The Rest of the European Dates...

    Wednesday, May 27, 2009 | 22:37 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Several people wrote in earlier today to let everyone know that the Sinful Attraction Tour’s stops in Oslo and and Germany had been announced. Not long after, ToriAmos.com and the other other official mouthpieces updated their European tour dates, including a couple concerts in Italy as well.

So, here is the current European tour as we understand it, with new additions bolded:

    Date City Venue Tickets
6 September Manchester Manchester Apollo on pre-sale now
7 September Birmingham Symphony Hall on pre-sale now
8 September Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on pre-sale now

14 September Munich Circus Krone on sale 29 May
15 September Zurich Kongresshaus on sale 27 May

21 September Oslo Sentrum Scene on sale 30 May
24 September Prague Congress Centre on sale now
25 September Vienna, Austria Stadthalle on sale now
27 September Hamburg Laeiszhalle on sale 29 May
28 September Dusseldorf Tonhalle on sale 29 May
30 September Rome Auditorium Parco della Musica on sale 29 May
1 October Milan Teatro Smeraldo on sale 29 May
3 October Paris Palais des Congres on sale now
4 October Antwerp Lotto Arena on sale now
5 October Frankfurt Jahrhunderthalle on sale 29 May
7 October Berlin Tempodrom on sale 29 May

German dates will go on sale on May 29th through Eventim.de. The Italian dates will go on sale at 10:00 AM CEST on May 29th through TicketOne.it. Oslo goes on sale on May 30th through Billetservice.no.

We’ll be getting the Tour section updated with any available ticketing links, prices, seating charts, etc. as soon as possible.

Note: Tori’s mentioned that she’s coming to Russia this tour, so this is probably not the rest of the European tour dates as the title of this article would imply. Chalk it up to youthful exuberance…or the gin and tonic. Your choice!

    iTunes UK 'Fesses Up

    Wednesday, May 27, 2009 | 22:11 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

iTunes UK has issues a statement regarding the pre-sale password fiasco over the last weekend and it’s been posted up on Everything Tori. To wit:

Due to an unforeseen system error the redemption codes for the Tori Amos iTunes / Ticketmaster UK promotion were not delivered to recipients on Friday 22nd May as promised. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Redemption codes were sent to all recipients on Tuesday 26th May. Additional tickets have been made available to the promotion to ensure that customers who didn’t receive their codes until 26th May have ample access to pre-sale tickets.

Fortunately, with everyone in the trenches calling and e-mailing iTunes, we think that most people were able to get their codes over the weekend and get decent tickets during the pre-sale. If you didn’t, now would be the time to try again and see what you can find.

Regardless of whether you were (or are) able to get codes and tickets or not, we’ve heard from more than a few people that it certainly wouldn’t hurt to make your displeasure known to iTunes directly.

    Tour Update - 26 May 2009

    Wednesday, May 27, 2009 | 03:29 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

After the last-minute madness of the Antwerp, here are some more leisurely updates from the ticket vendor sites today:

    • Ticketmaster has added listings for the first Oakland show, Washington, Minneapolis and Detroit. All four shows have iTunes pre-sales taking place this Thursday at 10:00 AM local time.
    • The only show with a presale this week that hasn’t been added to Ticketmaster yet is Los Angeles. However, since the presale is not scheduled to take place until Thursday, there is no reason for alarm just yet. It’s not uncommon for listings to be added the day before tickets go on sale.
    • Ticketpro.ca has added a listing for Montreal. No sale dates or ticket price information is posted yet, but the show is still supposed to go on sale Saturday, May 30th at Noon local time according to ToriAmos.com’s tour page.
    • Theresa got the scoop regarding Ticket Rush pre-sales, of which there is one for Denver. It seems that Ticket Rush is being folded into Live Nation and to be eligible for a Ticket Rush pre-sale you must register as a Live Nation member.

    Belgium Show?

    Tuesday, May 26, 2009 | 21:21 UTC | Posted by Violet | Touring

erikwithak let us know that Tori will apparently be playing at Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium on October 4th.

UPDATE 23:04 CET: Tickets will go on sale one minute after Midnight CET on Wednesday May 27th — so about an hour from now — and the prices are 39, 44, 47 en 52 euro.

The only information we’ve been able to dig up on this so far is this article, which says tickets go on sale tomorrow (which presumably means Wednesday, May 27th) via ProximusGoformusic.be. Tickets are between 35 and 48 euro.

Unfortunately there’s currently no listing for Tori on ProximusGoformusic.be and a search on the site doesn’t turn anything up, so I’m afraid we don’t know any more beyond what that news article says. If anyone comes across more details anywhere, please send them in.

UPDATE: And a mere two seconds after posting this, another search turned this Live Nation listing up. And a listing on Sportpaleis.be/nl/.

    Paris Ticket Update

    Tuesday, May 26, 2009 | 09:28 UTC | Posted by Violet | Touring

Tickets for Tori’s Paris show went on sale at 10am CET, but Clemens Hemer tells us they aren’t accessible via avosbillets.com. UPDATE: avosbillets.com has the ticket link open now.

The sites that are currently selling Paris tickets are Francebillet.com and
    Fnacspectacles.com.

    iTunes US Passwords

    Tuesday, May 26, 2009 | 09:17 UTC | Posted by Violet | Touring

The passwords for the iTunes US presales went out around 9:30pm Pacific on Sunday.

    Whew!

Update: Please note that the pre-sale codes are good for the purchase of up to FOUR TICKETS FOR ONE SHOW. They can not be used to buy tickets for more than one show.

Here’s the text of the e-mail which came with the codes (thanks to the many people who sent it in):

Thank you for pre-ordering Tori Amos’ new album, Abnormally Attracted to Sin. Your order makes you eligible to purchase up to four concert tickets for her upcoming tour before they go on sale to the general public. Presale tickets will be available this week.

The first iTunes Presale for these shows begins at 10 a.m. (local venue time) on Thursday, May 28, and ends at 10 p.m. (local venue time) on Friday, May 29, in the following markets: Seattle, Oakland, San Diego, Los Angeles, Orlando, Dallas, Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, and Washington, D.C. And the second iTunes Presale begins at 10 a.m. (local venue time) on Wednesday, June 3, and ends at 10 p.m. (local venue time) on Thursday, June 4, in the following markets: Durham, New York, and Portland. Additional cities may be added at a later date. Please check Ticketmaster.com for regular updates.

To get your tickets, go to Ticketmaster.com and enter the password below in the iTunes Presale field (right next to your ticket selection).

One Ticketmaster Password per iTunes account. Each password is good for one order of up to four tickets.

    Tour Update - 25 May 2009

    Tuesday, May 26, 2009 | 02:08 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Here’s the latest and greatest from the ticket trenches….

    • First, we still have not heard of anyone getting a password from iTunes for the US pre-sales. At this point, we’d guess that someone overlooked the Memorial Day holiday and that the passwords were always intended to be sent on Tuesday, the first business day of the week. We’ll see though… Pre-sale tickets were sent out at 9:30 PM PDT on Monday, May 25th.
    • Live Nation has added listings for Oakland (the first show), Denver, and Indianapolis.
    • Denver has a Ticket Rush pre-sale taking place on May 29th at 10:00 AM MDT. Unhelpfully, TicketRush.com loops back to Live Nation where the signup link redirects back to itself as well.
    • Indy has three pre-sales happening simultaneously at 10:00 AM EDT on Friday, May 29th: a Citi pre-sale for those who have a Citi card, a Live Nation pre-sale that looks to be open to the public, and a “radio” pre-sale that we’re guessing will be sponsored by WTTS as they appear to be giving away some tickets to the Murat show to members of their VIP Room.
    • eVenue has added a purchase link for Kansas City.
    • Ticketmaster has added listings for Orlando and Chicago.
    • Ticketmaster has added an All Access pre-sale for Grand Prairie. It is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM CDT on Friday, May 29th — one day after the iTunes pre-sale. We haven’t been able to uncover any details about this pre-sale yet but will share anything we learn once we do.
    • Tickets.com has added a listing for the Milwaukee show.

All this info has been added to our listings in the Tour section.

    US iTunes Pre-sale Password Update

    Monday, May 25, 2009 | 23:00 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

According to ToriAmos.com, the passwords for the US iTunes pre-sale were supposed to be mailed today, Monday, May 25th. Our understanding is that the e-mails were to go out during the afternoon today. However, we’ve yet to hear from anyone who has gotten their password and have gotten several reports of people not receiving them yet.

If anyone has gotten their password, please let us know so we can get the word out. If you haven’t gotten your password, double-check your spam filters to make sure that the e-mail hasn’t been shunted off to junk-mail-land.

To be honest, it was a little strange to us that iTunes would send out passwords on a holiday but stranger things have happened. Fortunately, the pre-sales are scheduled to start on Thursday so there are a few days’ cushion if the passwords are not mailed today.

Swiss Dates From Good News Productions

    Monday, May 25, 2009 | 21:12 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Misha let us know that two dates in Switzerland have been announced on GoodNews.ch: Sunday, September 13th at the Grosser Festsaal Messe in Basel and Tuesday, September 15th at the Kongresshaus in Zürich.

There is a pre-sale for both shows for GoodNews.ch members on Tuesday, May 26th at 8:00 AM CEST and both shows go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, May 27th at 8:00 AM CEST.

Special Note Re London Presale Tickets

    Monday, May 25, 2009 | 01:03 UTC | Posted by Violet | Touring

We know Ticketmaster is currently showing that there are no more presale tickets available for London.

    Don’t give up just yet…

Ticketmaster will be adding another allotment of tickets for the London presale. We expect them to be available on Monday (yes, that’s today for you UK folks), so check Ticketmaster then. (Sorry, we don’t have a specific time.)

If they don’t get added on Monday, don’t panic. They will will DEFINITELY be available on Tuesday.

    So keep those chins up!

Update: Ethan reports just picking up a pair of tickets in the stalls for London so it looks like the additional pre-sale tickets have been released.
