    1. Waga says:

Just coming back from the concert. It was my best Tori concert ever!!! She played so many of my favorite songs that I had never heard live before (Caught a Light Sneeze, Girl, Icicle, Smokey Joe, Raspberry swirl) and it was good to hear her play songs from every album, except YKTR and SLG but it doesn’t count ;)
She seemed to be really glad to be in Paris (where she bought that fantastic dress she wore tonight!) btw she played two songs about France (Josephine and Marys of the sea).
Her voice was really good and she really seemed to be enjoying it a lot.
      Just amazing…

    2. Stéphane J and Laeti M says:

Back from the concert and just like Waga said before me, it was such a good concert, maybe the best concert so far. Each one is the best!! Tonight, when she came on stage, I thought “she’s beautiful”. She was wearing a black, white and grey dress that suited her so well. When she spoke to us she said “bonsoir” and then said she bought a new dress (showing the one she was wearing) because she was in Paris! The audience loved it of course. Then she introduced her musiciens, as brothers, John Evans and Matt Chamberlain.
I was so happy to get “girl” tonight, never heard it live before. I enjoyed the two France-related songs Marys of the sea and Josephine.
I loooooooved the new version of “Icicle” with the drums and bass coming in at “getting of while they’re all downstairs” if I’m not wrong.
The other highlight for Laeti my sister was “Silent all these years” that made her cry. Then I was surprised (in such a good way of course) to be able to hear “Landslide” live too. I think she messed up or forgot the second verse, so she repeated the chorus, or maybe it was an abridged version on purpose, but still it was beautiful and very emotional. Carbon rocked too, with new drums arrangements at some points and the audience got crasy when they recognized “Talula”. The improvisation at the end of “Strong Black Vine” was awsome, hope i’ll find it somewhere!!
And to finish it, raspberry swirl and Big wheel set fire to the Palais des Congrès. I loved the audience’s response to the “gimme 8, 7, 6”: we all clapped our hands. And then it was over:(
What a great show!! I need more!!

    3. RHOmea says:

I have seen Tori several times over the last 15 years and her show at the Palais tonight was, in many ways, one of the best I’ve ever seen.

She was magnificent, resplendent in her new black and white gown over shiny black tights and 6-7 inch spike heels. The hall worried me at first sight but the acoustics were actually quite good and the sound was far better than Jamie Cullum at Carnegie Hall in August.

I’ll leave the set list – we all know what she does and how well so I won’t bore you with the whole show – but must mention what for me were a few of the highlights:

She played an extended version (about 8 minutes) of Precious Things that was one of those transcendent performance moments one is lucky to experience once in 100 concerts. While in the start of the lengthy piano solo, she put her head back and a look of total rapture came over her. Then she proceeded to blow up the Böse with some of the most masterful piano work she has ever performed. The crowd response was insane, utter chaos, and believe me, the French are not the type to get that worked up easily.

Her solo songs at the piano were no less powerful: moving myself, my wife and several others around us (both M & F) to tears with SATY, a heartbreaking cover of Landslide followed by Baker Baker which saw Tori well up a bit at the end too (I had binoculars in the 25th row ‘-)

Over all the show was more hard rock than usual… like some one had compared her to Kate Bush again before the show ‘-)
TTTSky was roaring, Strong Black Vine? Jeezzus… dark and insidious, feverish and finished up leaving the crowd in a frenzy when Tori added some lurid lyrics (not heard TMK since the Atlanta show). Effin incredible!!!

To top it off, we brought some complete Tori Virgins with us who were, understandably, BLOWN AWAY having never heard of Tori before tonight. (I know, can U imagine?)

Do you remember your first time?

Well the next best thing is sharing someone else’s… watching them rapt in a mixture of disbelief and joy.

To all who have tickets in Antwerp, Germany, Poland and OZ, I am very happy for you (and a little envious too).

Tori Amos is a gift from the gods.

    4. AshleyM says:

This was my final of three shows. I went to Rome, Milan and Paris. Three very different shows, all amazing in their own right.

Rome – Met Tori at the Meet and Greet. Was tired from travelling for nearly a full day and couldn’t contain myself. Told her I flew in from South Africa, she hugged me(a big one!!), I started crying(idiot!!). Told her that I would also make the Milan and Paris shows and as I walked away she asked me if i had any requests. I said Police me and Cruel(neither happened on my little trip, but I am not too upset about that). Rome was also special because it was my worst seat for the tour and I got upgraded to front row centre. Thanks Mindy(who said “Tori wanted you to have this” and Steve(although you say you didn’t have a hand in it, I know you wanted to give me this experience and I am so grateful for it). I’m not going to talk about the setlists because every song was a highlight.

Milan – Ok I must correct myself. Where Rome was great for the first time experience Milan was great because of the setlist. You can read for yourself and understand why it was so good. There was no meet and greet here, but I arrived in Milan too late to make a meet and greet anyway.

Paris – Paris was bittersweet. Got to the meet and greet and probably waited in line for about an hour and the line of people who could see Tori was cut off just before me and Claudia(from the Netherlands who’ve never met Tori). That was sad. To have come all this way and literally be where the line was cut was harsh! But I still had the show and it was amazing and sad to see Tori for the last time this year.

To all the lovely people I have met. You rock.

Rami(Lebanon), Steve, Marla, Rachel, Heather, Ian, Chrissy(??), Adrian(all from the UK), Claudia, Sherin(both from the Netherlands) Thank you for making this experience magical and see you all in two years time!!! If I left anyone out I am very sorry!!

    5. jaybees says:

So , I have meet Tori for the first time of my life at the meet and great in Paris and it was so magically.
Well, the concert was so beautiful ….
Strong, dark and magic…. really surprised by smokey joe
      crying in Girl and Landslide
and a terrible version of strong black vine and precious things
This night tori was very beautiful with her new dress , specialy buy for Paris …
For me , who have seen Tori in Paris since 2001 …. it was the great concert that she played in France with the olympia in 2001

    6. Humb Mendes says:

Hey guys. After 11 years waiting I finally got to see Tori live! Me and a friend had never seen her because she’s never been to Portugal. I screamed, I laughed, danced and cried a lot. I suppose people around me weren’t too bothered because they understood this was a big deal to me.
So, I promised myself I would never miss another tour. And I won’t. I promise!

The show was spectacular! I thought a lot about my sister during many of the songs. So I want to make this public: I dedicate this show to my sister. I love her very very much.

As for opinions and highlights, I’ll keep them for myself… :-D

    7. Erikwithak says:

It was great to hear Baker Baker and Josephine again .Landslide brought back some great memories of the Springfield 98 concert. Hi Lisa!

    8. Stephane says:

The concert was ok, not the best one I have seen of Tori but still good. However, if you were sitting at the front, you’ll probably agree with me that the sound was RUBBISH, i was hearing the drums from the stage and not the speakers… Tori’s piano was drown when the guys were playing. After Talula when we stood up in front of stage, it was even worse, I could hear the pick hitting the strings… My friend and I decided to move to the back of the venue and the sound was amazing… Such a pity , it has ruined my concert :( next time in this venue I’ll sit at the back of the venue…
The crowd really enjoyed the show… Tori apart from Bonsoir Paris, said nothing else… pity

    9. Carl Laven says:

Oh my God that was the most amazing show, finally got to meet Tori for the first time at the meet and greet and she was lovely.

The highlights for me where Girl, Josephine, Take to the Sky, Baker Baker and Strong Black Vine was just mindblowing xo

    10. bebopnjazz says:

Great show – Tori’s performance in Paris reminds me of a line from Steely Dan’s ‘Josie’:
“She prays like a Roman with her eyes on fire…”
well Tori PLAYED with her eyes on fire the other night and seemed so completely comfortable in her skin.

I am happy to see her happy and enjoying her life so much that she makes you enjoy it too!

      p.s.
for a rock concert in any hall over 1500 seats, you have to make a choice: be close in front or have good sound. There’s a reason the sound desk is back at the 20-25th row – the sound has to be good for the whole house, not just the first 5 rows!!!

    11. Melodie says:

Hey, I loooved the show too, my fav song is Concertina annd i didn’t stop crying during the whole song.
