    New Undented Fun Tomorrow

    Tuesday, December 18, 2007 | 01:40 UTC | Posted by Violet | Site News,Toriphiles

So are we all climbing the walls with boredom yet? Never fear, we still have lots of site areas in development and will do our level best to come up with stuff to keep you entertained.

A new silly bit of fun will debut in the You section tomorrow (December 19th): Tori Turned Me Stupid.

I’ll aim to have it up live around 2pm my time (give or take in the event that I get waylaid by something unexpected), so you’ll just have to check back then to see what it is.

UPDATE: Tori Turned Me Stupid is live. Head over to the You section (click on “You” link in the black bar at the top of each page) to check it out!

Pair Of Free Tix To L.A. Show

    Thursday, December 13, 2007 | 05:50 UTC | Posted by Violet | Toriphiles,Touring

Toriphile Scott just found out he won the LAist.com contest and he has two tickets to the L.A. show on December 16th.

Problem is, Scott can’t go. He lives in Portland and can’t get down to L.A. on such short notice. He’d like to pass the tickets (which come with a free copy of ADP) on to a deserving Toriphile in the L.A. area who can attend this show. He needs to send the LAist.com people the full name and mailing address of the person who is going so their name can be added to the will call list. Then the replacement “winner” will just have to show their driver’s license to pick them up.

If you’re interested in a free pair of tickets to the final show of the tour, send a message to Scott right away. They’ll prolly go quick, so hurry! The LAist.com people need a response from him as soon as possible.

[UPDATE: The tickets are gone. We wish Danny a great time at the show. It’s going to kick ass!]

No General Public M&Gs In Chicago

    Monday, November 05, 2007 | 06:23 UTC | Posted by Violet | Toriphiles

Management wants to give fans a heads-up that Tori’s schedule is booked solid in Chicago on the 5th and 6th and she definitely won’t be able to do any general public meet & greets while there. (Monday’s Platinum VIP M&Gs are still on, of course.)

    New Site Section: YOU!

    Thursday, October 25, 2007 | 22:01 UTC | Posted by Violet | Site News,Toriphiles

Well finally! A new site section!

The You section is devoted to all things Toriphile. Okay, so maybe not all things just yet, but it will be when we get more stuff up.

But for now … ta-da! This is a start. We have the T+T Gallery up and running, and the Links page (now “Sites For Fans”) has been moved there as well (“Links” was living in our toplinks bar temporarily until we had the You section ready to open).

There’s even another little surprise area over there for you as well. You’ll just have to go visit to see what it is.

As with all of our sections, you can get to the You section at any time by clicking on “You” in our toplinks bar. Areas within the section are in the left column (mostly … the Sites For Fans page shows categories in that spot and probably always will).

    Have fun!

Bride of Green Screen: The Bouncing Off Clouds Video Contest!

    Thursday, October 25, 2007 | 04:03 UTC | Posted by woj | Releases,Toriphiles

Since the official video for “Bouncing Off Clouds” is pretty much the official video for “Big Wheel,” it should come as no surprise that Sony is holding a contest to produce a video for the song “Bouncing Off Clouds”. As with the “Big Wheel” video contest, they’re providing a selection of performance footage for you to work with — or not, as the case may be — to use to create a video for the song.

Once you’ve made your video, upload it to the Bouncing Off Clouds Green Screen Video Contest YouTube group and enter the contest officially using the form on the contest page. You’ll also need to send a broadcast-quality copy of your video to Epic Records.

The full details — along with the all-important contest rules — can be found at the contest page on Sony’s website.

Thanks to Marlina for the tip and good luck to all who endeavor to participate!

    Tori Amos Halloween Costume Contest

    Wednesday, October 24, 2007 | 00:43 UTC | Posted by Violet | Toriphiles

Votigo and Tori are having a Halloween Costume Contest. Submit a photo of yourself in your best ever Halloween costume and Tori will pick the winner. The winner gets a ‘Tori Trick Or Treat’ bag containing a signed CD, vinyl, and exclusive tour merchandise.

Also, nienke and Brooke told us that the After Ellen site is also having a contest where the winner of the Votigo contest gets to pick what Tori will wear for the Halloween show in Pittsburgh. But here’s the thing: the the Pittsburgh show takes place on October 30th … the day BEFORE the Votigo contest ends (at 11:59pm ET on October 31st). So how the winner will be able to pick Tori’s costume after the show has taken place is anybody’s guess.

Get the popcorn. If they can pull this off, we will truly be impressed!

The 10/30 Pittsburgh Show Is A Halloween Show!

    Friday, October 19, 2007 | 04:52 UTC | Posted by Saar | Toriphiles,Touring

Jenn and Jessica told us that Everything Tori made this announcement on the 17th of October 2007:

Tori would like to let all of her Pittsburgh fans know that her October 30, 2007 show at the Benedum Center is a Halloween show! Tori’s entire crew (including that spooky seductress, Santa) will be dressing up! Please join them by wearing your favorite Halloween costume!

Woo hoo! Are you guys ready to trick or treat with Santa? I know I am!

    T+T Gallery Clarification (Your Name)

    Wednesday, October 10, 2007 | 20:39 UTC | Posted by Violet | Toriphiles

Just to clarify about choosing a name for yourself in the gallery … you don’t have to use a nickname/handle. You can use your real name. We just need names to be unique for each person. So you can use names like “John Smith” or “John Q. Smith” or “Johnny” or “John S.” or “JohnS,” we just can’t have five different people who are simply listed as “John.”

If your first name is already something unique, like Myrtle, you probably don’t have to worry that there are tons of other Myrtles out there in Toriville. But if your name is “Josh,” you can assume there are probaby a few other Toriphiles named Josh and plan accordingly.

Hope this clears things up (and if you would like to reconsider the name you’ve chosen at this point, let us know now).

UPDATE: Oh, also… We can refer to you differently in your photo description(s) if you like, since we write those manually. For example, if you’re in our database as “JohnDonJuan,” the description can say “John and Tori in Boston on…,” so if you’d like to be referred to by a slightly different name in your photo descriptions, you can let us know that, too. We just have to store each person’s set of photos under a specific username. Well, you’ll see what we mean soon. If anyone wants to make changes to names then, that will be possible for a short time.
