Tour Status

Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.

A brief synopsis of the St. Paul show:

Great set list. Tori seemed to go for a good mix of the standards/hits and the rarities and b-sides. Only one song from Geraldines, but it was the highlight of the show for me. The piano part in Forest of Glass seemed to roll out over the auditorium in beautiful waves of sound; it was gorgeous. And then to follow that up with Toast AND Real Men – Tori, if you wanted to make me weep like a baby, congrats. By the end of the surprisingly sensitive version of Little Red Corvette, which was slowed down and softened up a great deal, I was in cathartic heaven.

Little Amsterdam picked the show back up though – Tori was rockin’ it. And then she brought out the organ, and I’m thinking “I hope she plays The Beekeeper… but it’ll probably be something else.” AND SHE PLAYED IT. More tears, obviously.

There were a couple of really adorable moments during the encore, too. Near the end of Raspberry Swirl Tori held up a finger as if to say “Wait for it…” and then, a few moments later, transitioned straight into Raspberry Beret! Clever, adorable, Tori at her best.

The finale was perfect. Tori was playing Pretty Good Year when she forgot the words, stopped playing, and loudly exclaimed a certain f-word. The whole audiance roared with laughter, and then – this is the magic moment – when she picked back up, the whole auditorium was singing with her. Tori, we know you love us – but I’m glad you got to experience, for that brief moment, that we love and support you as well. We got your back, girl.
