Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
Wears The Trousers, a UK-based music magazine and website, has the first published evaluation of Abnormally Addicted to Sin. Written by long-time contributors Alan Pedder and Alex Ramon, they take on the record at great length and great thought and their perspective is quite interesting to digest. Thanks to roel for the link!
Lest anyone think that we here at Undented are only about dusty, cobwebby old media, we hasten to point out that bloggers had their fingers in the SXSW pie (so to speak) as well.
While heavy-weight Brooklyn Vegan appears to have ignored Tori since the publication of Comic book Tattoo, Stereogum posted about the show, generating the usual quota of comments for and against Ms. Amos. Somewhat less known music blogs Music Justice and Have You Heard also attended the show and had good things to say about Tori’s performance.
Perhaps most interestingly though, Ann Powers, who helps co-wrote Piece by Piece with Tori, blogged about her SXSW experience and devoted several paragraphs to the showcase:
LiveDaily reviewed Tori’s showcase at SXSW in most favorable terms. Make sure to swing by their website for a slideshow of rather nice close-up photos taken at the show too. Thanks to orfeo for the link!
SXSW Review: Tori Amos at La Zona Rosa
Published March 20, 2009 03:03 PM

Tori Amos would have had the crowd at La Zona Rosa eating out of the palm of her hand Thursday night (3/19)—if not for the fact that both of her hands were far too busy doing other things during her stellar performance.
As we know, Spinner was in attendance at Tori’s showcase set at SXSW last night and they posted this short review in the wee hours of this morning… Thanks to Ash-Blaize for the link!
Tori Amos Seduces SXSW
“It’ good to see some familiar faces,” Tori Amos said from the stage at her SXSW performance Thursday night at Austin’s La Zona Rosa. “I’ve missed you guys.” Judging by the wealth of screams and flashing bulbs — not to mention an unabashedly enthusiastic introduction by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton — the feeling was mutual.
Between the late publish date (presumably due to the break between semesters) and our post-tour lull, we somehow missed this review of the Santa Barbara concert, despite the fact that Kimberly told us about it! The review appeared in the January 10th edition of The Daily Nexus, the University of California at Santa Barbara’s student newspaper.

The Santa Barbara Independent’s Jessica Hilo caught Tori at the Arlington Theatre and offers this report. Cheers, Kimberly!
The Los Angeles Times‘ calendarlive.com writer Mikael Wood offers his take on the final night of the American Doll Posse Tour. Many thanks to Alex P and Kimberly for sending this in.
Corey Scholibo’s review of the final night of the tour in Los Angeles was published on Advocate.com on December 17th. It’s another “confessional” review, but that seems only appropriate for a “confessional” songwriter.
While it may be more appropriate to post this as a comment in the Tour section, malingering’s review of the Nokia Theatre show on LAist is a pretty interesting angle on Tori’s current performance from the perspective of a (forgive the Catholic terminology) semi-lapsed fan. Plus, there are a few photos as well. Check it out….
NME’s Los Angeles peeps were attendance at last night’s show at the Nokia and penned a review for the British magazine’s website. After reading it, we have to say that while they’ve described the show fairly well, we’re not really sure if they liked it!
Thanks to roel and Kimberly for the link!
