Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
During her visit to Italy, Tori visited the news agency Corriere della Sera to talk about her new album, her career, the impact of Kurt Cobain’s death, and much more. The questions are in Italian, but Tori responds in English (with subtitles!). There’s also some nice live footage of her performing “Suede” with the Apollon Musagete Quartett. Check it out:
Thanks, Maria, Misha, and lilfaerie!
Tori sat down with the Wall Street Journal’s Jim Fusilli in a conversation on Night of Hunters, The Light Princess, and much more. Several of you wrote in with the link last week, but I held off posting it because I actually couldn’t get it to work on any of the browsers I use. If you’re in the same boat, you’re in luck, because now it’s on YouTube as well:
Cheers to Mau, Matt, Lauren, and Maria!
Tori recently had tea with 120 Minutes host Matt Pinfield of all people, who filmed this short ‘n’ sweet interview (called “120 Seconds”), touching on Night of Hunters and the 20th anniversary of “Smells Like Teen Spirit”:
Cheers, Maria!
Tori recently swung by the Better TV studios for an interview with JD Roberto and to perform the first part of “Edge of the Moon.” Fortunately, both the interview and performance are now available on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. Check ‘em out:
Thanks to Maria for the links!
Tori appeared on French radio yesterday, performing “Nautical Twilight” and chatting with “Les Affranchis” host Isabelle Giordano about women as superheroes, Lady Gaga and other topics. You can listen to the program online here. Isabelle’s intro starts around the 36-minute mark, and Tori starts playing around the 36:40 mark. The interview follows; Isabelle asks her questions in French, but Tori responds in English. Thanks to Eiffel for keeping us in the loop!
Tori will appear on the French radio program “Les Affranchis” tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5 sometime between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Central European Time (that’s the middle of the night for folks in North America). She’s expected to play one or two songs while she’s there. You can find out more about the show here, and you can listen online here. Thanks, Eiffel!
While in St. Petersburg, Tori did an interview with the television station NTV which has popped up on their website. In the clip, she talks about the Bösendorfer piano and its feminine voice:
Thanks to atmoravi for the tip!
Soundcheck will welcome Tori back to the WNYC airwaves on Monday, October 3rd to discuss Night of Hunters and perform live. Obviously, this appearance was pre-taped as she’s out on tour now so that has allowed them to kindly post a video from the in-studio to whet the appetite. Check out this rendition of “Nautical Twilight” below…
Soundcheck airs at 2:00 PM Eastern with a rebroadcast at 10:00 PM Eastern on WNYC, 93.9 FM in the New York City area, and streaming live on wnyc.org. They also archive and podcast the show so no worries if you miss it. The show is also carried on WDET in Detroit and on Sirius XM Public Radio (channel 121 on XM).
Update: Stream the appearance at wnyc.org:
The daytime television program Better had Tori in as a guest last week and the appearance aired today, September 29th. Co-host JD Roberto chatted with Tori about how the new album Night of Hunters came to be and the themes that it deals with, followed by a lovely performance of “Edge of the Moon.”
You can watch the video clip on Better’s website — they don’t allow for embedding but one assumes it’s just a matter of time before it shows up on YouTube…
Thanks to AngieZ for the link.
Rolling Stone welcomed Tori to their studios for a chat and they’ve posted a video, just shy of 4 minutes long, of her visit. In the clip, which is different from the interview the German Rollling Stone shared a couple weeks ago, Tori talks about the link between Night of Hunters and the Light Princess musical she’s been working on as well as the variability of her set lists from city to city and night to night.
Check it out behind the fold — the video auto-plays and that’s just plain annoying!
Thanks to Geoff G for the link!
