This was my first Tori show. And I can’t still believe how amazing it was!

First of all, I’d love to say that she was very very sweet at M&G. She was not in a hurry at all and took her time to talk to everyone.

She did open the show with Pip and she was so sexy. She was enjoing herself and the show a lot, I can say. I’ve seen it in her face. She was all in.

It’s too difficult to pick some highlights of this show but I was deeply touched by the improv and Silent All These Years although it was never one of my favourite songs but all those feelings she did put in it… It was quite ovewhelming. The song that impressed me the most was Code Red. She did such a great job with her voice on it that I was in awe. Another highlight for me would be Merman. I didn’t expect to hear it but she did it ‘cause it was requested by someone at M&G. It was very nice of her that she did it.

I’m not even able to find the right words how to describe how incredible was this evening for me. I was very lucky to sit in the first row and had the pleasure to enjoy it in an absolutely amazing way.

My huge ‘Thank you’ goes to Tori & all the lovely people around her!

WOW! What an amazing show tonight from Pip. It seems like Tori is really loving Pip and Santa which is perfectly fine with me. Those two girls give the best energy for the kick off to a show, I couldn’t imagine seeing the show with either of the others.

Cruel was a highlight for me! AMAZING, I was shaking the entire time and the girls next to me were just looking back and forth at me with amazement also. I don’t care for Teenage Hustling as much but it kicked butt live. I wish I could have seen Fat Slut! She premiered Heart of Gold tonight which dropped me on the floor! I surprising enjoyed most of the Strange Little Girl album and was happy to see something off of it tonight… very happy to see nothing off of the Beekeeper. Just waiting for the day I can see Fire On The Side.

Other highlights for were Bliss, Merman, Code Red, Bouncing, and THE WAITRESS (long like Plugged).

My one fuss which almost EVERYONE I have talked to has agreed with has said is, change the ‘Tori’ outfit. It looks awful and doesn’t even fit.!!!!!!!! It was sooo distracting to all of us. No offense Karen and Tori, but it looks like a sparkly car cover. Please find something beautiful to fit the music for such an amazing show!

    3. Marrenka says:

I just want to say Tori is always an Energy drink walking advertisement but in Prague she seemed so happy and loaded I wish I knew her morning and afternoon :) And then the audience was even more happy than “just” extraordinarily happy…

She had her feeling on as a high voltage hitting the exact 1 mm2 of the wire and I was shivering as if I had an influenza and crying in unstoppable manner during Siren and Merman and it was by means of pure luck.

Also “hard” songs had such a caliber, I was struck by introductory Cruel, by appearance of Heart of Gold and I’m out of capability to describe all sensations linking all songs.

But for the last paragraph I’d like to send such a warm THANK YOU to Tori because me and my friends were really sad we missed meet & greet, I felt as a kind of loser cause we didn’t know it might have been done before the show and though I was on the spot since 6 pm I missed everything… We were standing behind the hall for long just in the case but we didn’t believe anything much, maybe more for it was very pleasant atmosphere we met several kind people there and we shared and shared…

And Tori actually appeared on her way to the bus and though she looked tired and had plenty of reasons to be she came to us and signed and smiled. She drew her signature and smiley on my friends’ forearm :) and we actually talked.. until our teeny group finally wished her beautiful night and let her walk off to her wheely bedroom. Thank you, goodnight Tori, wherever your wheels rove.

This was the best Tori concert I have ever seen (8 so far).

      Some of the reasons why:

      1. The setlist was a dream. I mean: true cream of the crop of her catalogue performance-wise.
      2. The audience was so respectful when she played, NOONE spoke even during the hard numbers, and during the quiet ones you could hear a pin drop on the piano keys…. She totally captured the audience, who hung on every breath she took, and then the songs ended, the response was INCREDIBLE! I’ve been to the Amsterdam show this tour as well, and this one was ten times better, because she didn’t have to belt out while singing in Prague- sang so clearly and in her best voice – partly because there was no need to shout over all the chatting of the Heineken salesmen, and disrepectful badly-behaved bored and spoiled part of the crowd, who created a constant layer of chatter in Amsterdam.
And also this meant she enjoyed herself much more in CZ, and could concentrate on playing, rather than amuzing someone uninterested & bored. People loved her in Prague and actually came to listen to her play and sing. (Seems obvious, but it’s not, this was the first time ever in my experience. The silence and concentration of the whole hall during “Merman” was in itself an experience, let alone with such a good rendition of the song.)
      3. There was some echo happening in the concert hall, but it’s JUST A DETAIL! Otherwise the sound was great (everyone I spoke to from all sorts of seats said this). It’s a live concert, so some stuff will happen technically. But does one really care when Tori is doing a f***ing precise-as-clockwork, strong-as-f**k and totally perfect version of HEART OF GOLD???? I don’t. Also the seats were really comportable with high backs, and let me tell you that to lean back during Merman and just FEEL AND HEAR was heaven.
      4. Tori’s improvisation about the 1989 “velvet revolution” was so warm and special, respect was felt mutually, audience rewarded her strongly for that. She did a parallel between the Czech peaceful way to freedom in 1989 and the current US situation, in the sense that the people of the “land-of-the-free” should learn from the Czech “velvet revolution”, which then followed as a solo song saved for Prague. People went crazy. Another solo song was the best version of “Silent” in years, where she – instead of stretching the notes endlessly – sang as in 1997. “Merman” was jaw-dropping, crystal and emotional. And then “Playboy Mommy”....and “Space Dog”, and “Code Red”, and “Bouncing”, and “Waitress”..... i mean….YES! And “hey Jupiter” at the end, such a beautiful arrangement of the song this tour…

As for highlights in my opinion:

      Heart of Gold
      Siren
      Liquid Diamonds
      Doughnut Song
      Merman
      Space Dog
      Velvet Revolution
      Waitress

(just written like this above each other it’s a tori fan’s wet-dream)

Generally Tori is in full power IMO, and absolutely rocks! She came, she conquered. Prague is hers.

It was awesome! My first Tori concert! I was so lucky to see her on M&G. And lucky again when I heard that she was playing “MERMAN”! – the song I asked her to play during the M&G! She played it so tenderly, so moving. The show was perfect! I loved the way “Smokey Joe” and “Doughnut Song” were performed. Simply head-blow-up!. To me the whole concert was a highlight. Tori rocks! I loved it a lot!

    6. Sergey says:

We came from Ukraine to Prague specially to visit Tori’s concert. Beautiful city, talented Tori, excellent voice, magnificent concert!!!

We were late to Tori’s M&G for 30 minutes. Very pity!

Heart of Gold very surprised me and excited! Precious things it’s a classic! Bliss, Code Red, Precious Things – it was a dream!

I wanted to dance all the concert. It was great that we could dance near the scene during the first and the second Encores.

Hard and romantic music + strong and sweet voice + deep and sensual texts + Tori’s talent and charm + great band = that what we love Tori for!

Thanks a lot! Please come to Ukraine or to Russia! Or we’ll visit Prague again )))

    7. Laura says:

The show was great! But I learned about the meet and greet here just now, too bad I missed it… It was my first Tori Amos concert and I had expected a softer show, but was pleasantly surprised at how great the show was!
