Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.

This was a special and emotional show for me, as it was just over 20 years since I first saw Tori live in Rome, the city I live in. Tori was in top form, wonderful playing and great voice. I think she just gets better and better! When she said hello she said they had spent a couple of wonderful days in Rome, “much needed, so thank you” and she said she hoped all the requests would get played, to have faith til the very end (I’m assuming Tear in your hand was a request). Before Ribbons she said that morning Tash had left, it had been a bit sad, “so this is for her”. Highlights for me were Icicle, Carbon, Father Lucifer and Invisible Boy, but I thought the setlist was great.

First let me say that I didn’t make it on time for the M&G …
Anyway, some pious soul “forgot” a door open while Tori was rehearsing so we could hear part of it. The songs I recognized were “Ophelia”, “Past the mission”, “Carbon”, “Roosterspur bridge” and “Cornflake girl”… 4 out 5 – as you already know – ended up in the setlist.
Tori seemed to be in an excellent mood and willing to fill the show with as many songs as possible: there hasn’t been much talking and no improvisations or so. She was focused and very into the show…. and we felt it immediately… The playing and the singing sounded excellent.
The atmosphere was incredible, emotional, intense.
My friend was amazed (she had been with me to the NoH concert in Rome) at the vocal parts: being a free-time musician with an academic musical education and was really appreciating every little bit.
In the end I just felt that Tori really is “reassuring”: meaning that I have never been disappointed by her and that I have always felt that her quality standards have always been at least constant yet starting from a very high level.
