Frank put up this beautiful video capture of Tori’s performance of “Bouncing Off Clouds” from Graham Norton for us. (Thanks, Frank!)

Tori looks jaw-droppingly stunning here. “Dear Karen Binns: Do that more!”

He also uploaded the entire show in two parts, but for some reason the second bit didn’t come through. Here’s Part One. We’ll add the second half when it comes in.

Tori Makes Rare Promotional Appearance In Oz

    Thursday, May 10, 2007 | 22:34 UTC | Posted by Violet | Minutiae,Toriphiles

Simon sent these photos of Tori making a rare in-store appearance in Sydney, Australia. Okay, don’t get too excited yet. It’s not really Tori. But somebody spent a lot of time on this. This gets an “A” for effort. (Or “A” for affort. Something like that.) This is loads better than the promotion most stores would bother to do, if any at all.

    Note the chicken. Niiiiiiiice!

    Graham Norton Taping Details

    Thursday, May 10, 2007 | 21:35 UTC | Posted by Violet | TV/Radio/Web

Alison attended the taping of the Graham Norton show on Wednesday. Alison says, “Tori came out in a one shoulder very sparkly, cute dress with the red wig on. She sat with Graham and Gérard Depardieu and talked.”

The show gets edited down for TV, but this is what was discussed:

    • the problems of Paris and Britney (Tori thinks Paris deserved it, but feels bad for Britney and her hair)
    • cooking (Tori can’t, Mark does the cooking)
    • her cornflake girl commercial (they showed it, and she explained she needed the $12,000)
    • how she used to play for all the politicians in Washington (and knew their mistresses)
    • the posse, how ADP took 2 years to make, and how the girls only come out for shows

This show’s gonna be aired in the UK in about 25 minutes (15-minute extended time repeat tomorrow night sorry, SUNDAY night), so what are you doing reading this? Go get some popcorn and turn it on!

Tori Article In MetroLife (May 1, 2007)

    Thursday, May 10, 2007 | 21:24 UTC | Posted by Violet | Articles

There’s almost an alternate reality in the States, where you can be very removed from what’s happening in the rest of the world.

The following article appeared in the May 1, 2007 edition of MetroLife, wherein Tori discusses politics (surprise!), American Girl dolls, rock gods, and of course the Posse. Thanks to Sara, Emma + Andy, and Barbara for providing the various pieces.

With five alter-egos performing tracks on her latest album, the incisive singer-songwriter talks to ARWA HAIDER about why she had to use different characters

Tori Squeaks In On "Moms Who Rock" List

    Thursday, May 10, 2007 | 14:09 UTC | Posted by Violet | Minutiae

Tori came in at #30 (out of 30) on MSN’s Moms Who Rock list.

Outspoken and artistically idiosyncratic, Tori Amos has left behind a trail of beautiful music and outrageous pull-quotes to make her daughter Natashya Lorien Hawley (b. 2000) blush.

    Thanks, NeverHer and Marie!
