Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
Just a quick post to make sure everyone realizes that several shows have been added to Legs & Boots for pre-order. They include Milwaukee, both Chicago shows, Omaha Lawrence, Nashville, Ft. Myers, Melbourne, West Palm Beach, Dallas and Houston.
Additionally, FLACs for the first five releases — Philadelphia, both Boston concerts, Syracuse, and Montreal — are now ready for download.
As some may recall, a copy of hand-written note from Tori was enclosed with early promotional copies of American Doll Posse. Martijn, who described this letter in his early review of the album, has received a copy of the letter and has shared it with Toriphiles ‘round the world. A transcript of the note can be found below the scans Martijn sent our way. Thanks!
Dear Confidant,
That these are ‘Troubled Times’ is no secret. Through a songwriter’s eye, I observe. I observe, like you, the war. The traumatic weather patterns. The tragedies. I, like you, can’t just turn my back on this very fragile Blue Ball that is our only known hope of existence.
But perhaps unlike you, I may get stopped in a store, on the street or in a Starbucks where a young woman in line taps me on the arm… And through tears of raw pain whispers, “What can I do? My boyfriend had to go fight. I hate those bastards behind this Satanic war. I may never hold him again.” Her voice breaks with her last words, “never hold him again.” She asks for a hug and then quickly exits the line coffeeless.
Her words play over and over… “What can I do?”
Not so long ago, a 15 year old looking young woman came up to me and asked, ‘So are you making a new CD soon?’
I laughed at the time and confided, ‘Well, I’m workin’ on it.’ As she made a move to continue on her way, she paused and turned around. And with 1,000 tears fighting to keep from falling she spoke “Well, then tell it like it Fucking is. The war isn’t just out there somewhere you know? I live in a Fucking War.”
She walked away.
Maybe these 2 women will never know the impact that they had on me and this project.
American Doll Posse is my response.

Since the official video for “Bouncing Off Clouds” is pretty much the official video for “Big Wheel,” it should come as no surprise that Sony is holding a contest to produce a video for the song “Bouncing Off Clouds”. As with the “Big Wheel” video contest, they’re providing a selection of performance footage for you to work with — or not, as the case may be — to use to create a video for the song.
Once you’ve made your video, upload it to the Bouncing Off Clouds Green Screen Video Contest YouTube group and enter the contest officially using the form on the contest page. You’ll also need to send a broadcast-quality copy of your video to Epic Records.
The full details — along with the all-important contest rules — can be found at the contest page on Sony’s website.
Thanks to Marlina for the tip and good luck to all who endeavor to participate!
Just in case anyone missed it, the bootleg for the October 13th concert in Syracuse, which had been somewhat mysteriously listed for pre-order on Legs & Boots, is now available for download. Apparently, it was added along last night’s show from Boston — another Clydean effort. Thanks to josh and Timothy for pointing this out! Bear in mind though, as Rich correctly noted, “Rattlesnakes” is not included in the download — perhaps due to the fact that it is a cover?
We’ve gotten several reports of problems with toribootlegs.com, especially since the Boston show was added this morning.
I was planning on grabbing this show anyway, so I just bought it and, I’m somewhat hesitant to report, the download went smooth as silk.
So, while Undented is not in the business of tech support, maybe some of the following will be of assistance….
I’m currently using the newest version of Firefox (version 2.0.0.8) with version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_06-b05) of Sun’s Java 2 Platform Standard Edition.
A quick perusal of the toribootlegs.com FAQ shows a couple potential pitfalls that may be affecting some of you:
And please note this entry if you are using Microsoft’s Vista operating system.
If you are still having troubles, the best advice we can give is to contact customer support, providing them as much detail as possible so that they can help diagnose and solve your problem. (I can’t stress that enough! Details, details, details! The devil is always in the details!)
We’ll be keeping a current copy of the FAQ in this article, behind the cut, for easy access and reference.
We hope this helps and wish you all happy downloading and listening!
ToriAmos.com has announced that Canadian Toriphiles can now purchase recordings from Legs & Boots. (For those of you not paying attention, that’s the download service for live recordings from Tori’s current tour.)
Melissa told us about this announcement at Toriamos.com:
To all of the devoted international fans… Unfortunately because the world isn’t under one law and one currency, selling the online Legs & Boots releases outside of the US is proving impossible at this time. We are however continuing to research ways in which you too can participate in this experience. Until such time that we are able to make the collection available Internationally please give us your name, email and country information below (click ‘more’ if you don’t see the form below) and we’ll contact you once we’ve found a way around these issues. Thank you for your understanding & patience.
ToriAmos.com and Everything Tori have announced the launch of Legs & Boots, a digital download service for complete performance live recordings from the American Doll Posse Tour!
Recordings will be made available within a few hours of a show’s completion for $9.99 as 256 kbps mp3s. For those who like their music compressed without the quality loss, FLAC files will be available as well for $14.99. Due to the large file size, there will be a delay of 4-6 days for FLACs but those who go with that option will immediately be able to download the mp3s to hold them over.
Last night’s Philadelphia concert is already available for purchase and download! (However, note that, as has been said before, not all shows from the tour will be made available.)
If you have questions about Legs & Boots, check out their FAQ for more information and how to contact customer support.
While we’re still waiting for something official about the bootleg downloads, a couple things have come to light since they were announced by ToriAmos.com.
First, during the recent video chat (which Belinda is working on transcribing), Tori mentioned that the bootlegs would be digital only initially. However, there is a chance of some physical CD releases after the tour is over if there are any notable performances.
Second, The NYBG talked to Tori at the VIP meet and greet in Albany and asked about the bootlegs and she told him that Philadelphia would be the first show made available. All shows will be recorded but the venues has a say in whether or not a concert is released.
On the tour DVD front, Robert Schrader tells us that, at Friday’s meet and greet, Tori said the DVD, which she first mentioned in Europe, would be filmed at the first two shows in Oakland in December.
The video for “Bouncing Off Clouds” is now available on Yahoo! Music. As has been reported, this video is comprised of a series of still images of Tori dressed as the members of the Doll Posses and is very similar, though not quite identical to, the “Big Wheel” video.
Yahoo! Music’s video player is Flash-based and should work with all platforms. However, if you have trouble viewing it there, it is also available at Sony Australia’s musicbox and may still be on Rage’s playlist as well.
Thanks to mayfly for reminding me to post this!
