Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
Barnes & Noble’s listing for American Doll Posse now includes the track list that was confirmed over the weekend. However, in addition to the 20 songs already listed, there are three tracks at the end: “Posse Bonus,” “Smokey Joe,” and “Dragon.” It’s not exactly clear what these are. They could be tracks on the DVD of the CD/DVD release that Sony BMG Polska lists or just bonus tracks on the CD itself. Also, “Posse Bonus” sounds more like a sub-title rather than a song title and it’s not uncommon for track lists from record labels to number a division between the album and bonus tracks or bonus disc tracks as if it were a song itself.
Thanks to Rabih for the head’s up!
Musician and author Paul Tingen has the first part of an exclusive interview with Tori up on his website. It contains a new glam photo of Tori plus lots of interesting conversation.
We have a special request of Toriphiles on Paul’s behalf: if you want to share this article with friends, please link to Paul’s website rather than posting the full text of his article on your sites and blogs. Paul worked many days on this and one reason Tori granted him this exclusive interview — in which she speaks about ADP for the first time in any detail — was to support Paul’s website and work. We realise our saying this may not have any effect, but you know … if’n you enjoy the article and appreciate it being offered for free, doesn’t hurt to show the love. Just sayin’.

ToriAmos.com says tickets will be available from concerts.at and they list the show on their artist page for Tori. However, keep an eye on concerts.si and Ticketline Slovenia as well (the latter allows you to subscribe to a Tori Amos newsletter and appears to be the ticketing agency that concerts.si actually uses for selling).
Sony BMG Polska has a little blurb about American Doll Posse which indicates that album’s release date in Poland will be April 30th and that there will be a CD/DVD version of the album released as well. (The page is not linkable but if you search for Tori on the artist page, the information will turn up.) At this time, we have no information about what would be on that DVD though or how widely available it would be.
Additionally, following in the footsteps of HMV, most online music retailers (all the Amazons, Barnes & Noble, WOM.de, and undoubtedly others—but not, interestingly, bad-boys Buecher who, some may recall, posted clips of A Piano before they were supposed to) have added listings for the album and some area already taking pre-orders. Keep in mind that early listings will generally be full-price but prices should come down as the release date gets closer.
Pitchfork reports (you decide!) that Parenthetical Girls recorded a cover of “Jackie’s Strength” for a split 7” (remember those?) on Obsolete Vernacular Records. The single will be available for sale on their tour with The Dead Science but you can stream the song now on Obsolete Vernacular’s myspace.
The edition of Liz Smith’s column published in the, as I understand it, March 9th edition of the Star-Ledger included this little blurb:
Fans of singer Tori Amos—emotionally intense cult star deluxe—can expect a new album coming in April, titled “American Doll Posse.” And Tori has a real doll posse working with her on this disc—four well-known female musicians. One is brunette, two are blonde and there’s a redhead too. Amos won’t give out the names, but insists they are “trailblazers, representing the many facets of a woman.”
The erroneous release date for the album aside, this is quite intriguing and the first we’ve heard about potential collaboration on this record. Are these fellow songwriters? Or just session musicians? Or perhaps personas that she is assuming for some of the songs?
I have not been able to find an on-line copy of the article, despite the fact that Smith’s column is syndicated to many newspapers, but jump the cut to see a scan of the article, thanks to bonnie77. Thanks also to Fabz for alerting us to this tidbit as well!

Let the happydancing commence.
Several people have written in to say there’s a new song, “Secret Spill” [sic], up on everyone’s favorite site, Promosquad. None of us here have been able to pull it up, but enough people have written about it that we we wanted to mention it so that those of you with full heads of hair can go looking for it. We don’t have any left to tear out.
As part of their celebration of Women’s History Month, Pittsburgh radio station WYEP will be airing a series of “Saturday Specials” focusing on women in music. Tori will be subject of the third of the five programs. The company she’s in isn’t too shabby either as the other four shine the spotlight on Patti Smith, The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, the Indigo Girls and the Dixie Chicks. Tori’s special airs at 1:00 PM Eastern on Saturday, March 17th.
Pittsburgh locals can tune in WYEP on 91.3 FM and everybody else can stream the station live over the Internet.
Thanks to Kimberly for the head’s up about this!
Note, too, that the day before, WYEP will broadcast their countdown of the Top 50 Women in Music at 2:00 PM Eastern. One reckons that a women who gets her own Saturday Special may also turn up in the countdown as well….
