No live setlist today. I’ll be gone for the rest of the day, and woj (who normally covers for me on Friday afternoons) is away for the weekend. I’ll be back in the wee hours of the night and will do my best to post before I go to sleep. Here, look at some lolcats while I’m gone. Bonus points if you can guess my all time favorite. (Come on, you can do it! I keep a print out of it tacked up on the bulletin board over my desk, just get out your binoculars and do a quick Peeping Tom.) Violet So as not to leave this hanging, my all-time favorite lolcat. (Update, July 25: Erm, I think I broke the lolcats2 website. It’s been “down temporarily due to server issues” since the day after I posted the link, and it’s never been down before. I think the traffic I sent there must have busted it. Oops!)
Pip opened this show. Setlist from Everythingtori.com. Had to guess on the solo songs, so if anything’s not right, please let us know.

Marius Istrate says:
An extraordinary experience for all of us who were there. The crowd was fantastic and I think Tori felt very welcomed here in Romania. I especially enjoyed “Teenage Hustling” and “Bouncing Off Clouds” from the new album and I was amazed by the great performances of “Siren”, “Northern Lad” and “A Sorta Fairytale”. The second encore rocked (!!!) and all in all I find it was a truly cathartic experience hearing Tori play live for the first time in my life. I sincerely hope she returns to Bucharest in the future because I would like to hear “Tear In Your Hand”, “Spark” or “Pretty Good Year” also :P

Tori is such a powerful and great woman! and she showed this in her concert in Bucharest. Pip was magnetic! She’s my favourite, and it was the best choice for this concert.
The show didn’t start on time. We had to wait 45 long minutes above the announced hour. It was not a professional thing to do, but anyway, it was worth the wait. ;)
Tori also did a small improvisation at some point during the show…it was something like…“I walked your streets today, Respect, I don’t know if I could have been this brave” and beautifully looked straight into our eyes … it was very emotional for me and I think for every Romanian there present. She talked about how much she had wanted to come here and sing for a long time, because some Romanian fans keept on asking her all these years “When you’re gonna come?”. She said that she probably is the only person who thinks “Vlad The Impaler was a good man, and maybe he just needed a good woman.” :P
She smiled a lot while playing. Siren started so beautifully…it was like a dialog between her and her piano and it was like two persons in one…Tori playing the notes and the piano replying with more. Pure joy to see her!
And I remember that Secret Spell was played before Bouncing Off Clouds…I hope I am not mistaken.
