Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
There appears to be a German translation of Piece By Piece. It was published in paperback on the 22nd of June 2007 by Iron Pages (I.P. Verlag Jeske/Mader – ISBN: 978-3-931624-42-2). The German title Seelentanz translates back into “Souldance” and was translated by Michael Schübeler. However, there is a different cover and the translation has 256 pages compared to the 368 pages contained within the English-language original. There are also some different pictures that were not in the original. Seelentanz can be ordered online at:
But we are sure you will be able to find it in a local bookshop or be able to order it. We are curious to know if there are any more translations about, if anyone knows anything, please get in touch. Thanks to patrick for sending this in! Oh and there is a review of Seelentanz here, so if any of you German-speaking ‘mateys’ out there, have some spare time on yer hands, we would appreciate a translation! wink – wink
We’ve heard the gossip, grumbling and complaints. Yeah, you know: Hey Undented, I served with the Dent: I knew the Dent; Mikewhy is a friend of mine. Undented, you’re no Dent! Well, here is your chance to express your displeasure with our performance by NOT voting for Undented in the “Best Unofficial Music Site” category of the BT Digital Music Awards 07! It’s easy. Really! Just don’t click this link or fill out the form at the page you won’t find there. You’ve even been given a head start since voting ends on Sunday and we were just nominated yesterday!
P.S. If you do want to vote for us, it’s okay: we won’t tell.
Jay Hanna reviewed the first Perth concert for The Sunday Times and the review was posted on PerthNow — where this photograph can be found as well.
According to RockOnTV and The Late Night TV Page, Tori will be one of Craig Ferguson’s guests on The Late Late Show on Thursday, October 11th (technically, very early Friday morning, but late Thursday night for all intents and purposes). As Tori will be playing in New York City that day, one assumes that the appearance will be taped earlier, probably around the same time as the Leno appearance next week. She is not listed, however, on The Late Late Show’s taping schedule yet.
Update: As Nathan kindly reminded us, Tori taped TWO songs back in April: “Big Wheel” and “Bouncing Off Clouds”. The former was broadcast in May, so it seems most likely that the latter would be broadcast during this upcoming appearance.
The Late Late Show airs at 12:35 AM Eastern/Pacific on CBS but check your local listings just in case your local CBS affiliate, like mine, elects to air it at a different time (1:35 AM here in Connecticut — should we call it The Late Late Late Show instead?).
The Australian leg of the American Doll Posse tour came to a close this evening in Perth. Isabel opened the final performance and ended her set of songs with the tour debut of “Virginia”! During T & Bö, Tori acknowledged the past couple weeks in Australia with an emotional improv about saying goodbye. She also played “China”, “Upside Down” and “Cloud On My Tongue” during the solo section of the show. The full setlist, which came to us from Bevan, is in the Tour section where you can also post a review if you’d like to let the world know what you thought of the concert.
Although we added Tori’s upcoming appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to the Calendar when EverythingTori confirmed it earlier this month, we were remiss in posting the confirmation in a regular news article so some may have missed it. So, just to make sure there is no confusion….
Tori and the band will be Leno’s musical guest on The Tonight Show on Monday, October 1st.
The Tonight Show airs at 11:35 PM Eastern/Pacific (10:35 PM Central/Mountain) on NBC — but it never hurts to check your local listings. International viewers should also keep an eye out since the program can be watched outside of the States as well. Undoubtedly, the performance will show up on YouTube as well.
The first Perth concert, and penultimate stop on the Australian leg of the tour, is in the bag. Pip opened the evening, tearing through her usual set of songs including “Bliss”, “Cruel” and “The Waitress” from the back catalog. Tori’s set included “Sugar”, “Siren”, “Hotel”, and, during the solo segment of the performance, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”. Thanks to fullofwish and paperdoll for the setlist which we’ve posted on in the Tour section.
If you were there and want to let us know what you thought of the show, please use the comment form at the bottom of that web page.
Matt Chamberlain’s MySpace page features a dreamy new track called “Everest,” co-recorded with Dan Phelps, Viktor Krauss, and Eyvind Kang. Trent, who wrote in to tell us about the song, wondered aloud whether a Matt-Dan collaboration could signal a new musical venture for Tori’s touring musicians. If we find anything out, we’ll let you know.
Pete sent us a link to this fan-created “Big Wheel” video, this time made up of characters created in The Sims. Good likenesses on all the Dolls!
