Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
[Here a Tori, There a Tori is an occasional series of columns in which we round up small mentions of Tori in various media.]
In today’s edition:
Even though it’s not listed on Ticketmaster yet, ToriAmos.com has announced that the on-sale date for the December 11th show at Phoenix’s Dodge Theatre is Saturday, September 22nd.
So, everyone who’s been asking, now you know!
Update: Everything Tori’s latest tour update appears to have had the September 22nd sale date added as well. In addition, they indicate that VIP tickets will be made available for that show, though, as of yet, no details have been announced about VIP packages or pre-sales.
“I find if I stay here too long, then my value system goes Hollywood, and I don’t like that,” he says over tea and a fruit bowl. “You suddenly find yourself living in a universe where it doesn’t matter whether a film was any good or not. What matters is how much it made. It’s very weird.”
Neil Gaiman, currently making the rounds to promote “Stardust,” was recently featured in this San Francisco Chronicle article. Go behind the cut for the full extravaganza.
In the mad rush of tour news over the past few weeks, we’ve overlooked a few things, including this Houston Press review toritattoo sent in. (Hey, they reviewed the album a little late, didn’t they?) Go behind the cut to see the whole thing!
The Washington City Paper is giving away tickets to the October 26th show at D.A.R. Constitution Hall in Washington, DC. To enter that drawing, all you have to do is create a new profile in the City Paper’s personals or add a new photo to an existing profile before August 29th.
Meanwhile, Massachusetts radio station WRNX is giving away a pair of tickets to the October 16th concert at The Oakdale (I’m contractually prevented from referring to it as The Chevrolet Theatre) in Wallingford, CT. You have to be a member of WRNX’s “Listener Advisory Board” (free registration) to win these tickets. If you are, enter the contest here. Thanks to Marci for that tip!
We’re sure there are other ticket giveaways as well so if you come across one, please let us know!
It appears that tickets for the Lawrence, KS concert on Friday, November 9th have already gone on sale at The Lied Center’s website! Decent seats still seem to be available from their allotment. Ticketmaster is also going to be selling tickets for this show starting at Noon CDT today, so if you don’t find any seats from The Lied, try Ticketmaster later today.
Thanks to Katie and Craig Fisher for the heads-up!
Update: Craig points out that orchestra seats are still available from Kansas University Ticketing while the best Ticketmaster has for sale are balcony seats. The Lied’s website actually lets you pick the exact seats from the available pool, which is a nice feature, and you can easily view which sections are sold out as well. It’s also worth mentioning that the Lied’s service fees are significantly lower than Ticketmaster’s.
This is your friendly middle-of-the-night notification to let you know that the general on-sale for Los Angeles [which was originally scheduled for this coming Monday] has been moved to Saturday, September 15th at 10am.
If you do not plan to attend the Los Angeles show and, in fact, have absolutely no idea what this “Los Angeles” is of which I speak, go back to sleep. This was all a dream.
Thanks, Jen!
The Nashville show is on sale now.
The following shows go on general sale tomorrow (Saturday, August 18th):
- Chicago, IL on sale at 11 am
- Lawrence, KS on sale at 10 am
- San Diego, CA on sale at 10 am
- Anaheim, CA on sale at 1pm
Check the Tour section for specifics and help with time zones.
Thanks to Anthony for pointing out that there will be another pre-sale for the Chicago show, according to the latest e-mail newsletter from the concert’s promoter, Jam Productions. The pre-sale starts at 10:00 AM CDT on Friday, August 17th and runs until 10:00 PM Friday night. While Jam’s ticket buying link points to Ticketmaster, there is nothing about this pre-sale on Ticketmaster yet. One would assume that Ticketmaster will add the pre-sale tomorrow morning.
Update: An “Internet Presale” has been added to Ticketmaster’s listing for the Chicago show, starting at 10:00 AM CDT today.
As a reminder, the general sale for the Chicago show starts on Saturday, August 18th at 11:00 AM CDT.
Several folks wrote in saying they’d never received any newsletter from The Grove with the Anaheim All Access pre-sale password. Unfortunately, we hadn’t either. However, Courtney used her noodle and figured it out! It’s DOLL. Ticketmaster is listing it as a general admission show, so not quite as nerve-wracking as the reserved seating concerts, but it’s always good to know you have tickets….
