Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
Need something to watch on a lazy weekend afternoon? A couple of live concert appearances Tori did for television that are being reaired in the near future could be just the ticket!
First, the episode of Live from the Artists Den that featured Tori will be reshown on many public television stations this coming week in the United States. Most stations tend to air this program on the weekend, but check the TV schedule on The Artists Den’s website or your local listings to see when it will be shown in your area.
Relatedly, the performance, previously released as a “limited edition” DVD package is now available for purchase as a download from The Artists Den. So if you haven’t picked up the DVD and don’t have a local public television station that carries the program, there’s a pain-free way to bring it in to your life—assuming you have a credit card. Looks to be available to be purchased outside the States too (well, at least, it didn’t balk when I selected a nation outside the states).
Second, for those of you with Comcast cable television service, the episode of Soundstage that featured Tori is available on On Demand. Recorded back in 2003, this is one of my personal favorites and is really worth watching more than a few times. You can find it under Music / Live Music…or Music / Soundstage in the On Demand menu.
Thanks to Greg and Valyum for the tips! And remember: if you haven’t seen it before, it’s not a re-run!
Update: Even though Live Nation links to ticketOne.it for Rome tickets, they are actually on sale through ListTicket, starting from 11:00 AM CEST!
After the false alarm on Monday, tickets for the two Italian shows—Milan on October 7th and Rome on October 8th—are slated to go on sale on Wednesday, May 18th at 10:00 AM CEST. Tickets should be sold through TicketOne.it, where a listing for Milan—at Teatro degli Arcimboldi, as ToriAmos.com reported—can already be found.
In addition to purchasing online, there are an assortment of phone and ticket outlet options from which tickets can be bought; they are outlined on TicketOne’s page for the tour.
Though we expect Rome to be added to TicketOne.it by tomorrow morning, there are two other sites to keep your eyes on as well: Live Nation (which also now has the correct venue for Milan) and the Auditorium Parca della Musica’s usual ticket vendor LisTicket, just in case any purchase links appear there or instead of on TicketOne.
As always, good luck to those looking for tickets!
Update: LiveNation.it is now listing both shows with an on-sale date of Wednesday, May 18th at 10:00 AM CEST. Interestingly, they indicate that the Milan show will take place at Teatro Smeraldo, not Teatro Arcimboldi. ToriAmos.com originally listed Smeraldo but indicated that the venue changed to Arcimboldi on the Night of Hunters tour dates. We’ll try to get confirmation of which is the correct venue soon as we can.
Ticket terror is winding down—for Europe at least—but there are still a few shows left to strike fear into the hearts of fans.
On Monday, May 16th, the two Italian shows are slated to go on sale according to ToriAmos.com. Of course, at the time of this writing at least, neither show is listed at either the venue or ticket seller websites…
The October 7th show in Milan at Teatro Arcimboldi. TicketOne.it is the ticket vendor for this venue and they seem to be associated with Eventim, the German ticket agency that didn’t have purchase links for their four shows posted until the last minute, so no listing at this point is consistent behavior at least!
The following night, October 8th, finds Tori at Auditorium Parco della Musica. ToriAmos.com indicates that tickets will be available through TicketOne.it but all the purchase links from their events listing go to LisTicket, so we’d expect ticket for Tori’s concert to be available through there as well.
Given the above, keep your eyes on the two venue’s websites, TicketOne.it and LisTicket.it Monday morning and hope for the best. We’ll update this article and post on Twitter soon as we hear anything either way (keeping in mind that tickets will probably go on sale before we wake up here in North America).
Pssst, in case you missed seeing it on our Twitter earlier, there’s a special fan link to purchase tickets for London and Manchester. Much better seats available there. That link will expire Monday.
Thanks to Darrell and Mary for letting us know.
Friday the 13th. Unlucky for some, but hopefully lucky for those searching for tickets to Tori Amos’ shows in Germany, Switzerland and Great Britian on the Night of Hunters tour!
All four German shows — Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt and Essen — are slated to go on sale at eventim.de, through the exact time is not specified by either Eventim or ToriAmos.com. In fact, Eventim.de is not even listing any of the four shows at this time. However, Eventim.nl does have a listing for Essen which indicates tickets will go on sale at 9:00 AM CEST (8:00 AM in the UK) so one would expect that to be the on-sale time for all four shows. So, best to be ready early just in case.
Update: German promoter MLK’s webpage for the German dates of the tour confirms the 9:00 AM CEST on-sale time for all four shows.
Meanwhile, the sole show in Switzerland this tour, at KKL in Lucerne, goes on sale to the general public at ticketcorner.ch at 8:00 AM CEST.
Finally, the London, Manchester and Glasgow shows all go on sale to the general public at 9:00 AM BST on Friday. Tickets for all three will be available through Ticketmaster. London and Manchester tickets can also be purchased through Live Nation. Manchester tickets will also be available through gigsandtours.com. London tickets will also be available through the Royal Albert Hall’s website and gigantic.com.
On Thursday, May 11th, there are three shows going on sale to all — St. Petersburg, Belfast and Dublin — and the Live Nation pre-sale for London.
London’s Live Nation pre-sale starts at 9:00 AM BST and you must be logged into Live Nation to participate (register here). As with any pre-sale, keep in mind that the tickets made available for purchase will be from throughout the venue, so do not expect only the best seats to pop up (as those who tried for Manchester seats through O2 Priority’s pre-sale can attest). Hopefully though, they will have a good allotment of seats to choose from.
Meanwhile, the two shows on the Emerald Isle go on sale via Ticketmaster: Belfast at 9:00 AM BST and Dublin at 9:00 AM IST (keep in mind that BST and IST are the same time). The Waterfront also sells tickets directly through their website and via their box office at +44 028 9033 4455 while the other options for Dublin are outlined at the Grand Canal Theatre’s website.
Finally, tickets for the St. Petersburg concert will become available through muzbilet.ru on the 12th. Unlike other ticketing agencies, Muzbilet.ru does not complete ticket purchases online. Rather, it acts as a reservation service to hold tickets while you arrange for a bank transfer to pay for them. Alternatively, you can buy tickets via phone at +7 (812) 303 33 33 or at various stores throughout St. Petersburg. For more information, see the sales page at Muzbilet.ru and their instructions for purchasing tickets if you are from outside the area. You can find a seating plan for Oktyabrsky Hall on their site too, though it’s a little blurry.
Update: Taru reports receiving an e-mail from Muzbilet.ru that says tickets for the St. Petersburg show will actually be going on sale at “the end of last week.” Soon as we get some confirmation of the actual date and time, we’ll pass on the details.
Good luck to all going to these shows!
Rather out of nowhere, presales for all four German shows of the Night of Hunters tour started earlier today at o2 more for o2 more members, reportedly with quite good seats being made available.
These shows — Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt and Essen — are slated to go on sale to the general public at Eventim on Friday, May 13th, according to the tour listing at ToriAmos.com but no mention had been made about a presale until these surfaced today. None of these shows are listed at Eventim yet though we expect they’ll appear on that site by Thursday evening, in time for the Friday sale.
Thanks to Mike H for catching this and passing the news along!
By now, most of you have seen the gorgeous new Victor de Mello promo photo that came with the news of Night of Hunters. Now, you can see some behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot which, according to that site, took place on a cold, green day in Cork. Alas, there aren’t any candid shots of Tori, but there are some tantalizing backgrounds that may turn up in the final product. Or maybe even video, given the video-camera rigs on the set. Thanks to Sergio for digging this one up.
Update: Hmmmm…seems the blog post linked above has been removed…or made private…but this post remains, mentioning Victor de Mello’s involvement with the promo shoot.
Update: Google cache to the rescue!
Updated Wednesday 12:20 AM BST
The three UK concerts on the Night of Hunters tour have “value-added” ticket madness in the form of ticket pre-sales. Right now, it looks like there will be two for London, one for Manchester and one for Glasgow.
London and Manchester will each have an O2 Priority pre-sale starting on Wednesday, May 11th at 9:00 AM BST. Manchester’s will last through to the general sale on Friday while London’s looks to be a day long as there will be a Live Nation pre-sale for London starting on Thursday. Pre-sale ticket links will go live on the O2 Blueroom on Wednesday morning, allowing you to purchase tickets for these two events from a pre-sale allotment via O2. The FAQs aren’t clear about whether or not you actually have to have an O2 Blueroom ID to participate in this pre-sale but several people report having to be registered with O2 to purchase tickets through their pre-sales so one should probably do so to make sure your bases are covered.
As mentioned above, there will also be a Live Nation pre-sale for the London concert that starts on Thursday, May 12th at 9:00 BST. To purchase tickets in that presale, you will need to be registered with and logged into Live Nation. The presale purchase link will go live on Wednesday morning at their London listing.
Finally, according to Ticketmaster and Gigs in Scotland, there will be a “DF” pre-sale for Glasgow starting at 9:00 BST on Wednesday the 11th. “DF” probably refers to DF Concerts, one of the big concert promoters in Scotland. There are no indications of password or registration requirements to participate in this pre-sale at this time but one may have to access Ticketmaster via this link to participate.
One thing to keep in mind about pre-sales is that they usually contian an allotment of tickets from throughout the venue—not just the best seats in the venue. the O2 FAQ addresses this specifically:
A wide range of seat types are allocated as Priority Tickets for each show. O2’s Priority Ticket offer does not always guarantee access to the best seats. If you don’t like the ‘best available’ Priority Tickets, you can try to buy alternative tickets through the general public sale.
So, do not feel that the pre-sales are the only opportunity to get the best seats at these shows. Equally good seats will be available in the general sale and, often, will be released for sale as the concert date approachs.
Update: Amazon.com has chimed in with a listing for a deluxe edition of Night of Hunters that shows a release date, in the States at least, of September 20th! It’s not yet available for ordering but you can sign up to get notified when it is. Thanks Greg and Terry!
Several online music stores, including CD Wow, HMV and Play.com have added Night of Hunters to their catalog for pre-order.
While none have shown any cover artwork (well, Play shows Victor de Mello’s promotional shot, they all mention a release date of Monday, September 26th. Given that CD Wow is Japanese and the other two are UK-based, a Monday release date would make sense and it follows that the North American release would be Tuesday, September 27th.
Undoubtedly more details will surface sooner than later but right now, looks like a late September release, just as the European tour kicks off.
Thanks to Yuta and Lesley for the tips!
