    Fort Myers and Tickets.com

    Friday, August 10, 2007 | 15:24 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Susie writes in to say that the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall website and Tickets.com seems to be having some issues (though I was just able to pull up a few seats in the orchestra without any problems — don’t worry, I threw them back in the pool for you ticket sharks!). If you run into problems, she recommends calling their customer service number, +1 (239) 481-4849 and pressing 6 to speak with a box office representative. Thanks for that tip!

    On Sale Today (August 10th)

    Friday, August 10, 2007 | 10:33 UTC | Posted by Violet | Touring

Cleveland on general sale at 11am at Tickets.com.

Milwaukee goes on general sale at 12 noon (double check it at 10am, though) at Tickets.com via The Riverside Theatre’s website.

The Ft. Myers show was originally listed as going on general sale Saturday, but the listing on the bbmannpah.com website shows it going on sale at 10am TODAY. (Click the “order tickets” link at the end of the listing.)

    On Ticketmaster:

    • Wallingford on general sale at 10am.
    • Clearwater on general sale at 10am.
    • Orlando on general sale at 12 noon (double check it at 10am, though).

[Note: On Ticketmaster’s complete listings, Denver is showing as going on sale at 09:50am today. We’re pretty sure that must be a boo-boo, because 1) 9:50am is a funky start time, and 2) the actual listing still shows the on-sale as Saturday, August 11th at 10am. Won’t hurt to double-check around 10am today, though.]

Head to the Tour section for more details on individual shows, especially if you need help figuring out time zone differences (just click on dates listed as orange links within the listings).

I hope I caught them all. This is like trying to juggle cats (at 2:30 in the morning, no less).

Take A Tori Survey ... It's For Research!

    Thursday, August 09, 2007 | 21:32 UTC | Posted by Violet | Toriphiles

Okay, so it’s not for cancer research or anything quite so lofty as that, but it’s research on TORI, and we all love Tori!

As part of her PhD research, a researcher at the London School of Economics in the UK is gathering some data from people who listen to Tori Amos, including their use of Tori Amos-related internet forums. Take this opportunity to have your voice heard on some of the issues raised in the survey. The survey should take around 30 minutes to complete, and if you have any questions, contact Deborah.

    Pre-sale: Milwaukee

One more… Shannon adds that the password for the current Milwaukee pre-sale is POSSE.

Bouncing Off Clouds Serviced to Triple A Radio

    Thursday, August 09, 2007 | 19:49 UTC | Posted by woj | Releases,TV/Radio/Web

The Triple A Radio update for the week of August 13th at RadioAndRecords.com indicates that “Bouncing Off Clouds” is being serviced to Triple A radio stations. Keep an eye on R&R’s Triple A chart to see if it gains any airplay. (Interestingly, “Big Wheel” is still hanging on at 30th place on the August 10th chart! Nice!)

    Pre-sales: Vancouver, Portland, Denver

    Thursday, August 09, 2007 | 18:54 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

LiveNation.com sent out an newsletter to their e-mail list (presumably only to those in the Vancouver area) yesterday announcing the Live Nation pre-sale for the December 3rd Vancouver show. The password for the pre-sale is BASS and there are still decent seats available via Ticketmaster.

There are several pre-sales occuring right now for the Portland concert. We’ve heard nothing but trouble about Ticket Rush, mostly about no one ever receiving any confirmation from the site about registration. However, we’ve learned that the password for the Radio pre-sale is KINK and the password for the Protmotions and Special Offers presale is INDIE. There are still tickets available for those pre-sales on Ticketmaster as well.

Finally, Denver radio station KBCO is running a pre-sale for the Denver concert on Friday, August 10th at 10:00 AM MDT. However, you need to be a member of KBCO.com to access this pre-sale. Membership is free and you can sign up on-line. Thanks lisa for that information!

Live in the SF Bay Area? Wanna participate in KFOG’s presale for the Oakland show at 10am today? Head to the KFOG website, click on “Fogheads,” and register. That should do it.

    Neil Spins "Stardust" on NPR

    Thursday, August 09, 2007 | 01:53 UTC | Posted by Beth | Them

Lorna caught Neil Gaiman on NPR today making a pitch for Stardust, which hits the big screen Friday. Although it’s not a long piece, he managed to work in a mention of the fact that the “Tori tree” did not make it into the film. We’re sure it’ll be stellar anyway.

    Santa Barbara Straggler
