Just came back from tonite’s show. Tori seemed really happy to be in Berlin, as she said: it’s no secret that this is one of my favourite cities in the world. The set list was great, but felt a little too short (you could feel the huge disappointment in the crowd) the backing tracks near the end were kinda strange, but overall: her voice, wow! How did she get her high register back?! Combined with her deep voice, its probably the best and richest she has ever sounded… Also loved that she treated old songs with such care and emotion. Great show! Glad to see some more…

The show started off really strong, Tori seemed to be in a great mood. Sugar was absolutely amazing and one of the best performances of the night. The Lizard Lounge was sweet, especially River, although I was hoping for David Bowie, since his exhibition only just started the day before at the local museum around the locations corner.
All in all, I really enjoyed the show, even overplayed oldtimers like Little Earthquakes. Minor flaw: I would have LOVED to hear more new songs, especially solo, and the backing tracks are a JOKE, please Tori skip those! They sound like Karaoke-Versions and don’t do anything for the crowd.

My 2nd show this tour (after Paris last Saturday) and all I can say: I don’t know how this can get any better! Again: every song was perfect! Caught A Lite Sneeze and Sugar were both really really strong performances, probably the strongest and fiercest I’ve heard so far. Wild Way moved me and a friend of mine to tears…Little Earthquakes was amazing, so much energy and she nailed this song. Again, I can not choose a favourite…River was simply beautiful and the solo-version of iieee is out of this world. I don’t know how many times the word AMAZING can be used, but one thing is clear: It can be used again and again and again when it comes to Tori and her live shows. Go, see her this tour!

Yep, backing tracks are a bad joke. What bums me out personally is the fact that they’re concentrated near the end of the show and in encore thus setting mood for the rest of the evening on the way home, to hotel etc. I remember right after the show my mind was totally empty and I just stood there for a few minutes thinking WTH just happened? And not a pleasant WTH I might add. If the song doesn’t work solo then don’t force it, save it for a band tour if there is one in the future.
Enough whining: Weatherman is currently my favourite song so I greatly appreciate it got played as well as Space Dog, Sugar, Purple People and others. Can’t specifically mention the entire setlist, lol. Looking forwards to Vienna!

This was my 8th Tori Show. And it was the first time I ever requested something… I am not sure if she played it for me but Vicar’s Wife was really special!
I loved that she played four songs off the new album as she had not played as many the shows before.
The setlist was quite nostalgic, I think. A lot of fan favourites – and she seemed to be so full of energy and really into playing all these songs.
I really enjoyed the whole performance and “The Tide is High” was a nice surprise which kind of left me speechless, too. That’s a song I’ve been listening to a lot lately and I am not sure where it came from for Tori.
Wild Way, Weatherman, Vicar’s Wife and Purple People were my favourite performances. I was not sure about River – it seemed like an odd choice, so christmasy and it was warm and sunny outside – but it was still a nice surprise and wonderful delivery.
She is a brilliant live performer and her voice was crystal clear, just perfect.
The only regret I have is that I left my copy of “Unrpentant Geraldines” in my CD Player at home so I could not listen to it afterwards ;-)
