Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
Isabel must have something for cities with names that end in “-apolis” as she was the opener for last night’s concert at Northrup Auditorium in Minneapolis. Her set included the usual features of “Sweet Dreams”, “In The Springtime Of His Voodoo”, “Tombigbee” and “Scarlet’s Walk” — again performed with the lamp prop.
Tori’s set featured, during T & Bö, the tour debut of “Graveyard”, which hadn’t been played since the On Scarlet’s Walk tour. Other highlights from the show included “Pancake”, “Siren”, and “Black Dove (January)”.
The full setlist, sent to us by Robyn, has been posted on the Minneapolis page. If you were at the show and want to join the others who have already opined on the show, use the comment form at the bottom of that page to let us know.
Tori was Terri Hemmert’s guest on Live From Studio X on WXRT on November 6th. During the short appearance, she played two songs — “a sorta fairytale” and “Almost Rosey” — solo at the piano and chatted with Terri about touring, Tash, and being invited to open for Led Zeppelin.
While XRT does archive some of the Live From Studio X interviews, this does not yet happen to be one of them. In the meantime, here is a transcript of their conversation, courtesy of yours truly. Jump the cut to check it out.
Tori will be Mary Lucia’s guest on The Current today, around 5:00 PM Central Time. If you are in the Minneapolis area, you can listen to The Current at 89.3 on your FM dial in the Twin Cities area or at 88.7 in Rochester, MN. There is also an assortment of online streaming options as well.
Thanks to TalulaKim for the tip!
Update: During the appearance, Tori played “Silent All These Years”, “Leather” and “Almost Rosey”. If you missed the broadcast, The Current has kindly archived the appearance where you can stream audio of it in either RealAudio or 128k mp3. They’ve also posted several photos and will be adding video on Monday.
Pip opened tonight’s show at The Vic in Chicago. Many would argue that she closed it too as her portion of the evening ended with a full-band performance of “Me And A Gun”.
Let’s pause for a moment so that you, gentle reader, can absorb that.
Pip. “Me And A Gun.” With a band. With props. A knife. And a gun.
Got all that? Yeah, me neither. Okay, continuing on….
Other highlights of the setlist included “Sugar”, “Almost Rosey” (played during Tori’s set), “Liquid Diamonds”, “Digital Ghost” and “Hotel”. The solo songs during T& Bö were “Winter” and “happy Phantom”. The full setlist, which came to us this evening via Jacob and Guildenstern, can be found in the Tour section.
If you were there — and have managed to pick your jaw up off the sticky floor of The Vic and can type — please let everyone know what the heck just happened!
This concert is available for purchase as a digital download from Legs & Boots.
Update: a video of the “Me And A Gun” performance surfaced overnight and we added it to the Chicago page this morning.
Also, as several of you have pointed out, Perez Hilton has picked up on the news and the YouTube clip as well. Thanks Melissa, Peter and Roz!
The TV show Tori was doing an interview for in Chicago yesterday is Metromix (an entertainment program that airs exclusively on CLTV on Comcast Cable).
We’re told the interview is currently being edited, so we don’t know an exact air date yet, however Metromix airs Monday-Friday at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, and midnight.
Musicians For Wildfire Relief is holding a bunch of eBay auctions to benefit the victims of the California wildfires.
Tori and her peeps have donated two (2) front row tickets to the California show of choice plus a goodie bag filled with merchandise to the highest bidder.
So bid now, and bid hard. 100% of the final sale price will go to fire victims. Bidding ends November 15th at 19:28:00 PST.
As many fans hoped she would, Santa debuted “Raspberry Swirl” at the end of her set at the first Chicago show. The rest of the show included the seldom-played (thus far) “Your Cloud,” “Concertina,” and “She’s Your Cocaine.” Tori had a bit of a flub on “Hotel,” and there was only one encore.
If you were at this show, head over to the Tour section to share your experience.
This concert is available for purchase as a digital download from Legs & Boots.
Tori is scheduled to perform tomorrow (November 6) at 10:30 a.m. on WXRT 93.1 FM in Chicago, Illinois, according to emails and DJs at the station. Those not in the Windy City or its surrounds can tune in online. Thanks to Melissa and Devin for tipping us off to this one.
Management wants to give fans a heads-up that Tori’s schedule is booked solid in Chicago on the 5th and 6th and she definitely won’t be able to do any general public meet & greets while there. (Monday’s Platinum VIP M&Gs are still on, of course.)
Jon Gilbertson weighed in on the November 3rd show at the Riverside Theatre for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. His review appears in the November 5th edition of the newspaper but was posted the evening before on their website.
