Amazing… I’m totally hoarse. My first time hearing one of my faves Liquid Diamonds live :) Rushed the stage from the balcony for the encore and I was front and center right at the stage for Caught a Lite Sneeze (another fave). Hotel! Putting the Damage On! OMGoodness… She was beautiful; and regardless to what the official word was; I swear I saw a baby bump? Love you Tori <3

    2. Travis says:

My first Tori concert and I loved it! Great view too. Favorite songs of the nite Bliss, Precious Things, Liquid Diamonds, and Strong Black Vine!

    3. Johanna says:

Great, great set. Amazing show. Tori was in top form. Perfect encore! Way to go MKE for great audience participation for “Big Wheel!”

    4. Tod says:

Not to be a dooze, but I didn’t really enjoy last nights show…it was Tori and I worship her, it just wasn’t the set list that I would’ve choosen…way too low key…However, very glad to hear Juarez and Virginia, loved the “fuck fuck fuck” part in Hotel and thought that Flavor was one of the most amazing live songs I’ve ever heard her perform since I’ve been seeing Tori since 1991. OK, maybe it wasn’t that bad :) Loved meeting all you sweet fellow Toriphiles at the meet and greet too!!

A set list to make a CD !!. what a concert!! the songs selection were powerful!! Strange, Bliss, Liquid Diamonds were top for me. Strong Black Vine is just the perfect song at that point in the concert; everyone was up from the beginning of this song.
Jon Evans had some problems with the bass at the beginning ..everyone was waiting for the return of it but he keep having problems.. he got a nice ovation when finally Jon got his sound back “ great job Jon “. Matt is just outstanding; he can destroy those drums!!.. Me and my wife flew from Norway ..this is our 3rd show and its Great to see the energy and the wonderful people me have met at the concerts!…
One Eskimo is a Great band ..don’t miss them!!

    6. Alan says:

I saw her both in Chicago and at Milwaukee’s Riverside. I’m glad I made the trip up north as this setlist was more to my liking. Much more rounded, where Chicago’s setlist suffered from the songs blurring together too much. Putting the Damage On, Bliss, Liquid Diamonds, Little Earthquakes were highlights. This Lizard Lounge was fantastic as well. “Strange” on solo piano was the highlight of my night. Overall an awesome show. I think that Big Wheel ending every show is an odd choice, Again, Tori wasn’t at all chatty during the show though she seemed to have a good time. Great show.

    7. Elliot says:

Tori was in rare form last night! The opening and ending songs anchored the set with high energy euphoria, while the rest of the tracks seemed more rooted in introspection. At first, I was a little taken aback as to how many “slower” songs she played, but you could really tell Tori was putting her all into the performance.

“Virginia” was virtually flawless and hard to believe a tour debut, while “Strange” was a welcome addition to the “Lizard Lounge.” I was surprised there was no mention of the screw-up in 2007, but then again Tori appeared really intent on giving a good show and not so much commentary. In fact, I don’t think she even thanked the Milwaukee audiences at all; instead she said something to the effect that she was grateful Chicago patrons traveled to Milwaukee and that tonight they “would be rocking.” They certainly did!

I was also pleasantly surprised by the audience this time around: many stood up through the first three songs and there seemed a minimum of cell phone usage and conversation (in my section, at least.) Milwaukee proves “Sinful Attraction” to be one of Amos’s greatest tours and the setlist really represented some of her best work as a whole. Despite a few sound problems (there was the occasional “Tori’s upset” glares), all worked itself out; the band was superlative, the memory of last night not an easy one to forget.

Personal favorite? “Putting the Damage On” – By far the best performance I’ve ever seen personally or heard recorded, bar none!

    8. Dennis says:

Milwaukee was fantastic, in my opinion the audience energy was more intense than in Chicago, we remained standing through Give, Hotel and Cornflake Girl, and at the end as soon as Strong Black Vine began we were right back up.

Security was (like Chicago) fairly lax, which was nice for whoever made the men's room smell so deliciously of cannabis (also like Chicago). It was great to see her do Strange because she only played her halfway through last tour and had to stop.

Virginia back to back with A Sorta Fairytale was amazing, in my opinion Scarlet's Walk is one of her most beloved albums, and seeing those girls represented together was beyond thrilling. Tori’s energy was fantastic, she seemed at many times to be very entertained by the crowd. During Police Me she even looked like she might laugh.

Caught a Lite Sneeze and Juarez also were fantastic, she went away with the song a bit during Juarez which was especially thrilling as the band setup seems to impede Tori from being able to do this as often as she does during her solo shows.

She was there 100% there is only one T and we who were there were incredibly lucky and fortunate to have been able to witness her in action.

I loved the show! I drove from Columbus, Ohio to see the Chicago show and then this show and this show was just amazing. I was at the meet’n‘greet (one of the many, many, many people there) and she was just lovely. Seeing all the ink that was on her hand, I hesitantly requested Strange and she made a very pleasant reaction when writting it down and asked me why I wanted to hear it. I told her that it was my strength song and then she asked me if I was going to any other shows. I told her yes and she wrote down what shows I was seeing next to the song tittle. But sure enough, she pulled it out! I cried and it was brilliant! :-) THANK YOU SO MUCH TORI! It was brilliant.
Other highlights include Flavor, Virginia, Maybe California ( I didn’t think I was going to get to hear this one!!!), Little Earthquakes and Juarez!! Awesome show!!

    10. Adrienne says:

I really enjoyed the show! Highlights for me were Strange, Putting the Damage On and Strong Black Vine. I felt like her energy was great-I could feel the passion in Juarez. It was fantastic! I too loved meeting everyone at the meet and greet.

    11. Lauren says:

Enjoyed this show immensely- talked with some very cool fans, fun as always.

Surprises were Virginia and Strange (< making up for the mishap last tour perhaps?) which were lovely.
Liquid Diamonds was great- Jon was having technical difficulties all show long, but during this one it was particularly noticeable. Tori and Matt jammed while Jon and the tech sorted things out, and then Tori messed up a little later, missing an entrance, but she continued playing and spat out a few “fuck fuck fuck”‘s and then continued on.

I sobbed my eyes out during “Maybe California”. My whole body was shaking and I just wanted to curl up into a fetal position at the foot of the stage. I also wanted to vomit, scream, smile, and cry some more. It’s a very personal story, which I told Tori the next night in Minneapolis, in person and in letter form. I feel so much better after hearing it though. The catalyst for these emotions happened after the Oakland show, when she performed it. I enjoyed it then, Oh, that pretty song from the new album. But this time, it was as if she was singing directly into the core of my being. Before ADP came out, Tori said in an interview that she wants her music to “whisper into people’s spines.” I really felt that during this performance.
I tried to pull myself together during Putting the Damage On, but that was difficult to do.
I loved having CALS kick off the encore.
A lovely show, if a bit more low key than Chicago. It was what I really needed. Thank you, Tori.

    12. amywaz says:

I just wanted to add a couple things. First during Liquid Diamonds, it was very funny when Tori messed up and said her little “fuck fuck fuck”, but it didn’t end there because then the part where she sings “you know she’s playing poker with the rest of the stragglers” she sang “you know she’s playing poker with the rest of the ‘YOU KNOW’” and then the next part “and if your friends don’t come back to you, and you know this is madness” she actually sang “and if your friends don’t come back to you, and you know this is, this is madness you know”. I actually laughed out loud. She was being very goofy after the first mess up so it was funny to see her play around like that.
Also, at the end of Big Wheel she really went off with her hand gestures during the “wash him away! wash him away! wash him down”.
One more tidbit – having Tori singing Maybe California and staring at me was so cool and intense too! :)
