    Q, Meet T

    Wednesday, May 06, 2009 | 04:39 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Tori is listed as one of the upcoming guests on Q Radio. According to their post, she’ll be making an appearance in their studios on Monday, May 25th. The time should be announced as the date approaches. Looks like they archive in-studio appearances so it should be available for on-demand streaming after the fact.

    Tour Date Update

    Wednesday, May 06, 2009 | 01:16 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

While tour dates have not yet been announced (though, with the upcoming iTunes pre-sale three weeks away, at the end of May, it can’t be much longer before the North American dates are made public), a few more likely dates have surfaced via means both nefarious and not.

First, and most conclusively, the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri states right on its website that Tori will be playing there on Thursday, July 23rd at 7:30 PM. Ticket sale information is to be announced, according to their site. Given the hard info on their site, we’ve gone ahead and added this date to the tour page. (And those fearful that Tori would only be playing the cities in the iTunes pre-sale, take heart! KCMO was not on the list so it’s likely she’ll be doing a wider scale tour than the pre-sale cities would indicate!)

Less convincingly, several people reported seeing a listing on Ticketmaster for a show at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC on Saturday, August 1st. Alas, the listing is no longer up and was removed before we had a chance to spot it. It’s certainly not uncommon for these sorts of listings to appear and disappear — and they often prove true in the end — so denizens of the District, keep an eye on Ticketmaster and hope for the best.

We’ve also heard rumors of a show at the Bank of America Pavilion on Monday, August 17th. A trusted anonymous source slipped us the news earlier this week but now some ticket resellers have started listing VIP tickets for a concert on that date. So, while that date does seem pretty likely, we’d recommend waiting for official word before splurging on any reseller site.

Finally, several European dates have appeared on last.fm and iLike: September 25th at Stadthalle in Vienna, October 9th at Dom Muzyki i Tańca in Zabrze (Poland), October 10th at Sala Kongresowa in Warsaw and March 3, 2010 in Sofia, Bulgaria. While both sites allow for fans to submit events, the Vienna and Polish dates sound reasonable and we’ve gotten reports about that Warsaw date from another source as well but, again, we wouldn’t make plans just yet. On the other hand, the Sofia date seems pretty suspect as the tour is supposed to conclude before the end of the year.

In any event, while speculation is lots of fun, we’re sending telepathic messages to ToriAmos.com and Everything Tori to get dates officially announced as soon as possible!

And on a related topic: we’re told the iTunes pre-sale passwords will be e-mailed to those eligible to receive them closer to the actual pre-sale date. So, do not be alarmed that you haven’t gotten yours yet.

    Out.com Interview (May 5, 2009)

    Tuesday, May 05, 2009 | 22:55 UTC | Posted by woj | Articles

We are programmed for so long that sexy is out there somewhere and sacred is in here somewhere and you’re never going to have sexy and sacred in a relationship together. And I think it does depend on who you’re with, but I think you really have to work hard to break those programs because they’re so entrenched.

Noah Michelson sat down with Tori a few weeks ago to talk about the new record and the lengthy interview was posted on Out.com earlier today. It’s an excellent read, touching the new album’s themes of attraction and spiritual eroticism, home and belonging, Tori’s place in the record industry, the Comic-Con dress, and … Madonna!

Peruse it on Out.com or check it out below.

    Tuesday, May 05, 2009 | 04:38 UTC | Posted by woj | Releases

Speaking of Australia, George let us know that “Welcome to England” is now available at the Australian iTunes store. Unlike here in the States, it’s being sold as an EP and includes two additional album tracks: “Maybe California” and “Fire To Your Plain.”

    Thanks for the tip!

SameSame.com.au Abnormally Attracted to Sin Review

    Tuesday, May 05, 2009 | 04:15 UTC | Posted by woj | Reviews

SameSame.com.au, an Australian website that had the scoop on Tori’s Australian tour in 2007, has gotten its mitts on a copy of Abnormally Attracted to Sin and let one of their staff, rheiner, have his way with it. He’s posted his review and, rather than taking a holistic approach, he’s given it the track-by-track once-over of his reactions to each song.

If you’re holding out until the release date, you might want to skip this rather detailed review for now, but if you’re anxious for every little tidbit, it’s definitely worth the read.

    Shoppin' With Tori

    Tuesday, May 05, 2009 | 03:52 UTC | Posted by woj | Minutiae

Oh yeah, there was another Google Alert I didn’t have a chance to check earlier: apparently, Tori shops in London! Who knew?

Seriously though, some paparazzi snapped a few photos of Tori hitting the stores that were posted on WENN.com and have turned up at several other celebrity gossip sites as well. Photo mavens and gallery keepers, start your engines!

(Thanks to Roz for jogging the memory banks…)

    Fire to Your Plain Video

    Tuesday, May 05, 2009 | 00:03 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Anna was the first to let us know that the video (wait, I thought they were visualettes!) for “Fire To Your Plain” was added to Amazon’s page for the deluxe Abnormally Attracted to Sin (that explains what the Google Alert I didn’t have time to check at work today was about).

    Tori on ZDF

    Monday, May 04, 2009 | 12:00 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web,Video

As reported, Tori made a brief appearance on the ZDF’s Morgenmagazin this morning. There was a short interview and a she played “Welcome to England,” though it was cut off when they cut to news.

Through the magic of The Internet, you can watch it now in all its overdubbed glory on ZDF’s website, but it’s also made its way to YouTube already as well:

Thanks to Kelly, Dyana and Dylo for the links!
