The Stuttgart show was very special. I really love T performing solo, I think there’s so much energy and also the setlists are just amazing! Really loved the mashup “Tubular Bells/God/Running Up That Hill” following “Pancake”. It was pretty clear, that this show is about intolerance, power and control over people. I think Tori also heard about the demonstrations going on in Stuttgart. Stuttgart is quite a conservative right-winged place in Germany, so I think the songs chosen for the concert, were just perfectly relevant. I think she chose “Merman” (which was such a heart-felt performance) in honour of Mathew Shepard and to remind us about what happened to him. “Happiness Is A Warm Gun”: what can I say? It’s not one of my favourite covers, but this solo-performance was just like one of the best performances I have ever heard her do! “Let It Be” was just so emotional and a real tear-jerker! “Little Amsterdam” followed by “Smoeky Joe” was freakin’ heavy and amazing, too! I should mention, that the LIZARD LOUNGE-sign wasn’t on during “Happiness Is A Warm Gun”. Almost a week after this show, I am still humbled and very moved by this great experience of having witnessed Tori’s show in Stuttgart and I wish I could go to all the shows this tour! She is just the most amazing artist/musician and live performer ever! May the muses always be with her! Looking forward to the next tour!
