Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
Even though Computicket is still listing two shows at the Theatre Of Marcellus at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg, both of which are “on hold”, the venue’s website (scroll down a bit) indicates that there will be three performances on Saturday, November 12th, a matinee on Sunday, November 13th and Monday, November 14th. Tickets for all three shows were being sold briefly earlier but are not currently available and slated to go back on-sale at 1:00 PM local time on Wednesday, September 7th.
Given that the poster for the events shows only the concerts on the 12th and 13th, we’re guessing that the Monday performance was an optional date but it seems that has since been added since the venue does list it.
We’d also expect the Cape Town concert to go on sale soon even though it is not currently listed at the Grand West’s website.
Thanks to elasia, Martin and @RKGraeme for the heads up!
Ticket vendor Computicket is listing several Tori Amos concerts in South Africa in November!
There are three shows listed: Saturday November 12th and Sunday November 13th at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg and Thursday, November 17th at the Grand Arena in Cape Town. All three are currently listed with a status of “Hold” so the shows are NOT confirmed and tickets are not on sale. Neither of the venue’s websites list these shows either.
Should these concerts come to pass, this would mark the first time that Tori performs in South Africa. Hopefully, this turns out to be the case!
Thanks to Nicotine Love for the tip on the Tweeter!
English musician Mark Hole, a former self-described “hyperactive and erratic boy” who grew up to become a guy who “just wants to play the piano and sing,” will apparently be opening the European leg of Tori’s Night of Hunters tour. His music is fun, dramatic, whimsical, and, yes, piano-based. Swing on over to his site to dig a few sample tracks from his debut album, F-Sharp. Thanks to Maciej for sending us Mark’s tweet.
According to the concert itinerary on The Appollon Musagete’s website, they will be accompanying Tori for all of the dates on the European and North American legs of the Night of Hunters tour. Given their involvement in the album and the fact that they’re just a quartet makes for a natural fit though what, exactly, this means for the concerts on this tour remains to be seen. Hopefully, there’ll be more details surfacing about the tour soon.
ToriAmos.com has noted on the Night of Hunters tour listing that there will be a pre-sale for the Austin concert starting Thursday, August 4th at 10:00 AM Central. The password to access the pre-sale is HUNTERS.
Good luck!
As expected, the University of Texas Performing Arts Center has finally confirmed that Tori will be performing at Bass Concert Hall on December 21st. Tickets are slated to go on sale on Friday, August 5th at Noon Central.
At this time, there does not appear to be a pre-sale but tickets may be made available to the Texas Inner Circle prior to the public sale date.
Thanks to Whirljack and the others who caught this before we had a chance to check today!
This week’s ticket sales round out today with four general sales, in order of when they start:
Good luck to all!
This leaves the show at Austin’s Bass Concert Hall as the sole show on the North American tour that has not gone on sale yet. Several people have said that they saw it listed on Ticketmaster but that it has been since removed. While we didn’t actually see that listing, tickets to all shows at the University of Texas Performing Arts Center venues are sold through their own box office, with online sales being handled by evenue.net. So, while the show has not yet been added to their calendar yet, we do expect it to appear there before the August 5th sale date advertised by ToriAmos.com, with a purchase link added once tickets are on sale.
We’ll keep an eye on that — and also Ticketmaster just in case — and let everyone know when the listing is added.
Today’s sales for the North American Night of Hunters are as follows, in order of when they start:
There are four pre-sales being held on Thursday, July 28th: Atlanta, Philadelphia, Toronto and Oakland. Details are outlined below:
Keep an eye here and on Twitter for updates as they come in.
The first round of North American Night of Hunters tour dates go on sale this week. As there are only four shows in this batch — Washington, Chicago, Vancouver and Seattle — the ticket terror will hopefully not be too stressful…but if not, the next two weeks should take care of that!
Here’s how this week’s presales and general sales play out. As we get new details in, we’ll update this article, show listings in Tour and update the information on Twitter.
