Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
David Burger turned in a glowing review of last night’s concert at Abravanel Hall to the Salt Lake Tribune that appeared in the July 21st edition of the paper, calling the performance “dazzling” and “mesmerizing.” I guess when you’ve got it, you’ve got it, eh?
As expected, Tori made a short visit to Denver radio station KBCO’s Studio C earlier this afternoon. She performed a pair of songs — “Curtain Call” and “Maybe California” — and chatted with host Ginger about touring and wine recommendations.
KBCO typically archives these appearances and, though it’s not available yet, hopefully, this one will be no different.
Tori and One eskimO are teaming up to give away a trip to attend the final night of the Sinful Attraction tour in North America. The grand prize winner will win air fare, hotel accommodations and tickets to the concert on Monday, August 17th at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston. To enter the sweepstakes, just sign-up using this form on or before August 10th.
As you might expect, there are rules for this contest. The key ones are that the sweepstakes is only open to U.S. residents aged 13 or more and there is a limit of one entry per person and/or e-mail address … but there is lots more legalese there to read if that’s what you’re into — not that there’s anything wrong with that!
Good luck to those who enter!
A couple people have written in saying that Tori will be stopping by KBCO in Denver on Tuesday, July 21st sometime after 1pm in the afternoon. Although it was reported to be mentioned on their website, we’re not seeing it there now. In any case, given the recent track record of dropping in on the local alternative radio station along the Sinful Attraction tour stops, it certainly makes perfect sense — particularly as Tori has made several stops at KBCO in the past.
So, keep your ears on their live stream during Tuesday afternoon and see what happens.
In the meantime, download a phone interview Tori did with BCO Morning Show host Bret back before the tour started on July 6th.
Update: it’s indirectly confirmed on the Morning Show home page and she should be on sometime after 1:00 PM MDT.
Thanks to the many of your who sent in the setlist for last night’s show at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, we finally have it posted now. There were a few tour debuts last night: “Body and Soul” was the second songs of the night, an a capella rendition of “Wampum Prayer” prefaced “Cornflake Girl” and the Lizard Lounge featured “Cooling” and “Etienne.” There was only one encore, presumably due to curfew reasons.
If you were there and would like to review the concert, we’d love to hear what you thought of the show; just use the form at the bottom of the Salt Lake City page.
Tori visited The End Zone on Salt Lake City radio station 101.9 The End today, chatting with afternoon DJ Grant Ruby and performing a 3-song set that included “Leather.” “Maybe California” and “500 Miles.”
The session does not appear to be archived on The End’s website but Karinka3 was lucky enough to be in the studio audience, filmed “Maybe California” and “500 Miles“and was kind enough to share them on YouTube:
While Tori’s recorded a few Christmas songs — “Little Drummer Boy” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” — a whole album of them would seem a little out-of-character for our favorite foe of Christianity. Or would it?
The upcoming releases (article available to subscribers only) in the latest issue of Billboard magazine would beg to differ as it includes a release entitled Christmas, coming out November 3rd on Universal Republic.
Obviously, there has been no word about this from Tori’s management and the release schedule on Universal Republic’s website doesn’t go out that far so there’s no confirmation there but one would generally expect Billboard to have decent sources. Nevertheless, that’s a long way off with a world tour to worry about first so we’re sitting tight and waiting to see how this plays out.
Thanks to Damien for bringing this to our attention.
Update Spinner has picked up on this as well though they do not have any additional information about it.
On the off-chance that anyone out there hasn’t picked up a copy of A Piano: The Collection but still wants to do, head on over to Buy.com where you can find the box set at a deeply discounted price of $23.36 (marked down from $74.98). Not a bad deal at all.
Thanks to rsbryswrrl for tipping us off to this!
This positive review of Friday’s show at the Greek Theatre comes from Soundcheck, the Orange County Register’s music blog. Reviewer Cindy Carcamo appreciated the performance, acknowledging a powerful conclusion to the show. Not sure if it appeared in the actual newspaper or not but I suppose only trainspotters like me care about that stuff anyway!
Several folks have written in pointing out that some of the items being sold out on the road during the Sinful Attraction tour are already available directly from The Tori Store. In addition to three of the tour shirts, they’re also offering up a tote bag, buttons, and the tour necklace — a key and lock, naturally!
Thanks to lushvalley, rusty and Alfred for catching this!
