    Louisville: Bouncing Off Clydes

    Monday, October 29, 2007 | 20:40 UTC | Posted by Violet | Touring

Clyde kicked things off in Louisville last night, treating the crowd to [the rarely played on this tour] “Little Amsterdam” and “Upside Down.” Fans were thrilled by an improv about how “you can take the girl out of the South, but you can’t take the South out of the girl,” and then multiple pairs of pants were peed when she performed “Take Me With You” during solo time and “Father Lucifer” (with the Steve McQueen bridge, yo!) in the first encore.

If you were there, head to the flashback page for Louisville in the Tour section and share your experience.

Sadly, this show is not available from Legs & Boots.

Austin Show To Move To San Antonio

    Monday, October 29, 2007 | 11:08 UTC | Posted by Violet | Touring

Tori’s management has confirmed that the Austin show will indeed be moved to San Antonio.

The venue change is being made because the Austin Music Hall is under renovation and won’t be completed in time. We’re told an official announcement will be made today and will include all the details about changing tickets, etc.

And before anyone gets their hopes up … there will not be any VIP tickets available for this show.

    Detroit: Santa's Your Cocaine

    Sunday, October 28, 2007 | 15:44 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Santa brought the sass to the Fox Theatre in Detroit last night, feauring the tour debut of “She’s Your Cocaine” during her opening set. Following the interlude, the balance of Tori’s set included “Black Dove (January)” during which Tori left the stage to remove her corset (thanks for the clarification, Ms. Packard), “Honey”, “Siren”, and “Horses”. T & Bö consisted of a trio of songs: “Baker Baker”, “Cloud On My Tongue”, and “Carbon”. The full setlist, thanks to UsKidsKnow and ladydecember, can be found in the Tour section.

If you were there and would like to share your thoughts about the performance, please use the form on the Detroit page.

A recording of the show will be available as a digital download from Legs & Boots. You can pre-order it now, if you’d like, and download it once it becomes available.

Washington Blade Concert Review (October 27, 2007)

Joey DiGuglielmo’s review of the October 26th show at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington was published on The Washington Blade’s Blog on October 27th. (The Blade is a weekly publication serving the gay community in the Washington, DC area. If this article should appear in the print edition of The Blade, please let us know!)

Is San Antonio The New Austin?

    Saturday, October 27, 2007 | 18:19 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

We had heard that the ticket sale for the November 26th show at the Austin Music Hall had been halted and would resume sometime in November (thanks Ruy!). That seemed a little strange but not completely mystifying, particularly because the Music Hall is under construction with major rennovations that are not yet completed.

Last night, Pam noticed that Live Nation’s Tori Amos concert listing now shows Tori playing at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio on November 26th saying the ever-informative “More Info Coming Soon” where you would normally see the ticket purchasing link.

While ToriAmos.com, Everything Tori, the Austin Music Hall and GetTix all still indicate Tori will be playing Austin on that date and there is nothing about this on the Majestic’s website, given the circumstances and the fact that Live Nation is the concert’s promoter, it would seem likely that the Austin show is being moved elsewhere.

Stay tuned — we’re trying to get confirmation of any and all changes for this concert as soon as possible.

    Washington: Yo Isabel!

    Saturday, October 27, 2007 | 16:00 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Unsurprisingly, Isabel stalked on stage at DAR Constitution Hall last night to kick off the show in the United States’ national capitol. Notable songs from the performance included an improvisation about divided houses before “Bells For Her”, “Tombigbee”, “Scarlet’s Walk”, “Hotel”, and “Concertina”. The solo T & Bö section included “Leather”, perhaps inspired by her early days in the local nightclubs and piano bars, and “Jackie’s Strength”. The full setlist, which came to us from Jason Schlemer, has been posted in the Tour section.

If you were at the show and want to let everyone know what you thought of the performance, please use the comment form at the bottom of the Washington page.

Note! As mentioned at Everything Tori, this show is a late addition to Legs & Boots. The files are not yet available for download, but you can pre-order the show now if you’d like to have a copy of it.

Out In Dayton, one of the OutInAmerica website’s regional satellites, is giving away tickets to the November 1st show at Cleveland’s State Theatre. To enter their contest, post a blog entry on their site (you will have to register on the site to do so) titled “Tori Amos Tickets 4 Me” explaining why you like Tori and her music. The entry with the most hits will win. The winners — it appears they will have more than one — will be announced on October 30th.

    New Site Section: YOU!

    Thursday, October 25, 2007 | 22:01 UTC | Posted by Violet | Site News,Toriphiles

Well finally! A new site section!

The You section is devoted to all things Toriphile. Okay, so maybe not all things just yet, but it will be when we get more stuff up.

But for now … ta-da! This is a start. We have the T+T Gallery up and running, and the Links page (now “Sites For Fans”) has been moved there as well (“Links” was living in our toplinks bar temporarily until we had the You section ready to open).

There’s even another little surprise area over there for you as well. You’ll just have to go visit to see what it is.

As with all of our sections, you can get to the You section at any time by clicking on “You” in our toplinks bar. Areas within the section are in the left column (mostly … the Sites For Fans page shows categories in that spot and probably always will).

    Have fun!
