News: Here A Tori, There A Tori (October 14, 2007)

Posted by Beth on Monday, October 15, 2007 | Minutiae

[Here a Tori, There a Tori is an occasional column rounding up recent, interesting Tori sightings across the ‘net and around the world.]

    In this issue:

    • Renault spotlights “Code Red” in new advertisement
    • WKMG Orlando deems Tori “hot”
    • Jane Devin mentions Tori in blog
    • Guy Style blog namechecks Tori in Viktor & Rolf entry
    • Tori quoted on site about bee-shamanism book
    • “My Humps” critique confabulates Alanis and Tori

Zoom! Renault had the good taste to include “Code Red” in a recent advert, and Cristina Moreno had the good taste to send it our way:

WKMG Orlando included Tori in a list of hot red-headed women (just use the slider to find her and scope out all the other hot redheads). Along with the gorgeous photo, they write: “These days her hair color seems to change with her moods, but it was Tori Amos’ stunning red hair that first made an impression on fans.” Cheers, Jenny M!

Writer/Blogger Jane Devin mentions Tori in passing in this entry as “a wonderful lyrical artist.” We have to agree; don’t you, Lorna?

Author Jean Pincott lists Tori among the “World’s Most Famous Survivors” in her new book, Healing: Advice for Recovering Your Inner Strength and Spirit from the World’s Most Famous Survivors. Kudos to Lauren Shand for the tip!

Tori warranted a mention on the Guy Style blog (warning: link is worksafe but the rest of the site might not be) when they raved about Viktor and Rolf:

We love Victor and Rolf because Tori Amos loves Victor and Rolf, and we’ll follow her anywhere.

    But…what?

Tori, dress a boy in this and make it look hot.

Tori is quoted on this site about Simon Buxton’s book The Shamanic Way of the Bee. Thanks, Lorelei Blair, for sending us the buzz on that one.

While we’re still playing catch-up, The Columbus Dispatch offered its take on irritating songs, including “My Humps,” both the original by Black Eyed Peas and the Alanis Morissette cover. Erin, can’t people stop comparing her to Tori already?
