Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
The San Jose show just finished. Interesting inclusions were “Cool On Your Island,” “Horses,” “Liquid Diamonds,” “Putting The Damage On,” and perhaps most unexpectedly “Cars And Guitars.” Jon Evans was embarrassed by an improv during “Fast Horse” — we can’t wait to hear the full story on that! It was apparently one of the crew, the keyboard tech, not Jon.
Check the setlist out over in the Tour section.
If you were there, please share your thoughts on the show by posting a review using the form at the bottom of that page, or submitting photos and videos.
Tonight’s show at The Paramount in Oakland is in the books. Probably the most notable song from the evening was a cover of Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time” during the solo Lizard Lounge portion of the show that also included, naturally, the debut of “Maybe California.” Other first-timers were “Flavor,” “a sorta fairytale,” “Beauty of Speed,” “Martha’s Foolish Ginger,” “Mother Revolution,” and “Tear In Your Hand.” The full setlist, thanks to several Twitterers, can be found in the Tour section.
If you were there, please let everyone know what you thought of the show by posting a review using the form at the bottom of that page!
Update: Finally got photos, video and reviews from Oakland added to the site (damn you full-time job!). Of most interest, we imagine, is the “Baby One More Time” cover. There is a nice mp3 of the song at Here In My Head and at least a couple copies on YouTube. Enjoy!
The Portland show ended a short time ago, and it sounds like it was lovely. Some great songs in there. We have the full setlist up in the Tour section. (Many thanks to Brendan C. and Alicia for getting that to us, since we weren’t able to cover it live.)
If you were there and would like to tell us how it was, head over to the Portland flashback page and send us a review.
Great news for Toriphiles in Oz: Robert Schrader tells us that at this afternoon’s M&G, Tori said there will be a tour of Australia in December. Yay! So all you folks Down Under may now commence with the running around in circles, jumping for joy.
The Sinful Attraction tour is kicking off tonight in Seattle so we’re sitting here at our laptops scanning Twitter and checking txt msgs sorting out what is going on out at the WaMu along with the rest of you. As we get setlist information in, we’ll get it posted on Seattle’s concert page.
Update The first show of the tour is in the books and the setlist posted. If you were there and want to let the world (or at least Undented’s readership) know what you thought of the concert, head on over to the Tour section and post a review in the comments section.
Also, since a few people have asked, there was a quick meet & greet in the afternoon which reportedly went over pretty smoothly.
With the Sinful Attracton tour just around the corner (who’s going to Seattle on Friday?), it’s reassuring to know that Sped’s super-duper ultra-hetrodyne Tori Amos Setlist Database will, once again, be updated regularly as the tour progresses!
For those that don’t know, this online resource is an interactive database of known setlists for Tori’s shows going back to 1992’s Little Earthquakes tour. Wondering what shows that rare b-side you love was performed at? Don’t remember what songs she played at the shows you were able to attend? Fear not! The Setlist Database will make it all clear.
Sped’s already added the SXSW and Acoustically Attracted to Sin concerts as well as the May radio broadcasts to the database and, in his update from yesterday, notes that he’ll be maintaining it again through the coming months. Many thanks to Sped for this invaluable resource — and to Greg for pointing it out.
Rachel and vampadora pointed out a special offer from Travelzoo for discounted tickets to next week’s concert at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts.
Through Friday, July 10th at 5:00 PM (Pacific time, we presume), go to Ticketmaster, enter the code TORI in the Promotions and Special Offers field and you’ll be able to pick up tickets to this concert at the discounted rate: $24.75 (normally $39.50) for balcony seats and $32.75 (regularly $55.50) for the orchestra. Not a bad deal at all!
Sure would be nice if a similar offer magically popped up for the New York City show…nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more!
Although we mentioned that English band One eskimO appeared to be the opening act on the North American leg of the Sinful Attraction tour at the end of the last tour update, it was buried at the bottom of the article and people may have missed it. Since then, this has been confirmed by ToriAmos.com and Everything Tori. Several of their songs from their singles and the just-released album All Balloons are available for streaming from their MySpace and website so check ‘em out now before the tour gets going!
Tickets for the August 14th show at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ, are slated to go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday, July 1st) at noon. They’re expected to run about $65.
Tickets will be available at the box office, by calling the box office at (732) 842-9000, or by ordering online. There is currently no listing for the show on the Basie’s website, but presumably it will show up sometime today. When it does appear, it should be on this page with a “Buy Tickets” link that points to Seatadvisor.com.
We got a report today that there was a apparently a presale for Count Basie members only yesterday. Approximately 200 tickets sold; the theater itself has 1500 seats total, quite small in terms of venues Tori normally plays, so this is expected to be a fairly intimate show.
Thanks to Joe and Elaine for digging into this.
Thanks to the several folks who wrote in to let us know that a concert at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ on Friday, August 14th has been added the the Sinful Attraction Tour. According to ToriAmos.com, tickets are slated to go on-sale on Wednesday, July 1st. As ticket details are announced, we’ll get them posted in the Tour Section.
(Whoops! Sorry about the Seating chart link — that’s what happens when you update the site on 3 hours of sleep and then have your nose to the grindstone at work all day!)
