Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
We previously reported, courtesy of the itinerary on Matt Chamberlain’s website, that Tori would be making two appearances on late night television here in the States this week. However, as it turns out, according to Everything Tori, she’ll be making one at the end of this week and another at the start of the first week in June.
The appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will be, as advertised, on Friday, May 22nd but the appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson won’t be broadcast until Monday, June 1st.
Set your DVRs or just wait for the inevitable video clips on YouTube — at least until the copyright cops find ‘em. Clips of both appearances should end up on each program’s website as well.
I think that it was a really sexy idea, I thought, that to survive a time now [when] nothing’s abundant, everything is bleak, everybody’s pennypinching, that the way to survive destruction is to “out-create” it, so I think the idea was when everybody wants to take, “No, don’t don’t try to take – you give”
Drowned In sound has a new interview with Tori by Catherine AD in which they discuss the various themes of Abnormally Attracted to Sin — power, attraction, sin, sexuality and womanhood — in both great detail and in a tone that’s hasn’t really been touched upon in previous interviews.
While the interview on Drowned In Sound is abbreviated, the full transcript of their conversation can be found on Catherine AD’s MySpace blog.

ITN Music has posted a short interview with Tori where she talks about the new record and the single, “Welcome To England.” The clip is also on the YouTube (from where we embed it here):
Thanks to velvet for catching this!
Not to be out-done by BBC Television, BBC Radio will be having Tori in a couple times next week as well.
First, she’ll be in the BBC 6 Music Hub on George Lamb’s program on Wednesday, May 27th at 10:00 AM BST.
The next day, Thursday May 28th at 8:00 PM BST, she’ll be visiting Radcliffe and Maconie on Radio 2.
Both stations stream online via the BBC iPlayer. In addition, Radio 2 is available on FM, DAB radio, and digital TV while 6 Music is otherwise only available on DAB radio and digital TV. And if you miss either appearance, they’ll be available for on-demand streaming for a week after the air-date.
Thanks to Danny for the tip!
First and foremost, we’ve gotten word that the US iTunes pre-sale passwords will be e-mailed on May 25th. Turns out the page about the promotion within the iTunes store said that explicitly. Since the offer ended, the page was taken down so no one could double-check there.
Second, we’re told that the UK pre-sale passwords should be sent on Friday, May 22. Meanwhile, Ticketmaster.co.uk has added listings for the Glasgow and London shows with the London listing showing a pre-sale on Saturday, May 23rd at 10:00 AM. That all ties together nicely, so UK iTunes pre-orderers, keep an eye on your inbox on Friday.
In other news, LiveNation.dk has added a listing for the Copenhagen concert, where tickets slated to go on sale on Saturday, May 25th. Velvet also found an article on Kulturplakaten which says tickets will be sold through Billetlugen.dk. However, Rikke points out a listing for the Copenhagen concert on BILLETnet.dk which is the exclusive ticketing vendor for the Royal Opera , so that looks to be the actual site to purchase tickets for this show from.
Finally, at the risk of causing a heart attack, we note that the Toronto listing has been removed from Live Nation. What this means, we do not know.
We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the iTunes/Ticketmaster pre-sale promotions. Most of the questions being asked have been addressed at one point or another over the past week but details like that can easily get lost in the torrent of news, articles, reviews that get posted on the site so here’s a quick summary of what we know that will, hopefully, clear some things up for those with questions:
With all that said, we hasten to point out that we are not the authority on this stuff. Ultimately, that would be some combination of Tori’s management, iTunes and Ticketmaster. We know iTunes and Ticketmaster have been playing a game of pass-the-buck when folks have been calling them so it is frustrating to find anything concrete out about this. Nevertheless, we’re pretty sure that the points above are, to the best of our knowledge, accurate.
And rest assured: soon as we hear that the pre-sale passwords have started to arrive, we’ll be sure alert the troops…
Fiona noticed that Tori is going to be one of the guests on Something For The Weekend, a cooking show with a decidedly talk show bent on BBC Two (the television channel, not the radio station, in case you’re wondering.) The programme airs at 10:00 AM BST on Sunday, May 24th and should be available for streaming for a week after the airdate on the BBC iPlayer.
Several people report having seen a commercial on American television advertising today’s release of Abnormally Attracted to Sin. The spot included a bit of the “Welcome to England” video and mentioned the bonus DVD in the deluxe edition. We’ve heard that it was aired during The View and also on Lifetime TV, so it would be surprising to see it pop up in similar shows over the next few days as well. Thanks Scott!
And when you’re changing the show every night, that means you can’t just sit back and do crack…
Good advice for all you wannabe rock gods and pop starlets taken from this article in Billboard where Tori addresses the upcoming tour. Probably not a bad idea if you plan on following her around on tour as well, now that we think about it.
Thanks to Chris M for the tip!
I’m fascinated by people’s definitions of sin. Sometimes I think the greatest sin is intolerance of other people’s choices. There isn’t the compassion and openness you think there would be in a spiritual belief system.
This short interview appeared in the May 17th edition of the New York Post. After talking at length about the song “Maybe California,” they move onto the album and her upbringing.
