Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
We already had fairly legible photographs of the recent article about Tori in Rock’n‘Reel magazine but Suzie sent us a scan of the article as well. The PDF file is a wee bit too big for us to host as it, but we’ve uploaded it to Mediafire so folks can snag it.
If anyone cares to work on transcribing the interview, whether by brute force or OCR, the PDF might be a bit easier to work with…. (UPDATE: Thanks to Jeff Kleismit, we have a transcript of this article. We’ll get it up shortly.)
Thanks Suzie!
Dylo noticed that Universal Republic Records now has an artist page for Tori.
There isn’t a whole lot there yet, but you can sign up for an account and add Tori as a friend.
Also, ToriAmos.com is down at the moment. The domain is now pointing to servers at Universal (or trying to, unsuccessfully). This is almost certainly a temporary glitch. Give them some time and they’ll get it sorted out.
Thanks to Daniel for letting us know that Tori is the cover story in this month’s issue of Keyboard Player Magazine (January 2009, issue #0332).
If you can’t find the issue at your local newsstand, or you just don’t wanna put clothes on and schlepp to the store, you can purchase a PDF copy of the interview on the website. Now that’s service!
[Here-a-Tori, There-a-Tori is an occasional column rounding up small Tori mentions far and wide.]
In this edition:
Just when it seems life can’t get any better, our favorite clueless band manager Murray namechecks Tori (again) on the second season premier of “Flight Of The Conchords.” You can catch the episode on On Demand through April 20th or online at Funnyordie.com (sorry, world, US only). Thanks to Kelly, Meagan, and Brandy.
On the January 21st installment of American Idol, there was a short “blink and you’ll miss it” audition clip of a fellow who had attempted to dress himself as a zebra — black and white stripey facepaint and all — and sing “Mr. Zebra.” Okay, ‘fess up … it was one of you, wasn’t it? (Credit to Shannon, torifying, Amber, Jordy, and Jessica Rich for not blinking.)
Apparent you can drop in at the Dew Drop Inn … in Gotham City in Neil Gaiman’s two-part send-off to Batman, Whatever Happened To The Caped Crusader (hitting stores in February). We don’t know about you, but we’re planning to steal some shampoo and towels.
Yes, it’s true, AOL Music’s all-Tori station was recently wished to the cornfield. Your guess is as good as ours as to why.
Darrell, Dan, and Devin noticed that on January 4th, there was a micro update on Matt Chamberlain’s website where he posted about a Tori recording session at Avast Studios in Seattle and included a studio photo. A pic of Matt with Tori was also added this past Friday (January 23rd).
Matt told us that Rob O’Connor recently mentioned Tori in his Yahoo Music Blog, “List Of The Day.” Tori made #4 on his list titled Real Names Be Proof—Would These Ten Stars Have Made It With Their Real Names.
Tori made MSN’s 2008 Year In Review “Celebrity Fashion Flops” list for yes, you guessed it, the Comic Con outfit. Well, at least they were on the ball enough to mention that it was a costume. Thanks, christina.
There’s a 3-page interview with Tori in the current issue (volume 2 no 13, January/February 2009) of UK magazine Rock n Reel. You can view large relatively-readable photos of the pages here and here.
Props to Scooby for letting us know about this and taking the big piccies. If anyone with a copy would like to transcribe and send scans of the photos, it would be greatly appreciated.
Update: Suzie has sent a PDF scan of the article to us for sharing. You can download it from Mediafire if you would prefer a scan to the pictures Scooby shared previously.
“The first time I heard them I thought this director had a very imaginative arranging sense,” she said. “The fact that the children are so versatile — I didn’t expect this level of ability from a children’s choir and was really blown away, touched, thrilled and inspired all at once.”
As promised! Check out the article on the PS22 choir in Dec. 25’s NYT. The full article is also beyond the jump.
We have word that the fabulous PS22 Choir will be featured sometime very soon — probably this week — in the Metro section of the New York Times. The article will include quotes from Tori, who was interviewed by the Times’ reporter. We don’t quite know which day, yet, but keep your eyes peeled, both in the five boroughs and online, to catch the article.
While we wait, check out the choir’s recent cover of “1,000 Oceans.”
Is anyone else getting goosebumps from that solo? Wow.
(UPDATE: We’re told the article will appear on Friday, December 26th.)
The final issue of the Tori Amos fanzine Little Blue World will reach subscribers in January. Here’s what’s included in the issue:

Things are changing and there are real breaks in the road. If you can see them coming, you can say, “Alright, I’m going to be more of a designer in my life.”
Tori talks to Spinner.com about her new partnership with Universal Republic Records and broadly hints at the shortened format a “tour” would likely take. Thanks to Darrell for sending this in.
Tori Amos Inks New Deal, Eyes Spring/Summer Release
Hot off the presses, a press release for you. Yay! While it doesn’t contain a ton of new information, it does confirm that Tori has signed with a new record company for the upcoming album and has vague details about the project.
