What an awesome setlist, very ‘Little Earthquakes’and ‘Under the Pink’ heavy but that’s not a bad thing :) Tori was in a playful mood and was slightly late coming on, tapping her wrist and shuffling towards the Bosendorfer. An improv about trouble with leather pants seemed to be the cause of the lateness. ‘Forest of Glass’ was a nice surprise but ‘Nothing Else Matters’ was nothing short of fantastic. Other highlights were ‘Little Earthquakes’, ‘Cooling’ and ‘Scarlet’s Walk’. Overall, an excellent evening :)

It should be noted that CALS included the 1996 Nine Inch Nails ‘Hurt’ bridge, and that Cooling was with the rarely played ‘brambles’ bridge – astonishing! (PGY was absolutely fierce with an earth-shaking growl at ‘till my baby’s alriiiiiiiiight’.)

I wholeheartedly echo the comments already posted by John. It really was a fantastic concert – Tori was on very fine form indeed. There was so much love both from the crowd to her and vice versa. She seemed really happy and this came across in her playfulness. It did kinda seem like she’d forgotten she’s just released a new album but what a great setlist! Highlights for me were Parasol, Black Dove, Little Earthquakes, the stunning version of Nothing Else Matters and the awesome surprise of Take to the Sky. Tori also got a respectful and well-deserved standing ovation for the trio of songs she did from Under the Pink as an encore. Most definitely a night to remember. Thank you, Tori :)

I loved the setlist. I thought there was a little bit of everything with some surprises. Highlights for me personally were ‘China’, ‘Moonshadow’ – (loved Tori’s quirky spin on the track – she made it very much her own), ‘Take to the Sky’ and ‘Nothing Else Matters’. The Encore was also well delivered, everyone got to their feet for the ‘Cornflake Girl’. I have always loved Tori Amos’s music, she is a true artist with so much talent. I saw her in 1998 at Glastonbury and vowed to go and see her on tour – last night it happened for me and I’m so pleased I got to share it with a chilled out crowd in Nottingham. Tori delivered in every way – her piano playing and vocal range is nothing short of amazing and she’s good fun who doesn’t take herself too seriously.

My first Tori Amos concert and what a phenomenal performance, I loved all the songs but particular highlights for me were Cooling, Mother and Pretty Good Year. I could not have wished for a better encore (or setlist in general) plus a nice balance between the two covers. Definitely going to see her live again.

Great setlist. By the way, isn’t the song called Black Dove (January) instead of (january Girl)? Just an observation.
[Undented: Oops, yes. Not sure how that slipped by! Corrected]Marty says:
Fantastic show, and great that when she sat down for the encore she said that “we’re going back 20 years now for the next 15 minutes” – very unlike Tori to actually name the date of her stuff, she said it as if it was for someone there? I don’t know. But she should play here more often! Welcome back Tori!
