Wow, this was a sexy show! Grrrr! Tori looked and sounded gorgeous, was happy to be in Birmingham, mentioned Tash starting school today. Funny bit where her ear piece went wrong and incorporated it into the song, to great applause!
Lovely atmosphere and great set list.
I love her so much! xx

Brill show, still slightly overwhelmed at hpow good Precious Things was.x
Matt & Jenn says:
Jenn and I are the two Canadians who were at Manchester and Birmingham. Both shows were great! The crowd in Birmingham was really lame – barely anyone clapped, smiled, or cheered (aside from the regulars) One guy behind us was even asleep by the 3rd song. we would be surprised if she ever goes back there again. We will both be at the shows in London so c'mon gang let’s rock out and have fun – Tori feeds off our energy.
That being said, the show was awesome. I got my request (Sister Janet) prefaced by a gorgeous snippit of Leaving on a Jet Plane. Cloud on my tongue was the best I’ve heard. Other highlights were little earthquakes, playboy mommy, and pandoras aquarium (the grannies around us didn’t appreciate our cheers for this one – one lady even covered her ears!) Big Wheel is a super fun closer!!

My first show of the tour and wow… brilliant. I wasn’t even aware there were no debuts because the setlist was so freaking awesome and she still pulled quite a few surprises. Even if expected hearing Playboy Mommy was such a big treat for me as it’s one of my favorites. Little Earthquakes and Pandora were awe-inducing and I couldn’t believe the raw energy she unleashed during Talula, Precious Things and Strong Black Vine. The later was a very unique one as her sound got turned off and she had to make a sexy-as-hell improv while the sound guy changed her pack.
All in all an unforgettable show and one of the most amazing acoustics ever.

Fab show… I’ve seen her about 30 times now in concert… Just when I think I might be getting bored I remember why I love her so much.
The Birmingham Symphony Hall is absolutely beautiful with crystal clear sound – I’m so glad she decided to play here!
She was on fine form tonight – very minx-y, smiley, raunchy, sexy…
I thought the audience took a while to warm up but we got there in the end.
She seemed genuinely sad when she mentioned Tash going back to school, and kind of seemed to retreat to her piano for Leaving on a Jet Plane and Cloud on my Tongue.
Playboy Mommy was perfect, Siren and Take to the Sky rocked, Your Cloud reminded me just how fucking amazing that song is…Talula was a huge surprise…
She didn’t seem to sing all of Precious Things. Is that a new thing?
Losing her ear-piece in Strong Black Vine was hilarious – and as always she made a big fun joke out of it. It’s a shame it was so near to the end of the show though, as we were all building to our climaxes!

Have to agree with Adele, I was so happy when she played Precious Things, I have been talking about it ever since!
Carbon was also a treat, Cornflake Girl and Playboy Mummy! She looked so sexy. Wish I was seeing her again on this tour, she is on fire! xx

Just a few thoughts…
Back on form without a doubt. After what I thought was a disappointing “taster” at the London Savoy show, Tori is back to her usual brilliant self.
Highlights (in no particular order)…
- the long intro’s of the live versions seem to improve the songs and some of the arrangements are better than the album versions (eg Bouncing Off Clouds).
- the story of her last visit to Birmingham, where she missed the show due to her driver being “coke-d up” and getting lost in Wales.
- looking at Matt on drums – he must have the best job in the world – as he looks like he’s jamming along, enjoying himself, with a smile on his face the whole time.
- when Tori sang Playboy Mommy and gave a huge smile as she sang the “Birmingham” line.
- the sheer Piano-craft of Siren was superb.
- the energy of Take To The Sky was for once transferred to the audience as numerous people clapped along as Tori hit the Bo.
- the standout song (for me, anyway) was Precious Things. The extended version was amazing and the lighting effects added to the spectacle. Even with the absence of the usual “Giiiiiirl”, replaced by a snappy/short “Girl” and a raised hand, it didn’t detract from how good this one was. It was easily good enough to be the show stopper, although it looks like on this tour, the closer is always “Strong Black Vine”.
- the improv of the earpiece was amusing in that she just carried on as the sound guy was frantically trying to fix the wires/box, and then appeared in a panic as to where to attach it to Tori’s back.
- Re the setlist, Caught A Lite Sneeze was the first song of the encore.
- lastly, is it me, or is it unusual for Tori to have to Bo lid closed? I’m sure it’s usually open.
Overall – a belting performance, great playlist and good to see her back with the band.

amazing show, sister janet was a highlight as with pandoras aquarium. precious things didnt have a drawn out grrrrrrrrrlll yet it was still one of the best versions iv ever seen/heard, the lighting for it and the extended solo were breathtaking.
Elfy says:
I can only imagine that Matt & Jon were high on something so everything else seemed slow round them.
I was in the stalls and people round me were going crazy all through the show.
They just weren’t screaming all through the song as they wanted to hear Tori and not themselves! <eye roll>
You guys! lol
Carl says:
fanatstic show, Tori was amazing as ever, a few over excited people in the front row but at least they weer enjoying the show, you can tell the English from the Americans lol.
Take to the sky was amazing, and Pandoras Aquarium and Playboy Mommy were spectacular.
