Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
As news goes, this may not be the most noteworthy but for completeness’ sake and your edification, we note that Tori made MSN’s 25 Famed Naked Celeb Moments earlier this month. Tori comes in at #19 for the infamous photograph of her nursing a piglet from the Boys for Pele album artwork. While seemingly pretty innocuous, especially in the post-wardrobe malfunction era, the photograph did stir up some debate back in the day so it’s not as innocent as it might seem.
Thanks to Emily, Lauren and Matthew for catching this!
Don’t to be outdone by the Aussies, the Polish version of So You Think You Can Dance? has also featured a dance performed to Tori’s music. This time, competitors Leal & Bartek dance a modern piece choreographed to Tori’s version of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” The segment that features the performance can be watched on YouTube — it starts at the 1:30 minutes mark:
Thanks to Jarek for the notice!
While much has been written about the dedication and intensity of Tori’s fans, Lindsay Pereira’s Times of India article gives the phenomenon a personal angle as the author speaks with several world travelers following 2009’s Sinful Attraction tour as it wound through Europe. In addition to discussing the reasons that we Toriphiles have become the Deadheads of today, the article provides a primer for the uninitiated on Tori’s background and her art that has inspired so many to become fans and embark on this journey.
Thanks to the several of you who pointed this piece out!
As mentioned on ToriAmos.com just a wee bit ago, tickets for the show in Moscow can be purchased from concert.ru and parter.ru. Good luck to all those buying seats for this concert!
This weird summer of Tori shows continues to grow!
Ticketmaster has listed a concert at Iveagh Gardens in Dublin, Ireland on Friday, July 16th. Tickets, priced at €45.00, are slated to go on sale on Thursday, April 22nd at 9:00 AM IST.
Thanks to Ed for being the first to let us know!
Update: The promoter for the show has also announced it on their website as well (thank you @NicotineLove.)
The concert in Moscow at Crocus City Hall on September 3rd has been confirmed by ToriAmos.com and Everything Tori! Tickets are slated to go on sale on Monday, April 19th.
Soon as we get ticket vendors and an on-sale time, we’ll get that information posted — if any of our Russian correspondants can assist with determining times and locations, we’d appreciate the help!
On the Australian edition of So You Think You Can Dance, Tori’s rendition of Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” was the backing music for a contemporary dance piece by contenders Phillipe and Jessie H. In the episode wrap-up on the show’s website, the performance was noted to be a “dance highlight” by the judges.
Unfortunately for those outside of Australia, the video clip of the performance is only available to Australians…but perhaps it will make its way onto Youtube eventually. Wink wink nudge nudge say no more!
Thanks to Brian and Mel for the heads up about this!
Q: I was wondering if you could let me know where to get a copy of the WHAT?! Magazine Spring 2010 issue [with Tori on the cover]. —Carrie
Issues of WHAT?! can be purchased from R. D. Franks, a fashion book shop located in London. WHAT?! is listed under Magazines > Fashion Media. The order form doesn’t seem to allow you to specify which issue you want to purchase so you might want to call or e-mail the shop to clarify your order and get a shipping quote if you are ordering from outside the United Kingdom.
Thanks to Kaz and Greg for the tip!
Update: Bobbywithahammer reports that he picked up a copy of the issue at The Soho Bookstore on Old Compton Street in Soho, London. So clearly there are lots of places out there to pick it up if you’re in the area. If we come across any other places to mail order it from — for those outside of the UK — we’ll update this article.
Apparently Pori Jazz Festival tickets are already on sale through Ticketmaster’s Finnish affiliate, Lippupalvelu.fi.
Thanks to Jan S. for catching this.
Took us by surprise!
Tori will be playing the Pori Jazz Festival in Finland on July 23, 2010 and appears to be playing Crocus City Hall in Moscow on September 3, 2010.
No word yet on when tickets will go on sale. Tickets for the Pori Jazz Festival are on sale now from the Festival Box Office and Lippupalvelu (Ticketmaster’s Finnish affiliate).
The Russian date, however, is a bit more vexing. The venue website has not added this show to their event listing yet and there has been no confirmation from Tori’s management yet either. The primary source for this concert looks to be the promoter’s website but no ticket information has been posted there yet. So while the show does look likely and we’ve added it to our tour listing, we’ll have to sit tight for more information to be announced.
roman, Jan S., and Taru were the first of several to give us the heads-up.
