Just a quick reminder that Tori is on Weekend Wogan with Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2 this morning, Sunday, May 18th. The two hour program is about half-way through as this is written so Tori will be on during the second half of the show (the other guest, the cast of We Will Rock You, were on during the first half).
Catch it live if you can but don’t fret if you can’t! The whole show will be archived for the next week and available to listen to on BBC iPlayer.
Update: The appearance just ended. Between chatting with Terry Wogan about the new album and her time at The Peabody, she played “Trouble’s Lament” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.” Not a bad way to spend a Sunday! The program should be on iPlayer later today is up on iPlayer and available to stream until next Sunday. The in-studio starts around the 1 hour 25 minute mark. We wouldn’t be surprised to see some portion appear in the Weekend Wogan podcast as well.
Update: The BBC has added this as a clip:
The morning after the triumphant concert at the O2 Apollo the night before, Tori swung by the BBC Manchester studios for a quick spot on Becky Want’s program today. After reviewing the previous night’s show — and the proper method to request songs — they discussed Unrepentant Geraldines, family life at home and on the road, “Promise,” the duet with Tori’s daughter Tash that appears on the album, and the big 5-0. “Trouble’s Lament” also got a little airplay.
The program is available on iPlayer for the next seven days with Tori’s segment starting around the 30 minute mark.
Give it a listen before it falls off the Internet next Monday!
Here’s a fun interview with Tori from Télérama.fr in which the questions are presented to her on pink post-its stuck to the table in front of her. More monologue than interview, she answers questions ranging from “What kind of feminist are you?” to “What song makes you cry?” and takes the opportunity to riff on the ideas each question puts forth. Inevitably, this leads to responses in the same vein as other interviews but also frees her to talk about these topics without an interviewer shepherding her along and some magic moments shine forth!
The French LGBT website Yagg interviewed Tori during the promotional tour in France and, on the day Unrepentant Geraldines was released in France, posted two video clips of their discussion with her.
Interspersed with behind-the-scenes footage of the photo shoots for the album artwork, a rather animated Tori talks about being unrepentant, feminism, the state of women in the music industry both for those trying to break in and those trying to maintain their careers, and the line between shock and subversion.

Tori was on Breakfast on BBC One this morning to chat about the ongoing UK tour and Unrepentant Geraldines. While this television appearance did not include a live performance, it did include a brief snippet of the just-finished “Trouble’s Lament” video! Check it out below!
Just a quick update to point out that the complete archive of this past weekend’s On connaît la musique is available for streaming. Three live songs were aired — “Trouble’s Lament,” “Crucify,” and “Selkie” — as well as two overdubbed interview segments. The session is broken up into two pieces — one near the beginning of the program around the 6 minute mark and the other around the middle around the 49 minute mark.
Thanks to @Pandoraquarium for pointing out this video interview with Tori on the French website aufeminin.com during which she fields questions about the new album, influences, her relationship with daughter, and the visual arts.
ORF’s Zeit im Bild ran a small news piece on Tori and the release of the new album. Thanks to Universal Music Austria for posting the clip on Youtube for our enjoyment!
The interview recorded with NPR’s Rachael Martin during the whirlwind of activity in New York the week before the tour started was aired on Weekend Edition Sunday on May 11th. During the spot, Tori and Rachel discussed the new record, motherhood and middle age.
Stream it below or at NPR. You can also download a mp3 of the interview and NPR has also provided a transcript.

The session is broken up into two pieces — one near the beginning of the program around the 6 minute mark and the other around the middle around the 49 minute mark.
Finally, CBS Sunday Morning tweeted today that Tori would be one of the guests on the program on Sunday, May 11th. Those of you who are in the United States, check their station list to see if your local CBS affiliate carries the program and what time it is shown there.
Update: CBS pulled the segment from the program on the 11th. It’s not known when the piece might be aired at this time.
