The New Yooxer Interview (November 13, 2009)

    Tuesday, November 17, 2009 | 04:14 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web,Video

The New Yooxer on posted a video interview with Tori over the week. Interspersed with live video clips, Tori talks about Abnormally Attracted to Sin, Midwinter Graces and the dresses she’s wearing on the current tour.

The feature also includes a slideshow of photographs by Fabio Costi and Tori’s “Dream Box,” where she picks out some clothing and accessories from, the site that the New Yooxer is part of.

Visit The New Yooxer (or jump the cut) for the video — be warned that it starts automatically — though it’s perfectly safe for work if you’re worried about that sort of thing.

Thanks to Susan, Jamie and Kirkland for letting us know about this one!

The PS22 Chorus Tackles Midwinter Graces

    Friday, November 13, 2009 | 04:46 UTC | Posted by woj | Toriphiles,Video

You know those talented and amazing kids in Mr. B’s PS22 Chorus? Well, they don’t mess around and the 2010 Chorus have already learned a couple songs from Midwinter Graces!

Gregg posted a recording of them performing A Winter’s Carol on YouTube yesterday:

And, one of last year’s soloists, Allie, came back for a visit, learned A Silent Night With You on-the-spot and performed that with the chorus as well:

    Damn they’re good!

    Tori Electrifies The Current

    Saturday, August 08, 2009 | 13:47 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web,Video

While in Minneapolis, Tori swung by the studios of Minneasota public radio station The Current for an in-studio appearance. She chatted with host Steve Steel about Abnormally Attrracted to Sin and performed three songs: “Ophelia,” “Silent All These Years” and “Mary Jane.” The entire in-studio can be streamed on The Current’s website and they’ve also been kind enough to post video of the three songs on YouTube — jump the cut to check those out!

Thanks to Amanda for catching this!

    WRNR Private Artist Showcase Today

    Saturday, August 01, 2009 | 17:50 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web,Video

Looks like Tori is doing a Private Artist Showcase for WRNR this afternoon. We’re not sure if this is being aired live or if it being recording for later broadcast and, unfortunately, the server from which WRNR streams is acting up so we can’t listen in to check. But anyone in the Chesapeake Bay area, including Annapolis and Baltimore, may want to tune their rusty, dusty FM tuners to 103.1 FM just in case anything exciting happens to happen…

Update Yep, it happened, though it does not appear to have been broadcast live. Tori played a short set which included “Leather,” “Silent All These Years,” “Mary Jane” and “Lady in Blue.”

Jump the cut to see a video clips shared by Angorasoul, the Ram’s Head blog and Jason on YouTube.

Tori visited The End Zone on Salt Lake City radio station 101.9 The End today, chatting with afternoon DJ Grant Ruby and performing a 3-song set that included “Leather.” “Maybe California” and “500 Miles.”

The session does not appear to be archived on The End’s website but Karinka3 was lucky enough to be in the studio audience, filmed “Maybe California” and “500 Miles“and was kind enough to share them on YouTube:

    The Revenge of BBC HARDtalk

    Thursday, June 11, 2009 | 05:30 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web,Video

Last week, Tori was on the BBC television program HARDtalk. While the interview is archived on the BBC iPlayer, only those in the United Kingdom can view it there. However, as you might expect, the appearance has also shown up on YouTube. Interestingly, BBC World News has posted all three segments of the interview but those videos are currently set to private. It’s not clear if that is the case for all viewers or only those outside of the UK.

In any event, also as you might expect, other users have come to the rescue and all three segments are there for the viewing. Here’s the first; jump the cut for the other two.

Thanks to heather applegreen for the tip!
