    Ruud van Melick

“A wizard is never early, nor late; he always arrives precisely when he means to.” — Gandalf

Ruud is our resident tech wizard. He constructs and maintains the technical structure underlying Undented. Among other things, he has been maintaining our server, Hemlock, which also hosts The Dent and ToriThoughts, since 2000.

He got hooked on Tori when he heard “Past the Mission” in 1994; Under the Pink was the second CD he owned. In 1998 he founded What Language? … No, Dutch, a site focused on Tori’s Dutch press.

Born, raised, and still living in the Netherlands, Ruud works in a call center, prefers bicycles to motorized vehicles, and has the uncanny ability to rapidly detect the word “Tori” in a large page of text.
