Tori’s set begins at 11:30 PM local time on the Pyramid Marquee stage.

The Werchter Festival was streamed online. Tori’s set was supposed to have been webcast but only the last half of “Precious Things”, the final song, was shown on the public low bit-rate stream. The private high-bitrate stream, only available to Belgacom ADSL customers, appears to have shown the entire show.

    1. Cherman says:

The show was simply AMAZING! Pip was in top-shape (and incredibly sexy, might I add!) and Tori performed some of her best songs ever… I can’t really mention any highlights, because the whole set was one big highlight; I was most surprised about the great response “Big Wheel” received from the audience; éveryone seemed to know that song!
Anyway, pity for the ones who weren’t there; you’ve missed an incredible concert!

Pip and Tori were ON FIRE in Belgium! I was already impressed with Pip’s energy in Amsterdam, but at Rock Werchter, she was even more agressive and angry. May I say I sometimes even found her a bit scary?

The whole Pip setlist was amazing. She actually did ‘Cruel’ without the keyboard most of the time, she only touched it like 2 times in the entire song. ‘Teenage Hustling’ was an instant highlight. During ‘Fat Slut’ she accidently dropped her microphone in all her angriness. ‘Body And Soul’ was great as always and ‘The Waitress’ was BEYOND amazing (very Plugged Tour-esque!) and she ended with a middle finger which everybody seemed to like, judging from the loud cheering.

After the ‘Professional Widow (Remix)’ she came out as Tori again. During ‘Big Wheel’ she actually let the crowd sing the lines ‘Don’t U 4 Get’, it was amazing! ‘Cornflake Girl’ was another highlight for many since it’s her biggest hit. ‘Secret Spell’ worked VERY well live; much better than the album version in my opinion. ‘God’ was one of my personal favorites, ‘Bouncing Off Clouds’ got the whole crowd dancing and clapping (Jon Evans really seemed to be into this song by the way), ‘Code Red’ was kinda standard and ‘Precious Things’ was the best I’ve heard so far!

Tori was really full of energy at Werchter and one of the highlight of the Festival for sure!

Tori did an amazing job in Werchter. She started the show as a convincing Pip. It was a surprise to hear The Waitress, but I don’t think that anyone had a problem with that :-)

Big Wheel sounded really good, and Tori let the audience sing “don’t you forget” after she sang “M-I-L-F”. That moment was definitely a highlight. Secret Spell and Bouncing Off Clouds were other highlights for me, and Precious Things ended the show in a perfect way.

It was really a shame that the show only lasted for 70 minutes. It was pure magic to see and hear Tori. I’m still excited about it.

    4. Bart (Mitholas) says:

My very first Tori show and it was an instant hit. Opening with Cruel KILLED me as that was one of the three songs I’d vicariously wished for (Cruel/Waitress/Siren). I was freaking out on a level I never knew I could freak out on. The atmosphere was phenomenal, everyone was psyched. She walked up to the mic and immediately, we knew this was going to be a fantastic show. Everything about her just rayed out this.. I can’t describe it.. this sort of emotion of angst and in-concert-mood. Fantastic!

I’ve not like ANY bootlegs I’ve heard of Teenage Hustling, but being there live like that.. it was absolutely fantastic.

Fat Slut was intense, but as she accidentally hit the mic against the side of the bosey, it actually became a bit funny. It was like “To be stuck in your, your happy BOCK.. don’t you dare I said..”.

Bliss.. amazing as always. I now adore the part where she sings “ a hot kachina who wants into mine/take it take it with your terra-terracide and I said..” even more, and that was already my favourite part of the song. HOT!

I was also thrilled to hear the pre-recorded vocals for Body and Soul, as they were missing from the Provinssirock version (Finland).

The Waitress. I’m still speechless from it. Simply orgasmic.

The PW remix is extremely fun to hear, I must say. Very good to dance around on a little bit (though you need to be careful not to hit anyone).

Big Wheel was veeery warmly welcomed by the audience. It was unbelievable how much the floor was shaking with all the people jumping around and stuff. Sadly, the girl next to me became sick, so that was a bit scary as I was afraid she might get trampled. She left a bit later in the show, so I think she’s okay, though. The audience singing “Don’t You Forget” was the bomb.

Cornflake Girl was.. Cornflake Girl. No need to add anything to that.

Secret Spell was really fun! I’ve definitely found new appreciation for it.

God was great! Whenever the chorus would end, and the silence would kick in for a second.. it was so amazing to hear the piano kick in again. And loudly! I could litterally FEEL the piano growl at those moments. The audience loved it!

Bouncing Off Clouds, I was so glad she played it. I freaked out a little. This song is very personal to me, so that was another emotional highlight (together with Cruel and The Waitress).

Code Red was ok, but nothing special really. I did like the red lights ‘searching’ the audience during the chorus, though.

I also now remember why Precious Things is a religious experience. I’m veeeery happy that she played it. The show wouldn’t have been complete without it.

In short I’d like to quote what I said in a text message I sent to some friends.

I died and went to heaven.

ps. I’d just like to say that I thought it was really cute how everyone applauded when the Bosey was rolled in. Crowd went a little wild just then.

    5. Jill says:

The energy at this show was amazing. Tori was on fire – she came out as Pip and belted out every song; even more so than she has been on this tour. I’m talking growling!

I was so excited to see them set up the mic for Cruel – I hadn’t heard it this tour and it was such a great performance. I think she’s getting more and more used to facing the crowd when singing that song, because she seemed very much into rubbing herself and dancing, whereas she seemed a little uncomfortable standing there in those first videos.

Bliss was awesome, and Waitress was a great surprise. It was amazing. She did at least 4 or 5 “ibelieveshe’sthedevilbitch” verses, and she was hang ten-ing forever too.

Big Wheel has really become one of my favorite songs out of the staples to see live – it’s always so much fun, and it definitely was last night. The whole crowd was jumping up and down and clapping.

All in all, it was a really amazing show. She didn’t go on until 11:30pm, but the late hour didn’t seem to bother her (or anyone in the crowd) at all. It was the most energetic I’ve seen her this tour, and that’s saying A LOT.

    6. Inge says:

Really really amazing gig. I especially loved the fact how you can tell how she actually becomes Pip when she puts on that dress and wig. She came on stage, almost knocked a crew guy over, and when she left the stage (walking like her shoes hurt her feet) she scratched her behind. Very funny to see Miss Amos scratching her bum.

She got a bit too enthusiastic and during Fat Slut the mic fell off the stand, but she caught it and handled it very well. No one needed to come out to fix it, she fixed it herself as the boys were playing the intro to Bliss. Little Miss DIY ;)

A festival gig is not as intimate as a concert of course, but she rocked the place! Festival was great, Tori was great!

    7. Shireen says:

Pip was really, really pissed, which worked amazingly well, she was whipping the spit off her face, turning her head so sweat flew off. It definitely seemed that after she dropped the mic (or it turned, I missed half of it) she was more pissed off then before, which resulted in an exceptional Waitress.

Tori’s set was full of life and I enjoyed every minute of it.

    8. linda says:

it was the 6th time that I saw tori in Belgium (and the second time at rock werchter)...as usual she was great, amazing, sensual and very sexy…

great performance…also thanks to jon and matt an to the “new” young guitarist…who were great too…this fabulous evening…

      see you soon dear tori…
