song from UG. Beautiful track and performance.
6. Purple People
Tori played about two seconds and then started to laught, because it made her thing of something. She told a story about contest and a lady with a beard. Not the lady who won the Eurovision Song Contest (Tash really like her she said), but another lady with a beard. It was about a contest in church when she was a child and a beautiful, cute girl performed really bad, but because she was so cute everone loved her and Tori wanted to do the same song, because she wanted to be like her. Her mother wanted to play her something from Oklahoma, but she didn’t listen to her. It was really funny. This was the third time I heard Purple People live, but I really don’t mind. I love it.
7. Winter
This is such a crowd pleeser and it was the fifth time I heard it live. Really don’t mind.
8. Frozen (Madonna)
Oh my god, I had a big smile on my face the whole song. I’m also a huge Madonna fan and to hear Tori sing one of her songs was amazing. And Frozen was such a good choice, because people who don’t like Madonna still like Frozen. And with the references to snow in Purple People and Winter, Frozen was a really nicee follow up.
9. Vincent (Don McLean)
She sang this song in 2009 too and I didn’t know it then, but I really liked it. It made so much sense to sing it tonight again, because of course it’s about Vincent van Gogh and the Van Gogh Museum is on the same square as the Concertgebouw.
10. Weatherman (personal debut)
One of my favourites from UG and a really nice follow up to Vincent.
11. Little Amsterdam
Highlight of the evening. Such a powerful performance. Again with the hard piano slapping. It was so good!!!!
12. Little Earthquakes
Another powerful performance.
13. iieee (personal debut)
Choirgirl is my favourite album and I love every song on it. So I was very glad to hear another one live. This was the only song she play on the organ.
14. Cornflake Girl
Good, fun perfomance. Lot of people walked to the front which took me out of my concentration, but was I heard was nice!
15. Mountain (personal debut)
Not my favourite song. Maybe I need some more quality time with it.
16. Twinkle
I love Twinkle and it was the fourth song she did from Pele tonight. Didn’t mind that at all.
17. Wedding Day (personal debut)
Onother favourite from UG. It makes me think of Game of Thrones for some reason.
18. Strange (personal debut)
Perfect song to close with. “But now I must be leaving…”
