    News: Future Plans

Posted by Violet on Sunday, May 14, 2006 | Site News

We want to thank you all so much for the kind words you’ve been sending our way. It has been an intensely nerve-wracking last few weeks, trying to get this site off the ground in such a short period of time.

Our goal was not to create the glossiest site, the most glamorous site, or the site with the most bells & whistles, but rather a site that would do the job we set out to do: making it easy for Toriphiles to find reliable news and content on clean relatively-pleasant pages that would work well across all platforms. If we’d had more time, this site would look different, but for now it’s just right for us.

What you currently see here on Undented is a small fraction of the site (just the News section). We have many more site areas in the works that we hope will make Undented more fun for you.

    • We will have a photo gallery (TNT: “Toriphiles ‘n Tori”). The future of the current EWF Gallery is uncertain since it is hosted at another domain that was donating space, but we will do what we can to preserve it in some way.
    • We will have a links page where you can list your own Tori Amos sites.
    • Polls!
    • We will have a full tour section with all the information we can possibly cram into it. woj and I will still be running the Tori Tour mailing lists, so it will be easier than ever for us to get tour info out to you as it comes in.
    • Toriphiles who want to take a more hands-on approach will have the opportunity to submit news in a way they never could on the Dent: by becoming freelance authors. logging in on Undented, and preparing news items for publication on the site under their own bylines.

    Oh, just lots of things.

But right now, it’s just wonderful to have received such positive response from the community and to have had a couple of days that feel somewhat normal again. Getting here has been quite a journey. Lots more work ahead.
